If anyone out there has ever had an extremely hard time making a deck, and has seen countless numbers of other decks, you should be able to tell what's wrong with the decks of today. Take a deep breath, and then take a good look at what's out there. Most people's reaction is..."Blah, blah, blah, let's ban archetypes like Raindance or Haymaker!" So then there's all these articles, debates, and annoying rants about archetypes that continue on and on, with people like the kind I described above who say that there should be Prop. 15, or banning of decks or cards. There's also annoying people who are smartly against banning, but don't know what they're talking about, like people who say that banning is stupid because every time a card is banned, it will be replaced by something else. Well, banning is bad, but the idiocracy in that is that it will be replaced by something else everytime. No offense, but the poor blokes ! who think that their statement isthey say they do. They slap together a deck, and it works! The only problem is that the people aren't creative, they make boring decks like a typical fire deck, the theme is to get out the powerful pokemon, then power them up and cream your opponent. How exciting! So they make other boring combos and decks, such as a grass deck, get the opponent paralyzed or confused...etc., then deal damage to him. Once more, how exciting! This half is the bore of Pokemon TCG, never exciting and never original. The last half is the cream of the sundae, the chocolate of the fudge, the ice of the ice cream,...you get it. Here are the rare candy Pokemon TCG players who, surprisingly, actually take a few good minutes to think about what they're going to do. These are the Albert Einstiens of the game think of a theme that isn't a variation of an archetype and isn't an archetype. Sometimes, they try out anc! ient themes that are "out", most of which are old but very serviciTCG is - about creating the deck, this is what separates the TCG from monopoly, or chess. In chess, you also kill pieces and strategically destroy your opponent, but in chess, you don't have crazy abilities, you don't have a choice of what you want to work and destroy with. To sum this whole article up, most people use archetypes and "variations" of archetypes, others are plain boring, and some are pure genius.
