Nite Owl is flyin' again! Despite my fight with that weird Wobuffet on my
last show, I'm doin' pretty good! Now, on to some strategies!
DECK-STRUCTION
Do:
Water or Fire type (Throw in some night (darkness) and metal too)
These are the only types that nobody is reasistant to. Metal is very
popular yet very afraid of fire. Hmm...
Easiest Double color deck:
Water/Psychic
There are quite a few of these-
Neo Gen. Slowpoke
Misty's Psyduck (ESP)
Fossil Psyduck
Fossil Golduck
Rocket Psyduck
Rocket Golduck
Sabrina's Psyduck
Sabrina's Golduck
Second easiest double color deck:
Water/Fighting
There are tons of water-fightings out there now-
Fighting Poliwrath from water Poliwhirl
Neo Disc. Omanyte (fighting, yet water energy req.)
Neo Disc. Omastar " " " " "
Neo Disc. Kabuto (water, yet fighting energy req.)
Neo Disc. Kaputops " " " " "
Swifters (for baby K.O.ing)
Neo Gen. Electabuzz
Neo Gen. Murkrow
Neo Gen. Cyndaquil
Neo Disc. Yanma
Neo Disc. Umbreon (Feint attack)
Fossil Magneton
More that I can't remember
NO ARCHETYPES! I hate archetypes. I'm always up for the underdog. ALL cards
are broken if you use them right. I like Kirby (you know, the little puffy
thing?). A long time ago, I decided to build a Kirby deck, which would be
dedicated to pink/pinkish-purple, cute, and/or puffy pokemon. This was around
the era when Gym Chall. was the latest set. My Kirby deck had some of the
so-called stinkiest pokemon in it-jungle Jiggly(without the Wiggly-I didn't have
the Wiggly), Dark Slowbro (Just for its pokemon power), Promo Mew(The combo I
mentioned in my first article), Fossil Slowbro (Again, the combo I mentioned in
my first article), and other "weaklings". But you know something interesting? I
won every time I used it. I won against my mom (Who is a brilliant strategist-
never, EVER play her in Monopoly), my younger cousin (who does everything I tell
him to do, and believes everything I say), my older cousin (who always cheats),
and the top players at my pokemon league (with all the toughies). I never lost.
Rocket's Zapdos? Rocket's Zap-toast. Blastoise? Blasted-toy. The point is, play
with your favorites. I haven't booted up the ol' Kirby killer, but here is its
configuration neo-ized:
Kirby 2: Pretty in Pink deck
Dratini(R)-2
Dragonair(B)-1
Slowpoke(R)- 4
Slowbro (F)- 2
Dark Slowbro-1
Slowking-1
Chansey-1
Jigglypuff(J)-2
Mew (promo)-2
Unown D-1
Unown N-1Gastly (F)-2
Haunter (F)-1
Cleffa-1
Igglybuff-0(It looks stupid and stinks)
Dark Dragonair-2
Sneasel-1 (he's a half archetype, so there's only one)
Gold Berry-4
Ecogym-2
Brock-2
Pluspower-2
Defender-2
Double colorless-4
Psychic-12
Potion energy-4
Darkness energy-4
Note:the Neo-ized version has NOT yet been tested (besides I don't have all
those cards)
I can't remember the original Kirby, but the point is, you do the best if
you build a deck around some other non-pokemon-related theme.
Well, I'm out of time.
Fly right,
Nite Owl
