i found out a combo while i was practicing with my houndoom deck.

ecogym and oak are a combo.  ecogym reads, "whenever an attack, pokemon power, or trainer card discards a players non-colorless energy card from a pokemon, return that to it's owner's hand."

well, oak is a trainer card and it discards energys sometimes so take them back to your hand.  that would mean that you would have this:

energy cards in your hand + seven new cards.
