Now, I know that Erika's Dratini is a great card, but a lot of people don't
take the time to read it. It's power is great, but it can't withstand
anything. Take for example Adam's Blaine's Arcanine article on August
18th. He says one thing that isn't true: "You will notice that
Blaine's Arcanine has an attack that does 120 damage!
This is the only card that I have ever seen that does 120 damage. And since no
Pokemon has over 120 HP or Resistance to Fire, this card kills any Pokemon in
one hit! (Excluding Defenders, Mr.Mime, and Erica's Dratini)." He's
wrong. Defenders and Mr. Mime's will work, but Erika's Dratini has this
pokemon power:
Strange Barrier: Whenever an attack by a BASIC POKEMON (including your own) does
20 or more damage to Erika's Dratini (after applying weakness and resistance),
reduce that damage to 10. This power stops working while Erika's Dratini
is asleep, confused or paralyzed.
This is a great power, but a Charizard, Blaine's Arcanine, or a Charmeleon
(Base) are just a couple of pokemon that could KO it in one hit. The power
only goes for basic pokemon, not evolutions. The power is awesome,
however, against haymaker decks, cuz they primarily only use basics, and the
damage will be reduced to 10.
Thanks For Reading.
