Hey.....The JoZ here....I thought I would point out some of the Best Pokemon
in the TCG. 6 From each type..
(Note........I will NOT Include Pokemon such as such as Electabuzz, Wiggly,
Blastoise, EtC. We all know why they are good so no explaination should be
needed)
Fire:
6.Blaines Moltres---90 damage attack is good, however the fact that it needs
5 NRG's to work keeps it lower on da list.
5. Flareon; Jungle---2RR for 60 is pretty good. 70 Hp Decent for Stage 1, 1
Retreat ok. Only drawback is the discard for Flamethrower......but not too
bad.
4. Dark Charizard--80 Hp is not the best for a Stage 2, but the Cont.
Fireball is awesome....just for the sheer fact of how much damage it can do.
3. Charizard---Ok so maybe hes not that good......But consider....120 Hp and
an attack that will kill every Pokemon in one hit except Chansey, Mime and E.
Dratini (and the Chansey will have to be fresh) Sure, it needs to discard to
NRG's to work, but with enough NRG on him, you could Keep Spinnin until youve
collected all your Prizes....(or until you opp. has no more Basics)
2. Rapidash--Jungle--70 Hp is nice, Free Retreat is very nice. Agility is
even Better. Hes probably one of the most underlooked cards.
1 Base Arcanine--Again, a very underlooked card. 100 Hp the Highest for a
stage 1. Flamethrower average, but Take Down....Powerful. Sure the 30 Damage
to yourself doesnt help, but with some Potions and Defenders, and its not
that big a deal.
Water:
6. Articuno--No weakness is the best thing here. Again, i know i called him
overrated, but....noteworthy.
5. Misty's Seadra--W for 20 is good., and WWW for 30 and Possibly 90 is good.
70 Hp ok for Stage one. Plus it looks kool.
4. Misty's Starmie--80 Hp for a stage 1 is great. BubbleBeam good, Water Gun
does the same damage, but no Paralyze, but starts faster.
3. Dark Gyarados--Ice Beam is ok, but Final Beam is....well if it works Great.
2. Base Gyarados--Dragon Rage is insane. 100 Hp rox. Fight resistence a plus.
1. Poliwrath--90 hp above average, Whirlpool the best NRG Removing attack out
there. Water Gun can clean up, but expensive.
Psychic:
6. Jynx---70 Hp is good for a basic. Doubleslap ok starting attack, Meditate
can really clean up.
5. Dark Hypno---60 Hp is a bit low, but Bench manipulation can hurt.
Especially Colorless Pokemon.
4. Sabrina's Mr. Mime.---50 hp is better then Jungle, but no Power to protect
him. However, Sleight of Hand can help you big time.
3. Sabrina's Gengar--Pain Amplifier is pretty good, considering it affects
all the Def. Pokemon who are already damaged. Call of the Night is powerful,
but can benifit you your opp.
2. Fossil Gengar--Power is great. Dk. Mind is good, but less powerful.
1. Dark Alakazam---Mind Shock is good. Teleport Blast is great for Hit-Run
attacks.
Electric:
6. Dk. Jolteon---Lightning Flash great, as it can protect him...which is
needed due to Low HP. Lightning Attack is ok, but......use wisely.
5. Fossil Raichu---90 Hp is good for stage 1, Gigashock is a basis for a
Bench destroyer deck.
4. Dark Raichu---70 Hp low, but considering its Rocket......Surprise Thunder
good, Kinda like Gigashock, but less expensive.....though it doesnt always
work for bench hitting.
3. Jolteon---70 Hp is ok, Pin Missile has huge damage potential, and its
pretty cheap.
2. Base Raichu---Hp is great, Agility good. Thunder can finish em off.
1 Surge's Electabuzz(holo)---Charge is Good, Discharge Great. Can do 90 turn
two.
Grass:
6. Pinsir---Good basic, strong attacks.
5. Erika's Gloom(60 hp)---Healin Pollen good, but a flip isnt that helpful
Magic Pollen is great.....place any status effect on the opp. with a heads.
Almost broken
4. Butterfree---Whirlwind good if no GOW in hand. 70 hp a little low for
stage 2.
Mega Drain keeps him out longer.
3. Beedrill---Twineedle can do lots of damage...P. Sting good too.
2. Erika's Victreebell---Fragrence Trap is good, because its a Power, so a
turn isnt wasted using it. Razor Leaf powerful.
1. Erika's Vileplume---Pollen Defense is one of the best Powers out
there...Confuse the def. Pokemon when hurt, EVEN if you are Asleep, Paralyzed
etc. Mega Drain good for keepin him out there.
Fighting:
6. Aerodactyl---No evolutions can hurt many decks, specifically Raindance and
Wiggly.
5. Base Machamp---Strikes Back is ok...would be better if more damage was
inflicted..Seismic Toss is powerful, though A tad expensive.
4. Brock's Onix(lvl 41)---100 hp basic is Insane, especially since its a
Common basic. Bellow is ok if facin someone who would certainly KO you before
you KO them. Rock Throw ok, when comboed with Pewter Gym
3. Brock's Golem---90 Hp better then fossil, Fissure does 10 less damage, but
faster to power up. Rock Throw ok.
2. Rocket Chan---Crosscounter is mean....Magnum Punch is devastating.
1. I know i said i wouldn't do this but.........Base Chan---We already know
why hes great...I only put him cuz i cant think of another.
Colorless:
6. Fearow---Agility is great of course. Drill Peck solid, and pretty fast to
power.
5. (Tie) Dragonite and Dark Dragonite.....Both Have a good Power, Dark's May
be better though. Both attacks are chancy.
3. Snorlax---90 Hp is good. Power is great. But make sure to have some
switches around when using him.
2. Clefable---only 1 NRG to copy ANY other move. Broken.
1. E. Dratini---Although 40 Hp is quite low, Strange Barrier is almost
broken. Keeps Him out a lot longer for Dragonair....if you want to use him.
