Hi! Here's my take on the top 10 cards in the game, and and an Idea I've had
for a deck based around Dark Slowbro:
Gengar: Here is the top 10 Pokemon in the OPINION of Delvecchio, my master,
up to Rocket,
because we live in England and Gym isn't out yet.
10: Dark Dragonair - yes, very bad attack, but I love that power!! I really
speeds up evolution decks.
9: Mr. Mime - probabaly my favourite card in the game. Brilliant power,
great attack. I usually run 4 in my decks.
8: Beedrill - rarely mentioned, but brilliant. Free retreat, F resistance,
and two good attacks, especially Poison Sting.
40 damage +auto poison? It works out to 50 damage per turn. Excellent. Stage
2 though, but breeder/Dark Drangonair can sort that out.
7: Ditto - one word: Strategy. If you can become the opponent, you can beat
them at their own game.
6: Clefable - Oh yes!! Copy an attack for 1C? Brilliant.
5: Dark Alakazam - 30 damage + free switch and 40 damage regardless of
Weakness/resistance? OH YES! But it only has 60HP. Oh dear.
4: Venusaur - swap your grass energy around? You can power up your active in
1 turn.
3. Blastoise - RAIN DANCE!! Fantastic. Good attack too.
2. Electabuzz - one L energy for 10+possible paralysis, and LC fro 30 or 40?
Excuse me? It's absolutely amazing.
1. Scyther - of course. Free retreat, F resistance, 30 for 3C. Brilliant.
Kills Aerodactyl in 1 turn too. Useful is beyond it.
Also, I have to mention Fossil Magmar, Dark Blastoise, Wigglytuff, Chansey,
MP Mewtwo etc, as they are all brilliant,
but I couldn't put them on my list. Also Hitmonchan. It is a brilliant card,
but I don't like it much. I'm not saying its awful,
I'm saying its brilliant but I don't like it, so please don't bash me. I
don't like it because so much is resistant to fighting,
and Psychic is being played a lot now. It was better in the beginning. -
pre-Scyther/Articuno/Moltres etc.
Gengar: Here is this Dark Slowbro deck.
Right. I saw Dark Slowbro, and I thought: That power could be put to good
use. So, I'm attempting it now. Comments are welcome.
'Reeling in The Darkness'
Fossil Slowpoke x4
Dark Slowbro x3

Psychic Energy x17

Scoop Up x4
Item Finder x3
ER x4
PlusPower x3
The premise is as such: Using Dark Slowbro's power, I will take back any
Pokemon that have been knocked out. Then, I will
Scoop Up/Mr. Fuji/Devolution Beam him back into my hand/deck, ready to play
him again. Item Finder or Slowpoke's Scavenge attack will
get Scoop Up/ Mr. Fuji back again. Mewtwo is the main attacker, with Ditto
the backup and Mr. Mime a staller if the situation dictates the need for it,
and also for Meditate if Psyburn won't do the job. There is only one because
I haven't found much need for it in this deck, but it is useful sometimes.
I started with just 3 Mewtwo, 2 Mr. Mime, but I needed a resistance, so
Ditto cropped up, and Mew I decided was useful for its Devolution Beam.
So Mr. Mime went down to one.
