As I read this letter from Phil
Mondiello, it came to mind what other professional athlete's and officials try
to do when "caught in the act"..... "....I never meant for this to
happen....", ".... i was only trying to help someone...", ".... I'm really a
nice guy..." "... why won't they answer my request..."
Listen, don't even bring up your age in this.... as a player and
judge, you took it upon yourself to play by the rules sanctioned by DCI....
Who knows how many have suffered because of your askew view on rules and
rulings....
Stand up for yourself....and hold your head up high....
take your punishment and accept the consequences of your actions and your so
called "mature behavior"..... do not bring your age into this matter..... your
innocence is not in question.... It's your actions that will dictate what the
future holds for you....
Don't bring this game down with you..... it
was good while it lasted....but, as someone told me.... your not guilty until
your caught....or in your case, by your own admittance.....
I hope
that this suspension will open up the eyes of those who choose to make
concessions and compromise there integrity ... for a lack of morality, or a ...
" one time mistake..."
Good luck, Phil.... from all of us who enjoyed
your battles and friendship through the Games and your advise at POJO's.... take
care....
