Hi people. It's mr. yap here and I'd
like to talk about a few things today that might be very vital to improving your
game. Statis effects and tactics...
Poison
My favorite of the
Statis effects. Hits for ten on each players turn. It's a plus power that always
hits on your turn and hits your opponent on there turn too. Combine that with
real plus powers and a little beatdown force and you've got a real threat
on your side. Favorite poison card: Muk
Sleep
Probably
the worst of the Statis effects. Only a 50%-50% chance of disabling the
opponent. However it may last multiple turns...with luck. Even so, if you want
to disable the opponent, go with paralysis. Favorite sleep card: Haunter
(fossil)
Paralysis
LOVE IT!!! A great disable. Guarantees
the opponent can't move for a turn. Not only a great stall to let you draw that
one all important card but can deal just enough damage to let you KO the
opponent next turn. If that wasn't enough try this... It combos great with
energy removal and poison. Favorite paralysis card: Electabuzz
Confusion
Nasty. Instead of attacking you it hurts itself. Not
only that but it makes it hard for the opponent to retreat. They either lose
energy or hurt themselves. A lot of times the extra 20 damage will put the
opponent in a position where you can knock them out next turn. Favorite
confusion card: Alakazam
Tactics:
Mind Games
Slowking's nasty poke'mon power. Trainers are backfired.
The
Move "Agility"
May make a poke'mon invincible yet it still deals damage.
Solid...
Dark Vileplume's Power
Sorry, I forget it's name but
I'll never forget what it does. No trainers can be played...WHOA!!!
