Master's Pokemon GBA Team Garage
Luke
Hendricks UU Team
October
10,
2005
Before I start, I'd like to thank Luke for saving me the
time of transfering the team to NB by attaching the file
along with the email. I haven't done a UU Team in a while.
Qwilfish@Leftovers - 'Gepokt'
Poison Point
Jolly Nature
200/90/0/220/0/0
- Sludge Bomb
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
A pretty good uu spiker: TWave, sub, and lay spikes when
they don't break the sub due to paralysis. 200 HP EVs gives
321 HP, which is enough to sub five turns in a row from full
health, if he needs to. Sludge Bomb because I hate not being
able to finish something at low health off.
I really suggest using Surf>Sludge Bomb, because it'll
get destroyed by Steelix and friends if you use otherwise.
The rest is fine. The EV Spread works well. I have a new
fave. Qwilfish set.
Hitmonlee@Salac Berry - 'Bruce'
Limber
Jolly Nature
6/252/0/252/0/0
- Endure
- Hi Jump Kick
- Reversal
- HP: Ghost
Endrevver. HP Ghost for ghosties and psychics who want to
ruin my fun with resistances. Limber is nice to prevent
paralysis, which would screw over my Salac boost.
Drop hi Jump Kick. Getting hurt at 1 HP doesn't help. ;-(
Rock Slide or Mach Punch. Mach Punch if Linoone is giving
you problems. I ended up using it.
Flareon@Leftovers
Flash Fire
Lonely Nature
196/252/0/0/0/62
- Double Edge
- Overheat
- Quick Attack
- Shadow Ball
Physical attacker. Overheat is there for STAB, and because
once they see Double Edge, they occasionally assume he isn't
packing Fire, and send out a Steel or summat. 196 HP EVs =
320 HP for max Lefties recovery.
How about Choice band? It works much better. Also, deop
the SDef EVs for Def. You'll need to worry more about EQ and
Rock Slide than Surf.
Golduck@Leftovers
Cloud Nine
Timid Nature
204/0/90/216/0/0
- Calm Mind
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Surf
Calm Minder. Sleep something, CM up, and sweep. CM takes
care of the fairly low special stats. 204 HP EVs makes 352
HP, again for Lefties.
Standard to teh maxorz. I prefer Psych-Up. But that's me.
Also, Cross Chop can be used>Hypnosis. But Hypnosis works
better, imo.
Shuckle@Leftovers - 'Weedle'
Sturdy
Impish Nature
44/0/252/0/0/214
- Protect
- Rest
- Toxic
- Wrap
Wall, primarily physical. Wrap to stick things, then
Toxistall to death. Very nice for taking hits from those
evil CB Fearows I see flying around, with its 614 def. Once
again, 44 HP EVs makes 192 HP for Lefties.
Give it 80 HP EVs. That makes it able to last out an
extra Seismic Toss. Also, I don't like protect. Encore is
much better. It stalls better against DD'ers, etc. and is
more useful all around.
Vileplume@Leftovers
Chlorophyll
Modest Nature
52/0/0/248/210/0
- Aromatherapy
- HP: Fire
- Solar Beam
- Sunny Day
Sunnybeamer. Aromatherapy is nice for when half the team is
paralyzed. Again, HP optimized for Lefties. I'd like to
replace this with something more effective, but the Grass
type attack comes in handy, and it's evil to do without an
AT.
Some things this team could use: A Rapid Spinner, an
electric attack, an Earthquake, and a Hazer/psuedohazer.
Feel free to modify as you see fit, and thanks for your
time!
A rabid spinner? Hmm... Forretress>Qwilfish? It can spike
too. ^_^
Electricity.... HP:Electric>Hypnosis on Golduck? Zap Cannon
on Forretress if you use him?
Pseudo Hazer: You don't really need one, imo. There wasn't
much of a problem with that. Good team, overall.
