9.25.02 Ronin Warrior Character Bios ~Posted by Zero I put up character bios for the five Ronin Warriors. I'll be doing a lot of work on the Ronin Warriors section this week. All of season 1 is now complete. 9.20.02 American Animation ~Posted by Fang We've added some character biographies and episode synopses to our American Animation sections. Zero is beefing up the Spider-Man section, while Fang fills out the Transformers. 9.17.02 Episode Guides ~Posted by Zero I added a review for episode 2 of Ronin Warriors to the Anime Index. I'll continue adding reviews over time. If you would like to write an episode review of one of the series we cover, or even one we don't, please feel free to email it to me. You will be given full credit for your work. 9.16.02 Weiss Kreuz ~Posted by Zero I recently checked out Weiss Kruez and found it to be pretty entertaining. I added it to the anime index. All 24 episodes are listed. Tomorrow I will have a review of the first episode up. Also look for more entries to be added to the anime index.

Anime Expo's official website for the 2003 event in Anaheim, California is now up. You can find
the site at http://www.animeexpo.org . The event will be held from July 3-6, 2003.

Look for more reviews in the coming days. 8.26.02 American Animation Section Open ~Posted by Zero In our continuing efforts to please animation loving fans, we've opening the American Animation section. This will be for noteworthy cartoons animated in the states. I put up a section for Spider-Man The Animated Series, and Fang should have one up for Transformers Armada soon. Also look for more Trigun and Ronin Warrior episode summaries in the coming days. 8.16.02 Transformers: Armada to premier next week ~Posted by Fang It's not necessarily anime, although it's animated in Japan in the Japanese style, but Transformers: Armada is scheduled to premiere as a 90 minute movie on Toonami August 23. Surf to Toonami.com, Cartoon Network.com, and Transformers.com for more details. 8.15.02 The Big O 2: Second Season in Japan in October ~Posted by Pojo Its show time again. The new season of Big O will begin start airing on WOWOW in Japan this October 2002. The Big O 2 will be comming soon to Cartoon Network in the U.S. Also, Kodansha publishers, Ltd has being serialization Manga on Big O. December. It will be licensed to DC's "Wildstorm" label.
8.5.02 Here's some new anime news from Sam at Saiyanz Rage: -Aug. 5th will see the premier of Mobile Fighter G Gundam series on Cartoon Network. A Japanese Producer working with Raijin Comics claims that there will be a new anime shown simultaneously both here and in Japan after September. The series will be shown here on Cartoon Network. Details about this new show will be revealed at Nan Desu Kan where he is a guest. This series was later revealed to be the new Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex by a high level Cartoon Network executive. As he puts it, "I've seen this show and it is awesome." We know from comments made in the Bandai panel that this series will be broadcast in October. The exec also confirmed the existence of the 2nd season of Big O. According to him, they (CN) were un-happy with how the Big O series ended and they managed to persuade the studio into doing a second season. This same approach is being taken with Cowboy Bebop as they try and convince the studio to produce a second season of as well. New episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho will be shown sometime this fall (4th Qtr). In support of the Shonen Jump release, Cartoon Network plans to roll out a new web site called: Adult Swim Reactor. From this website you can read the manga, see videos and other related stuff. Look for it on the web in November. - Sam - http://www.saiyanz-rage.net - Saiyanz Rage 8.1.02 Everyone's favorite eye-patched mercenary--played by Kurt Russell in director John Carpenter's sci-fi classic Escape from New York and its 1996 Sequel Escape from L.A.--is going the way of anime. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Carpenter, producer Debra Hill and Russell are looking to resurrect their famed B-movie character, Snake Plissken, in a new animated feature film in the style of such famed Japanese 'toons as Princess Monoke and Akira. Full Story DreamWorks Pictures has struck a deal to give animation audiences a glimpse into the darker world of a reclusive actress with the Japanese anime film "Millennium Actress." Full Story 7.29.02 Long time no update.... TV Guide recently put out a list of the Top 50 Cartoon Characters. Two anime characters were in the list. Pikachu (#15) and Speed Racer (#49). Look for more regular updates from now on. 6.27.02 I put up a review for the second episode of Trigun. I also put a listing of the Ronin Warrior episodes in the episode summaries page. I have those taped, so reviews should be coming over the next few days. 6.26.02 A new fan fiction is up. To view it or to see submission details see the fan fiction page. 6.25.02 The anime series "G-Gundam", which was supposed to
premiere on July1, has been moved back to August 5. The show will air at 5:30 PM ET on Cartoon Network's Toonami action block. Although
not particularly anime related, Transformers: Armada will begin airing on Toonami starting August 23 at 4:00 PM ET.
6.18.02 Starting on July 6 ABC Family will be expanding their Saturday
cartoon block to 5 hours. Included in this block will be anime titles Beyblade and
Shinzo. Other popular titles to be included are
Spider-Man, X-Men, and the Incredible Hulk.
6.16.02 Added Bubblegum Crisis 2040 to the Episode Summaries. All 26 episodes are listed. I'll be writing reviews over time. I also put up an episode review for the first Beyblade episode. Thanks go out to Ryan for sending that in. 6.9.02 New Ronin Warriors (V.3) and Mobile Suit Gundam (V.10) DVDs
