Episode 3: At the festival at night with Ami
Ami is on her way to work when she runs into Mrs. Monomari. They talk a little bit, but when Junta's mother asks about Ami's cheek [Ami has a mark from the fight at the coffee shop], Ami says that she has to go home. When Ami gets to her room she sits on her bed and begins to think of the fight that occurred the day before and how Junta has not been himself lately.
Junta is still in his room sleeping. He finally does wake up and he does so to see Aoi in her underwear. This causes Junta to nearly throw up. At this same time Aoi is waking up and when she does so she sees what she's wearing and screams. She wants to know what she is doing in these clothes. She then notices that Junta is in the room. Aoi thinks that Junta has taken advantage of her when she was sleeping, Aoi begins to beat up on Junta. Junta says that it is all a misunderstanding. At the thought of her body being violated, Aoi becomes sad and depressed and begins to cry. At the site of Aoi crying, Junta changes into the Mega Playboy. Junta smoothly explains the situation and after doing so Aoi thinks "He's Wonderful", but she makes her self snap out of the trance because she knows she can't fall in love with the Mega Playboy. Junta says that he has been dying to see her again and that he has only thought of her. Aoi is once again put under the spell of the Mega Playboy. Aoi keeps going back and forth between loving and hating him, Aoi finally finds herself holding onto Junta. The two then move into kiss each other, but all of a sudden Ami shows up in Junta's room.
Aoi quickly hides under a blanket and Junta sits in front of her. Ami enters and see that junta has finally woken up. Ami has brought Junta some food to eat because she worried about it. Ami can tell that Junta is hiding something, but he says that it is nothing. Ami puts Junta in a headlock and say that she knows all about him and can tell when he is lying because his nostril's flair. Junta replies by telling Ami that he is changing and is not the same person he used to be. When Ami hears this she becomes sad and lets go of his head. The two site for a while and think about when they were little kids and how Junta used to be a crybaby. Junta panics when while they are talking he sees that Aoi's butt is hanging out from under the blanket. Junta jumps in front of where Aoi is hanging out, but at the same time has to try and stop himself from throwing up. Ami wants to know what is wrong, but Junta says that there is nothing wrong. While trying to cover Aoi up, Junta by mistake grabs onto Aoi's butt. This causes Aoi to jump out from under the covers.
When Ami sees this she calls Junta a dirty pervert, throws an apple at his head, and storms out of the room. Junta's mom enters the room and wants to know what he did. She asks if its "another quarrel between husband and wife", Junta and his mom then argue over whether or not Junta and Ami are going to end up getting married. Junta's mom then explains that she was the one who changed Aoi's clothes. After Junta's mom leaves, Junta explains that he had taken Aoi the day before because she had fainted in front of the coffee shop. After hearing all of this, Aoi apologizes for accusing Junta of taking advantage of her. Junta looks over and sees how cute and innocent Aoi looks and decides he will make his move now. Only he doesn't change into the Mega Playboy, but decides to do it as normal Junta. With his fingers twitching and his face all puckered and deformed, Junta tries to talk smoothly to Aoi, but fails miserably. Aoi realizes that he hasn't totally become the Mega Playboy yet and that his DNA has not yet stabilized. Aoi then tells Junta that the only reason that he is attracted to her is because of the medicine that she shot him with. Junta wants to know why they can't hook up and Aoi says that she could never go out with the Mega Playboy, Junta brings up the fact that she changed his DNA, though. Aoi says that he will become the Mega Playboy and that he is supposed to fall in love and live happily with Ami. At this point Aoi drops the blanket that is covering her and junta must once again hold back from throwing up. With his hands on his mouth he keeps asking why him and Aoi can't be together, Aoi then punches him in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground. Aoi then comes up with the idea that she can maybe prevent the Mega Playboy from awakening if she can get Junta and Ami to hook up.
[Commercial break]
Aoi is dressed and making an exit through Junta's second story window. When she steps on the roof she sees Ami going to make a delivery. Aoi hops down and tells Ami that she wants to talk to her. Ami blows off Aoi, though and just starts walking, she says that she is busy. Aoi realizes she is jealous. Aoi follows Ami and finally asks when she is going to marry Junta. Ami wants to know what Aoi is talking about and Aoi says that Junta's mother told her that Ami and Junta would marry. Ami then says that, that is just talk from when they were little kids.
Aoi then realizes a crowd and asks Ami what is going on. Ami says that a festival is going on and that a portable shrine is coming. Aoi has never seen one so she runs to see it. She is very impressed by the shrine and Ami can't help but wonder why.
Ami then says that she must go, but before she leaves Aoi asks Ami if she wants to go steady with Junta. Ami gets upset and tells Aoi to stop talking like that. Aoi then says that Junta said that he loved Ami, but had trouble telling her because she act like a tomboy. Ami seems sad and depressed by this statement. Aoi then says that Junta is going to meet her at 8 o'clock behind the shrine.
Aoi thinks she has convinced Ami to go, she now must convince Junta to see Ami. Junta is in his room thinking of Aoi when she pops in his window. She asks him if he would like to date her.
Later that night Kotomi and Ami are walking through the streets of the festival. Ami keeps thinking about what Aoi said and when eight comes around she tells Kotomi that she must go. Meanwhile, Junta is walking towards the shrine. He has an earpiece in his ear and Aoi is on the other side. She is telling him where to go and also giving him tips on what to say to Ami. Junta wants to know why he has to see Ami when he is going to date Aoi. Aoi explains that Ami has been worried about Junta and that Junta must thank Ami for visiting him. The two finally are at the shrine together. They stand with their backs facing each other. Every time one of them goes to make their move, they end up getting nervous and play it off with a stupid question, Aoi is getting frustrated with the two of them. Aoi has the mentality that if the two of them get together then Junta will not become the Mega Playboy. Finally after what seems like an eternity, Junta turns around and when Ami hears him she also turns, they are now facing face to face. When Junta looks into her eyes he changes into the Mega Playboy. Junta is happy because he can now say something nice. He calls Ami beautiful and uses lines like:
"Your eyes have captured my hear, and I can not escape"
Junta moves closer to Ami and puts his hands on her shoulders. As he does so, the festival fireworks begin to go off. At the site of this Aoi gets excited because she feels that her mission is over and is a success. She now feels that she will be able to fulfill her life dreams. Out of nowhere, though, Ami winds up and punches Junta, while calling him an idiot. She wants to know why he is acting like a playboy and she thinks he is making fun of her. Ami then leaves and goes home.
Aoi realizes that the Mega Playboy didn't effect Ami, in her shock and disappointment she stumbles down the room she was hiding on and falls to the ground. While lying on the ground she picks up her head and asks why her strategy failed and what will become of her dream, she then lays her head back down on the ground and cries.
