Hello Pojo Fans,
Ayers Rock Sunrise is our Throwback Thursday choice this week.
Monster Reborn for Beast-Type monsters, but with a slight ATK drop for your opponents monsters for a turn. Thankfully you can have multiple copies of the same monster and it will still count towards the number. The more monsters in your grave that fit the criteria, the more ATK drop. Five is a 1000ATK drop for every monster, which is nothing to scoff at. In the archetype we’re covering this week, your Ursarctic monster(s) might drop your opponent by this amount or more with relative ease. The longer the duel goes on, the larger the ATK difference will be, but early on it will be something between 600-1000ATK. In other decks it could function better like Bujin and Ojama, but in Ursarctic it would help get a monster back onto the field to use for a Synchro Summon without having to lose a card in your hand.
Ayers Rock Sunrise is a nice extra Monster Reborn for Beast strategies or a deck that utilizes any of the listed Types on the card (Plant, Beast, Winged Beast) for the ATK drop, but also uses Beasts to summon.

Throwback Thursday is a nice card for any Beast-related Deck: Ayers Rock Sunrise.
Ayers Rock Sunrise is a Normal Spell that lets you target a Beast monster in your graveyard and then Special Summon it, and if you do, all face-up monsters the opponent controls lose 200 ATK for each Beast, Plant, and Winged Beast in your graveyard. The revival is great, which is why Monster Reborn is limited and most other cards like it have some restrictions. This restriction is the hard once per turn, and of course the limit to Beasts only. The ATK reduction is nice, which should be relevant with Beasts likely in your Deck, and potentially some Winged Beasts. The off one is Plants, cause I don’t often see Plants and Beasts run together. Weird it isn’t Beast-Warriors, but I guess it is what it is. The revival is the main selling point to the card, so it’s useful for Beast archetypes like Ursarctic.

Art: 5/5 Chumley could draw some nice cards looking at this and Skyscraper 2.

Ayers Rock Sunrise should fit most any Beast type Deck you build, and up to the discretion of the player as to how helpful it may be. It’s simple, but it works well. Looks like this card had a lone review prior in May of 2014 ironically (just over 7 years ago). The resurrection is always welcome. The attack drop, while negligible, could be fun late enough in the game with a loaded Graveyard, but even on, it could easily still be a 600-1000 point drop or more (also encompassing your Plant and Winged Beasts; not just Beasts). Had to be kept at one per Turn, so we can’t flood too fast, and that attack drop would stack up quite fast x2 or x3 if there were a Grave full of Monsters. It’s a nice way to cycle a resource back to keep one for something else, and make an Extra Deck play with ease.

Art: 4/5 Simple, but enjoyable. That would be a nice view to see the sun rising there.
