Oh I like this one. More than the old Rescue-based Perfect Guard I must admit. So you’re looking at a free meat shield if you damage it, a normal PG if used as standard, and it triggers Rescue. Gavrail has no reason not to run this at 4.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  Sorry about the lack of writing, but I’ve been busy with the channel and with work suddenly giving me the graveyard shifts, so I’ve had to go almost full vampire now, but enough about my life, let’s look at some angels this week.

The new Sentinel for Gavrail is an interesting one to say the least for the more unexpected reasons, which are the best kind if you ask me.  Aside from the usual Perfect Guard skill (which protects any unit and not just the Vanguard thankfully), it has a skill that makes you not regretting damage checking this anymore.  See, if a Rescue Unit is threatened by an attack, this card jumps out of the damage zone to be a 15k shield, places a card out to substitute its sudden jump, and lets you perform one Rescue Check.  The interesting thing about this effect is the fact that (while extremely unlikely) you can get a free Heal if your opponent screws up, but this only works against Dominate Nubatama. See, if Shiranui Mukuro dominates the Vanguard and has it attack a Rescue rearguard, then Arakiba gets to activate, superior calls itself to the guardian circle, and lets you perform the healing portion of the Rescue Check, but since you don’t have a Vanguard to control during the time this was called, then your dominated vanguard doesn’t get the Damage Check part of this skill ergo granting you a free Heal.

In short, if you’re playing Rescue, play this card.
