What's up, you guys?! It's Wednesday, and today's
Forerunner COTD is...
Smiling Presenter
Power: 5000
Grade 0
Clan: Pale Moon
Race: Human
[AUTO]: Forerunner (When a unit of the same clanrides
this unit, you may call this unit to (RC))
[ACT](RC):[Counter Blast (1) & Put this unit into your
soul] Look at up to ten cards from the top of your deck,
search for up to one «Pale Moon» from among them, put it
into your soul, and shuffle your deck.
Ladies and gentlemen, I Present to you...Smiling
Presenter. This is extremely similar to Captain Nightkid
and for good reason because it's practically Nightkid's
effect, but instead of the Drop Zone, the unit you pick
goes into the Soul. In my opinion, it is a LOT harder to
manipulate the Soul in this game than the Drop Zone as
guarding properly and regular mills can set it up
correctly, but Smiling Presenter helps make the Soul a
little more potent as it's adding itself AND another
unit in there.
Much like Granblue, we would have to review a mini
review on the other 3 Starters that Pale Moon have, and
that's Hades Ringmaster, Innocent Magician and Girl Who
Crossed the Gap. In my opinion, Hades Ringmaster is
probably the worst one of them all as it only does a
regular Soulcharge. The only times that really is needed
in general is with Spike Brothers and Dark Irregulars as
they use Soul differently than Pale Moon, and
Soulcharging something bad here can really backfire.
Innocent Magician is actually pretty nice for Pale Moon
seeing how you can get a Grade 3 fairly easier and it
sets up for Soul as well...just don't use it in a Sword
Magician, Sarah build. Last but certainly not least,
Girl Who Crossed the Gap is a lot of other people's
favorites as how she can manipulate the Soul differently
and is a lot better in a late game scenario.
With that said, we really have one contender for
Smiling Presenter, and that's the Girl Who Crossed the
Gap, and I bet you're saying to yourself, "WarLycan,
which one is better?". Honestly, I can't decide that as
they have their own pros and cons. Personally, I like
Smiling Presenter as it combos very well with Starlight
Melody Tamer, Farah, which is my current build for Pale
Moon, but Girl Who Crossed the Gap DOES help set up for
better attack formations. With that said, it's really
personal preference, but as for me, I'm sticking with my
Smiling Presenter.
Rating: 5/5 (The fact that it can help set up for
something that's a lot harder to set up than Nightkid is
enough to make it a 5 for me.)
Art: 4/5 (Nice art, but still no king of the pirates. xD)
Next Time: This guy HAS to have an Orange Lantern as
he's just GRABBING everything!!!
