...Dauntless Drive Dragon is a beast...I could just
end the review here and now, but I might as well
elaborate. Dauntless can basically either force your
opponent to lose their entire hand in an attempt to
guarding this beast of a Break Ride or taking anywhere
from 2-3 damage and sometimes more depending on the
Drive Checks. That and when you're part of one of the
best combos in the game, the Neverendo, it pretty much
seals you a top spot on any Top 10 list. For those that
don't know, Neverendo is where you Break Ride into
Dragonic Overlord The End. The End gains 10,000 power
and the effect to Stand up in exchange of 3 cards. Any
Triggers you get from this will zero out the drawback of
losing cards as the 5,000 power boost makes any future
attacks all but unblockable aside from using Sentinels.
For attack #2, after any Trigger Checks, which now
become more beneficial, you would use The End's skill to
Persona Blast and Stand him up AGAIN for a THIRD Twin
Drive, and note that any Triggers you received from the
last 2 Twin Drives will continue on for the rest of the
turn, so The End will have extra power not just from
Break Rides, but from Trigger Checks as well. To top it
off, that's only one example of a combo that Dauntless
gives. If you never have played against Dauntless Amber,
then give it a try, and watch your hand and field burn
after a simple Break Ride.
Dauntless also has an effect to where he becomes
13,000 should you have more rear-guards than your
opponent when he attacks, so he can still challenge
Crossrides by himself.
Overall, Dauntless is probably known to be Daunting
for a reason.
