What's up, you guys?! It's Thursday and time for
another random COTD. This time, we have...
Battler of the Twin Brush, Polaris
Power: 10000
Grade 3
Clan: Great Nature
Race: High Beast

This one is actual pretty underestimated in my
opinion. Unboosted, it'll be at 13,000 because of its
regular skill, so it's enough to at least make
Crossrides want to guard. His Limit Break is also pretty
interesting seeing how it allows a unit to stand up with
a 4,000 power boost. However, that unit will die at the
End Phase which can be beneficial depending on how a
player uses Polaris. The drawback? Counterblast 2 which
isn't that bad, but depending on the build, you'd only
be able to pull it off once or twice and that's it.
Another gripe I have with it is that it's at 10,000 and
any 7,000 or higher booster with a Crossride spells
trouble for this.
With that said, Polaris is still an excellent card,
but I'd still probably go for Leo-Pald as an ace Great
Nature deck if I had one. :P
Rating: 3/5
Art: 4/5 (It's a freaking polar bear! I couldn't give it
a low score!!!)
Next Time: I summon Blackwing -V...wait a sec this isn't
Yugioh!

Battler of the Twin Brush, Polaris
Here we have
Great Nature’s latest main vanguard. He’s still not the
11k that Great Nature would like to have, but he has
some really good abilities.
His first
ability is the limit break; counterblast two, stand a
rear guard and pump it by 4k, then retire it at the end
of turn. That is quite a bit more aggressively minded
than previous Great Nature vanguards. Cards like Leo-pald
add the power, but only serve to balance out the retire
effect during the end phase, rather than adding more
attacks. Polaris, in addition to re-standing a rear
guard, gains 3k simply by attacking the vanguard. He
does not need to be boosted by another card at all; he
is simply an auto-13k when attacking the vanguard.
The retire part
of the limit break should not be much of a problem, as
many Great Nature effects are designed to balance
effects like that. Cards like Coiling Duckbill come to
mind, which will allow you to draw a card when your
stood rear guard retires, providing you call it that
turn.
Rating: 5/5 – An
aggressive option for Great Nature, and very effective.
