As some of you know, I don't see the appeal in the
Musketeer deck though a lot of people seem to, so I
guess I'll take a second chance on these. Today, we have
Rebecca, and her stats are actually pretty good; a Grade
1 with 7,000 power, so she's a pretty stellar booster,
so what about her effect? At the cost of killing a
Musketeer and a Counterblast, you look at the top 4
cards of the deck and call another Musketeer out...and
honestly, I kinda lost appeal to Musketeers because of
the whole killing others to have a shot at calling
something different during the Main Phase. If these
effects were during the Battle Phase, then I'd think
that these would be pretty good as it would give room
for multiple attacks, but oh well. For the deck, I can
understand seeing how it helps with thinning the deck
out to Drive Check triggers easier, but that still
wouldn't be much especially after using Cecilia's Limit
Break and putting all of those killed Musketeers back to
the deck anyway.
In conclusion, I can potentially see the Musketeers
used as an engine, but as a deck, I'm still not a fan.

Lily of the Valley Musketeer, Rebecca
Rebecca is one
of the primary representatives of the musketeer gimmick.
For a counterblast of one, and retiring another
musketeer, look at the top four cards of your deck, and
call a musketeer from those cards. This skill lets you
load the drop zone with musketeers for your Cecilia
limit breaks later on. The only thing that would make
this skill better would be if it was an activated skill
and not an auto; being able to pitch the unit you called
for another counterblast would be very useful. It is, of
course, entirely possible that you will hit another
Rebecca or a Kaivant which will allow you to do the same
skill again, pitching Rebecca for another musketeer.
At 7k, Rebecca
is a solid booster, but the most interesting thing about
her, I think, is that she is one of the only musketeers
that is actually holding some kind of firearm, and only
hers could be an actual musket.
Rating: 5/5 –
Direct contribution to the musketeer game plan.
