What's up, you guys?! It's Thursday and time for
another Dragon card if the day! Today, we have...
Ravenous Dragon, Battlerex
Power: 10000
Grade 3
Clan: Tachikaze
Race: Dinodragon
[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you
have four or more damage):When this unit's drive check
reveals a grade 3 «Tachikaze», choose one of your
rear-guards, retire it, and this unit gets [Power]+10000
until end of that battle.
[AUTO](VC):When this unit is boosted by a «Tachikaze»,
this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of that battle.
...Battlerex...just...why?! Battlerex is at 10,000
power and can be at 13,000 base power but only when
boosted. That can put it at 21,000 should you have a
Sonic Noa behind it, but that's still slim odds, and the
fact that it's a base 10,000 can be easily bullied by
most of the tournament level units in the game. It's
Limit Break is pretty subpar also seeing how you have to
use the effect (it's not optional) when you Drive Check
a Grade 3. The fact that you can't control this ability
is too much of a risk for a very lackluster payout
especially should your opponent use a Sentinel on his
attack and end up just destroying your own field because
of your own Limit Break.
Battlerex is one of those cards where if it came out
9 months ago, then it would be a good card, but now that
ancient Dragons, Raptors and Dark Rex is out, it's
practically obsolete.
