Cleanup Celestial, Ramiel
"Reverse"
Man, it's been really
lonely last week. No-one but me to keep people from
buying terrible stuff and thinking critically.
But no time to dwell, for
it is time, once again, to showcase NEW CARDS! And we
start with the newly brainwashed Cleanup Celestial,
Ramiel "Reverse". Late Game, you lock 2 Celestial
Rear-guards to give your entire front row 5000 power,
and then, if you have another copy of her face-up in
your damage zone, the opponent picks one of their
rear-guards and sends it to their damage zone, once
you've picked ANOTHER card in their damage and send it
to the drop zone.
Holy crap, that is one
complicated ability. Let's break it down. By locking 2
units, you get 5k power back. Now, this will immediately
cover her own booster since she only wants 5k minimum to
swing for columns, but the second booster you do lock
has to be something that can swing for 11k+ in order to
not lose out. The column that got left alone then can
force out 5k more shield. That's kinda neat, I guess.
Second ability is basically
Amon with no CB cost. As long as you lock optimally, you
can generate a +1 pretty much every turn. Not good +1s,
but we'll take any advantage we've got.
Honestly, though? It's not
the most explosive ability I've seen. Couple it with the
fact Celestials as a deck are pretty slow to start with,
and the more decisive finishers like Descendant, and I
really don't see Celestials or this card making a
massive dent.
She really is a card that
gets worse the more people there are using Crossrides
owing to her locking being unable to compensate for
power. And even in a non-douchebag meta she still falls
kinda short compared to other finishers.
Leave her be and trade her
off to people who don't know better.
