What's up, Rogue Squad?! It's another day of looking
at more Set 13 cards, and today, we're taking a look at
the newest ace of the Nubatama ninjas:
Shura Steath Dragon, Kabukicongo
Power: 11000
Grade 3
Clan: Nubatama
Race: Abyss Dragon
[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you
have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (1)] When this
unit attacks a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you
do,bind all of your opponent's rear-guards face up, and
if the number of cards in your opponent's bind zone is
three or more, this unit gets [Power]+10000 until end of
that battle, and at the end of that turn, your opponent
puts those cards bound by this effect into his or her
hand.
[ACT](VC):[Counter Blast (1)] This unit gets
[Power]+2000 until end of turn.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same
clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)
...this is definitely a hell of a ace to go against
honestly. Kabuki is a solid 11,000 Power with a Limit
Break that can bind the opponent'd entire field, and if
there are at least 3 bind cards after the aforementioned
effect is resolved, then Kabuki gains an extra 10,000
Power. It's important to note the wording on the point
boost effect because it doesn't mean that you have to
bind at least 3 cards to successfully pull off the point
boost, so you can combine this with the Break Ride,
Fuuki or Tamahagane to add more cards to the bind zone
that way and smoothly pull off the extra power bonus
that way.
Overall, this may seem like a pretty subpar card at
first glance, but when combined with the theme of the
Nubatamas, Kabuki is an overall solid card.

Shura Stealth Dragon,
Kabukicongo
4th this week is Nubatama's
2nd ace, Kabukikongo. When he attacks in Late Game, you
Counterblast 1 to bind all of the opponent's
rear-guards, and if you bind at least three, he gains
10k power. The bound units hit the hand at the end of
the turn.
This is a finisher, as if
you couldn't tell. Sealing all interceptors like
Lawkeeper and gaining more power will make the opponent
have a harder time guarding everything when you attack.
There is of course a catch for this massive finisher.
The opponent then gets to arrange their field better if
their field that vanished was making terrible columns
before, since everything that gets bound hits the hand.
So you do need to combine him with good hitters like
Kokujou so that you can murder the opponent before that
happens, since a full field bind means 10k to him.
He's not bad, and Nubatama
got a solid launch, apart from the bad trigger lineup. I
don't see him competing with the big in-crowd, but he's
not a bad way to go.
