What's up, Rogue Squad?! So for this week's cards,
we're going to be looking at the new subclan of the
Bermuda Triangles, Duos. Apparently, Saikyo calls this
week,
"Why-didn't-we-give-advice-to-people-before-they-bought-the-stuff-on-Sneak-Peek-Day
week"...but I'm just going to call it Duos Week, so
let's get started:
Duo True Sister, Meer
Power: 11000
Grade 3
Clan: Bermuda Triangle
Race: Mermaid
[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you
have four or more damage):When a «Bermuda Triangle»
rides this unit, choose your vanguard, and until end of
turn, that unit gets [Power]+10000 and
"[AUTO](VC):[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit attacks a
vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, return all
your «Bermuda Triangle» rear-guards to your hand, choose
up to two «Bermuda Triangle» from your hand, and call
them to separate (RC).".
[CONT](VC):During your turn, if the number of «Bermuda
Triangle» rear-guards you have is four or more, this
unit gets [Power]+2000.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same
clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)
...this has Mond Blaukleuger written all over it
except taken in a more defensive measure. The gimmick
for the Duos deck is to get multiple copies of certain
cards to be able to either activate certain effects or
to give effects added bonuses for having duplicates.
Unfortunately, I have never seen an actual, functional
Duos deck, so I'll openly admit that my ratings for this
week will be a bit odd seeing how I'm very unfamiliar
with the subclan. As for Meer, I think it's just an okay
card if it isn't for Duos. Ironically, the Bermuda
Triangle's Break Rides are meant for their specific
themed decks for the most part; Meer is mainly made for
Duos, Vert works best with PRISM and Planet Idol,
Pacifica works best with......well, Pacifica. As for
Meer, it's just okay in my book unless someone with a
Duos deck can explain to me otherwise. The fact that you
bounce your field to recall 2 of them makes it so that
it can grant a 4th attack and keep the bounced cards in
your hand for defense, but that's all it does.
Also...why is the SP version of this $80?!

I think we were a bit late with these. But I suppose
for the benefit of those who didn't attend the Sneak
Preview last week, we must correct this. So starting us
off is Bermuda Triangle's newest Break Ride, Meer. She
grants your new Vanguard 10k when ridden on in Late
Game, as usual, and a new skill that lets you
Counterblast 1 when she attacks a Vanguard to bounce all
your rear-guards back to your hand and then call two new
ones from the hand to the rear-guard.
She's actually neat. Still not a fan of having to
wait til Late Game before bouncing anything, but Duos
have enough support that'll let them bounce before then,
so no complaints. Not so fond of the CB1 though, since
in order to make it a justifiable +1 you'll have to call
two attackers that can hit the opponent's Vanguard
(without boost, as the Break Ride will have bounced
everything else, so two 5k shields lost overall).
Essentially, most of the time she'll work in a vein
similar to Sweet Harmony, Mona, but even then I don't
want to eat resources to spring the skills of bounce
targets that will then eat MORE resources. Unless it's
cards like Prisms Clear and Celtic, which use soul
rather than damage.
She's a nice partner to another unit we'll review
later this week, though, so hold onto her if you get
her.

Duo True Sister, Meer
Alright, I'm going to flat out say that I don't know
much about the Bermuda Triangle clan, that is, I haven't
played with or against them enough to know everything
that I should know.
So, what we have here is a Break Ride that... Huh,
well, again, I don't know much about the Bermudas, but I
do know that they love to gain advantage by bouncing
their units back to their hand. I think there's at least
one or two that draws cards if you do so.
Anyway, this break ride returns all the rear guards,
then superior calls two units back to the field
And there's at least one or two Bermudas that love it
when you superior call units to the rear guard.
I don't know what else to say, I wish these cards got
more screen time in the show, that's for sure.
