What's up, you guys?! It's Thursday on the "Re-visit
Week", and today, we get to look at another card that
was given a 5/5 rating that wasn't from me...so let's
see what I think of it...
Eternal Idol, Pacifica
Rating: 11000
Grade 3
Clan: Bermuda Triangle
Race: Mermaid
[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you
have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (3)] When this
unit attacks a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you
do, choose up to two of your «Bermuda Triangle»
rear-guards, return them to your hand, search your deck
for up to one «Bermuda Triangle», call it to (RC), and
shuffle your deck.
[CONT](VC):If you have a card named "Top Idol, Pacifica"
in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+2000.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same
clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)
...Out of everyone that's going to review this card,
I'm probably the only one who's going to say that I
prefer Pacifica over the PRISM Legion because of her
being the trickiest boss of the Bermuda Triangle clan to
go against as she can constantly switch the field up
while not costing much of your hand size and can still
be a strong defensive card as a Crossride. As for her
effect, when she attacks the Vanguard, you can
Counterblast 3 to send up to two of your rear-guards
back to your hand to Superior Call any Bermuda Triangle
card from your deck to the field. This can in turn
activate Clear and/or Celtic's effect to give a power
boost if you sent either of them to your hand and cause
a nice power boost for the new unit. That and sending
those cards to your hand also helps when it gets to
their turn as it adds more Shield to your hand, and the
open rear-guard spot(s) gives the flexibility that the
Bermuda Triangles are good at giving. However, the one
huge drawback that I see with this card is the cost of 3
Counterblast, and unlike Illuminal Dragon, where the
clan has ways of unflipping the damage, Bermuda
Triangles can only do it twice should you get a Heal
Trigger to lose one of the face-down damage.
Pacifica is still an excellent card and is my ace for
my Bermuda Triangle deck, but the cost for her Limit
Break wth the lack of unflipping is what prevents me
from giving her the perfect score.
Rating: 4.5/5
Art: 4/5 (She's at least cute...)

Eternal Idol, Pacifica
Oh god, why does this thing have to be so OVERCOSTED?
So what we have here is a Crossride that can
Counterblast 3 to return 2 units to the hand, and then
call one from the deck.
No matter how I look at it, all this really is is an
Alfred that has to wait before it can reasonably go
anywhere. Yes, I know that she also can be 13k so more
defense, but really, if you stack it up to the original
Pacifica's hand refresh skill, not to mention the cards
you can run to the hand with your bouncers such as the
Perle Sisters, and targets like Rio and Carine, the
amount of advantage you can gain in comparison is pretty
negligible compared to Eternal Idol.
But of course, I'm just analyzing it for the skill.
If you look at her in terms of other Crossrides, the old
Bermuda stuff falls flat because all the units with the
GOOD skills can't stand up to the 13k body of Crossrides
without sacrificing their skills to play the numbers
game. So screw you, Pacifica. You could have had a good
skill to justify yourself versus the End, but you don't.
