What's up, you guys?! So this week is what I'm calling Deja Vu Week...because I feel like I've talked about these cards before...oh well. Let's get right to it.

Sword Magician, Sarah
Power: 10000
Grade 3
Clan: Pale Moon
Race: Human
[AUTO](VC):[Choose one of your grade 3 or greater «Pale Moon» rear-guards, and put it into your soul] When this unit's drive check reveals a grade 3 «Pale Moon», you may pay the cost. If you do, choose a «Pale Moon» from your soul, and call it to an open (RC).
[AUTO](VC):When this unit is boosted by a «Pale Moon», this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of that battle.

...For some people, like myself, this is the untalked sister ace of Pale Moon mainly because people are mainly using Farah or Luquier, but why is that? Well, let's break it down. Sarah has a subpar 10,000 power, which can get bullied very easily by anything that can become 13,000 like Break Rides and Crossride cards. For that, there has to be some kind of compensation, and the kind of is. When Sarah is being boosted, she gains an extra 3,000 power, so she herself can become 21,000 at best when boosted by Dark Metal Bicorn, but personally, the potential of this card really comes from her main skill. When you Drive Check a Grade 3, you cna send a Grade 3 rear-guard to your Soul to call anything from your Soul to the field. This essentially makes it so that cards like Alice can become more viable by making it a pseudo Stand Trigger, and when further combined with Fire Juggler, it can really make some devestating switch plays depending on the Soul at the time. However, the one huge drawback about this card is the fact that it solely relies on you Drive Checking a Grade 3, which is the worst thing to Drive Check at all when you're about to be on the defensive.

Overall, Sarah is just an okay card, but it's not going to win any major tournaments.

Rating: 2/5
Art: 4/5 (Definitely one of the better arts for a Pale Moon boss.)
Next Time: I thought CoCo was the only thing that was Soulless...

Sword Magician, Sarah

The backbone of multi-attack decks for Pale Moon kicks the week off with Sword Magician Sarah. Whenever you check a Grade 3 Pale Moon, one of your Grade 3 Rear Guards is put into the soul, and you get a new unit instead.

This card is what really allows Nightmare Doll, Alice to shine. You swing with Alice, hit, swap her for another attacker (or perhaps refreshing an entire column if you have Purple Trapezist in the soul and an empty booster slot somewhere), swing with her, hit a Grade 3, and you instantly get Alice back for more shenanigans. It is a rather scary deck, but it is definitely not one that beginners for Pale Moon should attempt to make first.

For starters, to make the most of the multi-attack deck, you pretty much need to swing with both Rear-guard columns before she checks in, to allow all the Stand Triggers and Grade 3s a chance. You also need to apply power from triggers to boosters sometimes; you can't really chance them on an attacker because you want to swap it for something else other than an attacker. Possibly a booster if you're running low on those. You do need to watch your cards and your Counterblasts, since you need as many as possible open for Alice for the onslaught.

If you think you're good at snap decisions, run her with Stands and run 1 or 2 more Grade 3s than normal. She's a 10k glass cannon, but she can give results.

3/5

Well this is exciting. I’d like to first say hello to everyone and I’m looking forward to giving my insight to others. Bear in mind this is my opinion so please do not judge me harshly. Anyone who knows me knows I have no harsh opinions on any card. Any card can be useful for any person in certain situations.  I judge both fairly and taking into account even if the metagame does not give it love, there is certainly someone who will be a fan. That being said, I shall still judge the card fairly and upon its own merits. So to start my very first review we have Sword Magician, Sarah. Being of the Pale Moon Circus this means this performer has multiple tricks and shows to showcase its talents. And boy does this lady have talents.

I see her as an illusionist. She allows multiple attacks (provided you have a rear guard grade 3 to go into the soul.) and as the vanguard she gives a whopping 13K when she attacks, that’s even before a boost. Which is admittedly very nice. Now is she the strongest in terms of effect? Probably not. But you have to remember that for the Pale Moon Clan…it’s a circus. Now that also means you need a slightly larger grade 3 pool than the usual ratio allows. We see this all the time with persona blasts but in this case, all you have to do is just draw a grade 3.

So what’s the verdict? I honestly have to say…if you have a deck built around her, she’s gold. So in a Sarah themed deck 4/5. She’s not terrible consistent even with her own clan, she’s no terrible but she is a performer and sometimes performers make mistakes. If she’s a solo act in another circus performance  I’d say 2.5/5. Is she a bad card, no. but bear in mind this classy lady demands her own performance.
In her own deck 4/5
In other decks 2.5/5
