Chain Blast Dragon
Next on the list is Chain
Blast Dragon. First skill is as usual a Limit Break:
toss two Grade 3s from the hand and Counterblast 2 to
retire 3 rear-guards. His normal skill activates on
hitting the Vanguard, you retire on of your units to
check the top 5 cards of the deck and add a Grade 3
among those cards to your hand.
...Okay, this is really
terrible. First skill to search? For virtually the same
odds as a starter that searches, you're paying a -1 for
a +0 wash that may not work 100% of the time. It's
seriously wasteful. What's even worse is that assuming
you want to use the Limit Break, you have to
deliberately hold back 2 potential attackers, then pay
-2 for a +3, so it really just works out to being a +1
for CB2. I wouldn't use cards like Cruel Dragon but at
least Cruel is a CB1 for a +1 for as long as Late Game
reasonably lasts!
Chain sucks, both in terms
of opportunity cost and setup. Forget this chump.

What's up, Rogue Squad?! For this today's promo of
the day, we're going to be taking a look at Goku's best
friend:
Chain-Blast Dragon
Power: 11000
Grade 3
Clan: Kagero
Race: Flame Dragon
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you

two grade 3 or greater «Kagerō» from your hand, and

...I'm not 100% sure to feel about this card. The
11,000 power is always welcomed and being able to retire
more than half of your opponent's field is awesome too,
however, being able to pull off this effect, even with
his non-Limit Break effect, makes it extremely tricky to
pull off as you need to discard not one, but two grade
3's. The average deck has roughly 7-8 Grade 3's, and
even then, most people only see maybe 3-4 of them at
best throughout a game including Damage Checks. In
short, you'd only be able to pull this effect off once
at the very best.
Chain Blast Dragon is a few links shy of being a good
card.

Next time: I heard you liked your Break Ride...how about
we use that effect again?!
