What's up, Rogue Squad?! So for today's Card of the
Day, we're taking a look at a card that supports Asura
Kaiser:
Daredevil Samurai
Power: 9000
Grade 2
Clan: Nova Grappler
Race: Battleroid
[AUTO](RC): During your battle phase, when your «Nova
Grappler» becomes [Stand], if you have a vanguard with "Asura"
in its card name, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end
of turn.
...in context, this seems like a decent card, but you
have to look a lot closer. Daredevil is essentially a
Burning Horn Dragon but can be superpowered beyond block
able numbers...UNBOOSTED. When I first read this card, I
thought it was a watered down Golden Anglet, but then I
reread it and saw that Daredevil gets the 3,000 point
bonus for EACH TIME that something Stands, so for
example, taking the past two Cards of the Day into mind,
Mond Blaukleuger and Immortal Asura, if you Break Ride
into the latter then attack with the two rear-guard
columns and then have he Break Ride restand everything
on attack, then (including the Vanguard booster), that's
5 units restanding and a whopping +15,000 boost, and
should Immortal Asura's Limit Break go off, then he's
restanding itself, so that's another +3,000, so
Daredevil will be attacking for 27,000 by himself, and
to top it off, this combo follows suit with the Infinite
Hell formation as when Immortal Asura attacks again,
then you're allowed to restand everything again and give
another 15,000 power bonus to Daredevil putting him at
42,000 power ON HIS THIRD STRIKE UNBOOSTED!!! I think
people are going to knock him really badly and that's a
shame because the Immortal Samurai deck is a really
scary deck as the correct attack formation can actually
make cards like this nightmare columns to go against!

Daredevil Samurai
Next card of the week…oh fancy that, it’s not a Grade
3. It’s Daredevil Samurai, and he gains 3k every time a
unit re-stands and you have an Asura Vanguard.
Remember the Mond/Immortal Combo? Well, once you’ve
re-stood all six units, including himself, he’ll gain
18k. Then upon the SECOND re-stand, he’ll gain 15k. So
he’ll swing for 16k assuming properly scaled columns,
then 34k, then 49k. And that’s not even taking into
account Bear Down Samurai…oh, the pain. But even if you
check no Grade 3s, you’re still accomplishing the
equivalent of a Bad End Dragger/Emperor combo without
hand commitment needed, which is pretty awesome.
In summary, if your deck’s designed to stand A LOT of
things en masse, he’s a good choice. He only has one
deck to fit in, but it’s a good one.
