What's up, Rogue Squad?! For this week, we're going
to take a look at the new exclusives in the newly
released Genesis trial deck, and what better way to
start the week than with the boss?
Regalia of Wisdom, Angelica
Power: 11000
Grade 3
Clan: Genesis
Race: Human
[AUTO] Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have
four or more damage):[Soul Blast (3)] When a «Genesis»
rides this unit, you may pay the cost. If you do, draw
two cards, and choose your vanguard, and that unit gets
[Power]+10000 until end of turn.
[AUTO](VC):When this unit attacks a vanguard, Soul
Charge (1), and this unit gets [Power]+1000 until end of
that battle.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same
clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)
...this is actually pretty basic compared to the
first Break Ride of Genesis, Himiko, but if we had to
choose one, which one would prosper? Personally, I see
Angelica's Break Ride as an excellent card on a
defending style of Genesis where drawing cards for
aggressive defense is the name of the game like the
Artemis Ride Chain or for a certain other card that's
about to be released in the next month or so, where this
card essentially becomes part of a Crossride. Aside from
that, Angelica is just an okay card though the payment
of blasting 3 Soul is still costly even in a Genesis
situation.
With that said, if you have room to use it, then
it'll definitely be better then using Saffron to say the
least.

Regalia of Wisdom, Angelica
Man. I really need to open my email more, I didn't get
to review this until TODAY.
Anyway, it's Trial Deck 13 week, where we review the
newest stuff to come out of the Trial deck for the
Genesis clan. And starting our week off is Angelica, for
the new and soon-to-be-expanded on Regalia series. She's
a Break Ride, that at the cost of Soulblasting 3, lets
you draw 2 cards, and grant the Vanguard 10k. (Note that
it's similar to Mordred Phantom in that if you don't
pay, the Vanguard doesn't even get 10k. Oh, and she
soulcharges 1 on attack, as per usual for
soul-dependent decks.
In a vacuum, she really doesn't stack up to me. Her only
real purpose is to be a Crossride base for one of the
new aces in BT14, but apart from that, having to be
nearly dead and yet paying costs for the purpose of
expanding Late Game for longer doesn't sound that great.
When you're nearly dead, so should your opponent. You
want to end them before they end you. She doesn't really
bring enough to the table to use her anywhere other than
in the upcoming Minerva deck and even then it's possible
Himiko will accomplish more despite the lack of a 13k
body option.
I don't like Angelica, but you know you'll have people
paying for her for ludicrous prices.
