What's up, you guys?! So for today's card, we're
looking at the only card that isn't really blue per
say...
Amon's Follower, Fools Palm
Power: 7000
Grade 1
Clan: Dark Irregulars
Race: Elf
[AUTO]:[Choose a card from your hand, and discard it]
When this unit is placed on (RC), if the number of «Dark
Irregulars» in your soul is six or more, you may pay
the cost. If you do, draw a card.
...so pop quiz: what do this card, Jewel Knight, Prizmy;
Seal Dragon, Kersey; Opener of Dark Gates and Order
Celestial, Yeqon have on common? Answer: They're all
cards that allow you to drop a card to draw a card
(otherwise known as a Drop-n-Draw card), but what do a
majority of those cards have over our Fool here? It's
the fact that either their effect situations are so good
that they can be easily splashed into their respective
clan deck, like Kersey, Eradicator Castor and Opener, or
the archetype they're a part of has the room to put them
into the deck, like Prizmy. The problem with Fools Palm
is that the Dark Irregulars already have so many other
choices to put into the deck over this card that this is
usually put on the wayside most of the time. Don't
believe me? Here's a small list:
Alluring Succubus
Amon's Follower, Vlad Specula
Courting Succubus
Demon Bike of the Witching Hour
Dimension Creeper
Doreen the Thruster
March Rabbit of Nightmareland
Poet of Darkness, Amon (yes, I prefer that over Fools
Palm)
Yellow Bolt
So basically, there's a strong handful of cards that are
just as, if not even more, significant choices as Fools
Palm, but does that make this a bad card? Not exactly
honestly. I see this as more of a personal tech;
something where you can try splashing in 1-2 copies of
this and sees if it helps out, and personally, it can do
the job pretty well if done correctly, so don't go
overlooking Fools Palm because it doesn't involve
Soulcharging...as much as Dark Irregulars players love
doing that!

Amon's Follower, Fool's Palm
Well the last card was wrapped up, now we talk boring
crap. Amon's Follower, Fool's Palm. When he's played on
RG and you have at least 6 soul, you drop a card, and
draw it.
Boring. One-off hand refreshments generally are. I don't
mind others like him because at least they can to some
extent MAYBE prevent Grade lock because they can be
dropped EARLY Game to refresh the hand. This can't;
chances are, by the time you hit 6 soul, it's Mid Game,
which is when you ride to Grade 3. So it does nothing to
unscrew you at the right time.
Screw this thing. It's terrible.
