Lizard Soldier, Fargo
November CANNOT come fast enough. I don't think I can
think of any more interesting stuff to review.
So instead, this week we fall back on the starter
Vanguards of BT15. Kicking things off is Lizard Soldier,
Fargo. By putting him into the soul, for that turn your
Overlord Vanguard gets to retire a rear-guard whenever
its attack hits, Vanguard or rear-guard.
It's alright, as far as starters go now that Conroe is
no longer with us. It's a 1-1 if it succeeds, but it has
the potential to go further. The Overlords have the
capacity to attack more than once, which of course
translates to more potential retire targets. I should
point out however that Fargo is only likely to succeed
if it attacks a rear-guard since guarding the Vanguard
(particularly in stages of the game where it needs to be
anyway regardless of skill) since Late Game operates
around not hitting with the Vanguard unless you're
lucky.
Fargo can be a nice evening-out tool if you're behind by
providing some incentive to guard early, or as a way to
bomb a problematic column if you don't think your
Vanguard will finish the opponent that turn. He's a
staple in Overlord based decks, so find one quick.

Lizard Soldier, Fargo
Looks like it's Forerunner week, folks, everything this
week is a Forerunner, so we don't need to go into the
"when you ride the right clan on this card, call it to
R" skill more than today, plus they all have 5000 power,
so, with those out of the way, let's go into the skills
they posses.
Fargo here, if you put it into the soul while you have
an Overlord Vanguard, you get to retire any rear guards
if you hit.
It's meant to be used with the Dragonic Overlord
Re-Birth Break Ride, but of course this'll work with the
BT-01 Overlord, the Break Ride, The End and any future
Kagero Overlord.
Well, technically, it works with any card with
"Overlord" in the name, so it could work with Phantom
Blaster Overlord, but you probably wouldn't use it in
that deck.
Anyway, hit a rear guard, retire another rear guard,
then hit the vanguard? Retire another rear guard.
It is... insanely good and makes cards like The End
even more pressure-heavy than it already was.
It's a pretty good card, but right now, Red Pulse
Dracokid is a little better for the Overlord deck, at
this moment. This card will be a lot better later
on.
