Dragonic Overlord
I'd call "psyche!" but I'm
fairly sure anyone with an internet connection knows
about the re-trained Dragonic Overlord already. So let's
cut the crap and get to the point. He's now a Break Ride
that grants 10k (of course) and as his unique skill,
just once, when your new Vanguard attacks a rear-guard,
you can toss a card from the hand and Counterblast 1 to
re-stand him regardless of whether or not he hit).
So breaking his skill down,
he's essentially a +1 for CB1. You -1 for riding, then
slay a RG so it's so far +0. You then toss a card and
Twin Drive back 2 so it's an overall +1. Pretty much the
same as others Break Rides like Ignition Dragon or
Wisteria.
What you really want him
for is the fact that he's basically replacing the base
Overlord in The End decks and that new ace in the hole
that's probably being reviewed next week. And the extra
2 checks means more chances of a trigger to pass on.
Dragonic Overlord as a
stand-alone really should be combined with whatever gets
multiple shots like his obvious partners as Dauntless
can probably fill the niches for any other ace. However,
because of what he is I'd hold onto him if you do pull
him.

Dragonic Overlord
As he rested from his battle against Majesty Lord
Blaster and Phantom Blaster Overlord, Dragonic
Overlord's tomb was invaded by the Link Joker itself.
Looking on to the tomb as if it would be an easy
target, the Link Joker proceeded to pour the power of
the Void into the tomb, to turn the strongest leader of
Cray into a willing puppet of Link Joker. However, the
Overlord was not so easily consumed. Waking up from his
slumber, he glared at the Link Joker units before
grabbing the power of the Reverse and eating it. Using
this new power, the Overlord slaughtered the Link Joker
that dared to disturb his slumber, before he took off to
face his rivals in battle once more.
Again, been waiting on this for awhile.
Okay, now, one thing that needs to be said about this
card, it has the same name as the BT-01 Dragonic
Overlord, thus you can only use four combined copies of
either this or the original Overlord. It's not so bad,
any Overlord support such as Burning Horn works with it,
plus it gives Dragonic Overlord the End its cross-ride
defense.
So, now that that's out of the way, how does this new
Overlord work?
Well, for starters, it's a Break Ride. It also gains
+2000 attack if it attacks and you have more rear guards
than your opponent does. Any Kagero that rides on top
of it gets +10000 power and, if they attack a rear
guard, CB1, discard 1 Kagero in the hand to restand the
Vanguard and attack again. It should be noted that you
HAVE to use the Break Ride skill if you want to restand
again. So, for those of you thinking "I'll just combine
this with Overlord the End and persona blast after
attacking a rear guard and then get the free restand
after attacking another rear guard", it won't work, at
all. However, it does not need to be the first attack
of the turn. Meaning you could attack with Overlord the
End to the Vanguard and, if you hit, persona blast to
attack a rear guard and restand again. Not exactly a
good idea, but you can do it.
Now, how does this compare to Dauntless?
Well, Dauntless is better for most Kagero decks, since
you want to put all your pressure on the vanguard
itself.
This, however, is better for decks that focus around the
Overlord himself. If you're running Nouvelle Vague, you
want to use Dauntless, not Overlord. If you're running
The End, you'll want to use Overlord.
As a side note, if you think about the Break Ride skill,
it is a very nice homage to the original Dragonic
Overlord as you first have to attack a Rear Guard before
attacking the Vanguard.
