Metalborg, Sin Buster
FINALLY. GEEZ. It's Metalborg, Sin Buster, the new unit
for Dimension Police, fresh from BT17. He Legions with
Metalborg, Uru Buster, and for that reward, you can seal
any Grade 1 or above guards the opponent has during
their guard step. But only when Sin Buster has a power
of 30k or more when its time to guard.
So when in Legion, he's 20k. He now needs another 10k.
The most reliable and certainly the more spammable way
is to use Metalborg, Black Doctor, a 10k booster for the
VG while in Legion, to make it 30k. Otherwise, a Mist
Ghost or Russell Blizzard can give it the power a
booster alone can't give it.
But that's not all. When he attacks a Vanguard and his
power is 20k or more, if the attack hits, you draw a
card. So most likely, that skill will come alive when
you're in Legion, because honestly, getting Sin Buster
to 20k before then is pretty reliant on chance due to
how complicated it would be.
PG sealing is always an awesome skill, and it helps that
he's easy to setup within his own deck. But you do need
a fast game all game to use him well, since he gains no
extra crit on top.
He's a good card who addresses Dimension Police's main
weakness. Use him if you want a good D Police deck.

Metalborg, Sin Buster
"We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your
ships. We will add your biological and technological
distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to
service us. Resistance is futile.”
Well, with Light Saver Dragon I had to make the Star
Wars reference, with this, well, who DIDN'T see a Star
Trek reference?
Well, these Metalborgs are new Dimension Police from an
alternate dimension, and I think they're from the
alternate timeline that the Bluish Flame Liberators, the
new Star-Vaders, the Witches and the new Kagero, are all
from. While they fight for Justice like the
Dimension Police, they're far less likely to show their
enemies any sort of mercy.
Well, Sin Buster here is one of the Uber-tier Legions,
and is one of the main reasons why people (especially
here on Pojo) are screaming for Daikaiser and Commander
Laurel to get banned.
Before I go any further, Sin Buster legions with Ur
Buster... Oh, I get it now, Bushiroad! Sin
Ur... Sinner, VERY punny! Anyway, Ur Buster
states that when you perform Legion, choose one of your
Vanguards and that unit gets +4000 for the turn, and if
you hit a vanguard, retire one of your opponent's rear
guards.
Anyway, this Legion is much like Seeker Alfred, it's not
really a Type-1 or a Type-2, seeing as it's continuous.
Okay, the non-Legion skill. If Sin Buster here
hits a Vanguard and the power is 20,000 or higher, you
get to draw a card. ...Which is pretty much useless
unless you're in Legion, seeing as giving this unit
+9000 power when not in Legion is a tall task, even for
Dimension Police.
And the Legion skill is, when this unit attacks a
Vanguard, if the power is 30,000 or higher, it gets the
Glory Maelstrom effect.
And this is why people want Daikaiser and Commander
Laurel banned.
First of all, unlike Daiyusha, Sin Buster here can be
boosted to 30,000 or more to get the effect, it doesn't
need to be at 30,000 at the start of the attack, so
boosting it with a 10K Legion booster means that the
effect will go off.
Secondly, Daikaiser gives it +10K and +1 critical, plus
the chance to luck sack a Grade 3 to kill any defense
the opponent can muster up.
Third, if you have Commander Laurel out, you can restand
Sin Buster and attack again if the attack hits.
So, if you add all three points up, you can kill an
opponent when they're at 2 damage, even if you were at 5
before-hand.
Sheesh... It's... Rather insane.
And, yes, the thing is still Uber-tier even without
Daikaiser, simply because of Laurel and it's Glory
Maelstrom skill.
Even if you only swing in for 20,000 on the second
attack, you still have 5 more cards in your hand if you
got Laurel's skill off that turn.
Rating: 5/5
Legion Rating: 5/5
Edit:
When I wrote this review I had no idea that Japan had
implemented new restrictions which included Commander
Laurel.
