Metalborg, Black Boy
...you could have chosen a better BT17 card or hell,
another promo we didn't review yet, Nanya. Just not
this. Not this.
Black Boy is a Dimension Police starting Vanguard with
Forerunner as standard. Now, as an ACT skill, you can
CB2 and move 4 Metalborg rear-guards into the soul, as
long as you have a Vanguard that's a Legion Mate for
something. You then ride the corresponding Grade 3 from
the deck, and then Legion with it from the soul.
No. Not happening. It's too reliant on you NOT having a
Grade 3 to ride and even then, the cost is ludicrously
expensive for something that doesn't even have units
that do well while in the soul, unlike Dimensional Robos
(and even then I STILL don't recommend Goyusha). What
you'd basically be doing is trying to get an early Sin
Buster and then use its normal skill to draw and maybe
try and get the advantage back, but it's not something
to count on.
At least Daimagnum actually helps Sin Buster in the
absence of Black Doctor. Just run that instead of this
piece of filth.

Hoo boy, Black Boy... Alright, the only reason we
need to cover this is because some people don't know how
this works.
To put it simply, it Superior Legions. Even if
your opponent is at grade 1, you can use this to legion.
If your vanguard is Ur Buster and you have 3 other rear
guards, you can counter blast 2 and pull a Goyusha to
get Sin Buster from the deck, and THEN you get to take
Ur Buster from the Soul and perform Legion with it.
You do NOT need your opponent to be at grade 3 with this
skill. You do NOT need to have four cards in the
drop zone with this skill. You DO perform Legion
with this skill.
So, if anyone tells you "no, you can't do that because
I'm not at grade 3 and you don't have 4 cards in the
drop zone", just tell them "Superior Seek Mate", and
watch Season 4 where it was done.
So, yes, this unit is a staple in Metalborgs and should
be used if you're using Metalborgs.
