Jewel Knight, Swordmy
No, we aren't using this week for promos, despite what
this may tell you. We ARE reviewing G Booster 1 stuff as
well. Starting us off is basically the replacement for
Sybill in Jewel Knights, Swordmy. When placed on RG
circle, you Counterblast a Jewel Knight to summon a
Grade 1 or less Jewel Knight from the deck.
Simple enough, and certainly, thanks to the amount of
support they have, one of the easier decks to set up for
stuff needing a lot of rear guards. Having said that,
however, a consistent field as I've said before isn't
really going to cut it alone unless the Vanguard has
some sort of party trick as well.
It does, thankfully. That's tomorrow. For now however,
he's pretty good as a stand-alone card despite being
restricted to his group of Jewel Knight friends.

Jewel Knight, Swordmy
Hey, everyone, we're starting our look at G-BT-01 this
week and first up is one of the box toppers for G-BT-01,
Swordmy.
Apparently, in the past, his legion partner, Yvain, was
being attacked and was going to perish had Swordmy not
came and saved him. Since then, the two have been
great friends.
Aww, how cute.
Anyway, Swordmy is one of the cards that people have
been looking forward to for a long time. Why?
Well, if you especial counter-blast 1, you can superior
call one Jewel Knight, grade 1 or lower from your deck
to the field.
This... Is really good. Unless you're
running Seekers, and I'm talking about Seeker Alfred and
Light Saver Dragon here, you should be running Swordmy,
doubly so if you're running Stride Royal Paladins,
seeing as all that style is focused on Grade 2s from the
deck. To be frank, I didn't think it was too good
of an idea, not running pure Jewel Knights, but then I
found that Stride Royals aren't as flexible or as able
to recover from their field getting nuked like other
versions of Royal Paladins have in the past.
In case you're wondering how to run this card, turn all
your triggers into Jewel Knight Triggers and run Shellie
and Prizmy as your grade 1s. You can also run the
Jewel Knight Sentinels if you really feel like you want
to max out on your chances to use Swordmy as well.
The short version of it is this, Swordmy is a staple for
most Royal Paladin decks, just like how Blaster Blade
Seeker is a staple for Seeker decks.
And, yes, people of the Pojo forums, I agree, hail our
savior Swordmy!
