Divine Knight of Flashing Flame, Samuel
Oh hi Dragruler. Royal Paladin's latest Stride option
hits the scene. When he attacks and you have 5
rear-guards, Counterblast 2 and the opponent immediately
takes 1 damage if they have 4 or less damage, treating
it as a damage check (so if any triggers get revealed,
bam, they activate).
This card's not exactly a max-copy card, but it's
actually not bad. What I like about him is that he's on
attack: He can take an opponent who's on 3 damage to 4,
pushing them to HAVE to Perfect Guard lest a Critical
smite them and they die. So it's perfectly feasible to
suddenly have Samuel attack first because of pushing the
opponent guaranteed into Late Game. I just wish we had
more cards that can fetch boosters though...
But on a high note, on-call abilities to fetch new
allies make a bit more sense here since you could
feasibly have 3 damage open and so can spare 1 to summon
a new ally. I'm thinking something ludicrous old like
Sanctuary Guard Dragon who on-ride fetches Richard who
can draw into new cards to fill your board...
Tech him at 2 or thereabouts if Gablade's lacking a bit
of punch for the situation you're in. He's a bit hard to
set up when Mid Game hasn'ta lot of cards to go round,
but not as hard to play as sodding Primavera.

Divine Knight of Flashing Flame, Samuel
Okay, here we go, final card of the week, and my
personal favorite of the set, Samuel.
I wonder if his last name is Jackson?
According to the lore, he was the first Pegasus Knight
in the United Sanctuary in the past. Guess that's
where Gancelot and Young Pegasus Knight learned their
skills from?
If your rear guard line is full and your opponent is at
4 or less damage, you deal 1 damage to them, a la
Dragruler Phantom, on attack.
Full field of rear guards is pretty easy for Seekers,
and by Seekers, I mean Brutus, Alfred Exiv and Light
Saver, not STD, which is a Seeker in Name Only, and even
Jewel Knights can load the field pretty fast without
burning up a lot of hand to do it thanks to Cancer Cat (Swordmy).
Heck, if you use the Ezer and Alfred Legion, loading the
field is easy as pie.
I like this one better than Saint Blow Dragon, simply
for the fact that the damage is guaranteed, regardless
if you slam into a Perfect Guard or not.
Only downside is that they still get a damage check, so
Vortex Dragonnewt has him beat in that regard at least.
