Covert Demonic Dragon, Aragato Spark -
#G-TCB02/005EN
Date Reviewed:
Aug. 22, 2016
Shadowstitch-[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 2:At the end of the battle that this unit attacked a vanguard, if the attack did not hit, choose up to three of your rear-guards, search your deck for up to one card with the same card name as each of those units, call them to separate (RC), shuffle your deck, and at the end of that turn, return the units called with this effect to your hand.
[AUTO](VC/RC):When your drive check reveals a card with the same card name as a unit on your (VC) or (RC), you may put the revealed card on the bottom of your deck. If you do, draw a card, choose one of your units, and it gets [Power]+4000 until end of turn.

It's finally time to start reviewing the new support
for the under-supported clans! Who's hyped? Not me, it's
mostly Generation Break and thus pitiful against my
Grade 1 deck, but that's beside the point.
Aragato Spark is first. The first skill is GB2 and only
works on VG circle: Shadowstitch: When his attack on the
vanguard doesn't hit, choose up to three of your
rear-guards, clone them once each to separate rear-guard
circles, then bounce them back to the hand at turn's
end. His second skill's good on VG or RG circle: If your
drive check reveals a card that's got the same name as
your vanguard or rear-guard, you can put it back to the
bottom of the deck, draw a card, and then give a unit 4k
power until end of turn.
First skill isn't all that interesting given you'll
almost never want to use this over Striding again if you
can help it, but an extra attack plus guard quality to
hand for free is always pretty good. You're mostly
wanting him for the second skill. You're aiming to give
a rear-guard power so it can attack a vanguard, mostly
with Kagamijishi and anything else that can attack from
the back-row. And at least he works as a rear-guard that
can potentailly alter guard quality if you're lucky and
is a nice clone target.
Obviously a backup to Yasuie but he's a good one. Out of
the RRR Grade 3s in here's he's my favourite.

[Covert
Demonic Dragon, Aragoto Spark]
Aragoto's GB2 should only really be banked on when a)
you ran out of Stride fodder, and b) when they're at 5
damage. Since the attacks Aragoto are gonna create
aren't super-high in power, you're mainly gonna want to
use it to eat whatever remaining cards your opponent has
in hand late game.
His
second skill is nice too. It turns duplicates of what
you have on board into pseudo-triggers, but the real
draw here is keeping clone targets of key rearguards in
the deck for your next turns. Aragoto is also Dual
Weapon's best target for cloning, especially during the
turn you stride into Yasuie Tenma.
This
is your obvious Murakumo backup for Shadowstich. Run at
4.
