Sometimes a card belongs here not because of how it's
good functionally, but more for what it brings to the
table to something that for years couldn't escape the
stench of underwhelming meh-factor. I mentioned in an
article that a re-standing G Unit would basically make
anything terrible suddenly not suck anymore, and
Sunshine Vert went on to prove that much. Doesn't carry
triggers over a la Nextage but that's just about the
only thing wrong with it. Salute her. Play her. Or
fantasise about her in a dark room somewhere, if that
floats your boat.

Sometimes, Bushiroad throws Oldguard decks support, and
it is token at best. Occasionally, Oldguard support
actually catapults a deck into viability. Enter Sunshine
Vert, a unit that'll set up restand plays, breakride
shenanigans, and multiple attacks. Bushiroad
overcompensated PRISMs this year for being overshadowed
by Duo's restanding Reit since 2014.
Limit Break decks, if being ran competitively, are used
due to not being blocked by anti-Stride Grade 1 and 2
shenanigans. On the flipside, they need a punch that'll
make them threatening when going against a Stride deck.
Ethics Buster Catastrophe can hurt, but not like Victor/Sazanda
shenanigans. Eradicators only hurt if you ride Gauntlet
Buster before your opponent gets to Grade 3 and call a
LB enabler. Maelstrom's breakride turn got neutered by
G-Guards. But PRISMs, from their old and new support,
are a threat at every stage of the game with the right
person playing it.
For basically being fishy Nextage, giving PRISMs an edge
over their G-Era Harmony.dek counterpart, and being a
shining example of what Oldguard support needs to
make an archetype relevant in the G-Era, Vert earns the
7th spot on this year's list.
