Rikudo Stealth Dragon, Gounrakan
We only need to get through this one week, and then we
can start on G-BT07! Let's hang tough, people! So
starting off the week is Rikudo Stealth Dragon,
Gounrakan. When he appears on VG circle, your opponent
chooses two of their rear-guards, and then they bind all
of their other rear-guards. If forced to bind three,
they immediately lose two of them to the drop zone. And
as usual, the bound cards return to the hand at the end
of the turn.
Technically not a total board-kill because it only gets
to kill off threats if the board is full, and the
opponent can just spare the most important stuff you
want dead, but it's nice to combine with cards like
Kuroko and Agitomaru for pressure and if successful gets
something nasty out your hair.
A nice enough alternative first Stride to fight dat Neo
Nectar I guess, but most of the time you'll want the
other option. Don't feel that this is a 4 of card.

So what do we get with our Nubatama Stride to start the
week?
An on-stride, no need to flip anything, unit that binds
up to three of your opponent's rear guards... And
if you bind three of them, they have to immediately send
two to the drop zone?
That... That's pretty good.
As usual, if they have any units put into the bind zone
by the Nubatama skill, then they go back to the hand if
they're still there at the end of the turn.
Only thing that would make this better is if your
opponent had to discard a card at the same time of
sending two bound units to the drop zone.
But that would be TOO good, I think.

This unit is good as a 1-or 2-of
for the matchups against superior call-heavy decks, Nova
Grapplers, and Aqua Force. He binds the board like Kabukicongo did
back in 2014, with the added benefit of getting rid of 2
cards permanently if the opponent had a full board.
You have Shiranui's crit to replace the soul that you
lost, and Fuuki if the situation's worth using his
effect. Call Kamojigusa
if you need that third retire, and you'll rustle your
opponent's jimmies, even if just a little bit. And let's
not forget Kokujyo, cause he'll love the buffs.
It's
nice that this guy came out, because if you weren't
running Kabukicongo, you couldn't mess with your
opponent's whole field in your Nubatama deck.
