Okay. Well. Victor here now adds yet ANOTHER G-Unit for
Nova Grappler that can attack again. His GB2 is after he
finishes attacking. By discarding 1 card and
Counterblasting 2, you stand a rear-guard for every
face-up G-Zone card you have. Stand three or more, and
you can discard 3 cards to Countercharge 1and stand him,
but he loses 2 Drive Checks for the rest of the turn.
This isn't once per turn, by the way. So as long as your
hand's big enough and your Counterblast's good enough,
he can actually attack more than twice a turn.
Well anyway, as far as restanding goes? At his most
optimal it's pseudo-CB1 and a -3 overall once your
single Drive Check is counted (-1 for the skill, -3
again, then +1 Drive back) to force the opponent to PG
or die. Admittedly it had to be more expensive because
of all the rear-guard attacks on top of all that. What's
keeping this from being degenerate is the fact hard
advantage is not something Nova Grappler is good at.
Sufficient field control will still make this cry, and
you HAVE to have 4 cards in the hand after Drive Check
to make this work, not to mention a G-Guardian after you
used Bustard or G4 Victor, otherwise this is a
third-Stride-only card to get the most out.
High impact but too slow to spam. Asura with Samurais
and of course Rush Victor will like this very much as an
option though.
