-
#G-TD14/003EN
Reviewed: July 17, 2017
[AUTO](VC):[Counter Blast (1)] When your G unit Stride, you may pay the cost. If you do, reveal the top card of your deck, put it into your hand, and if that card is a card with "Chouchou" in its card name, choose up to one of your rear-guards, and put it on the bottom of your deck. If you put a card on the bottom of your deck, draw a card.
[CONT](VC) Generation Break 1 (Active if you have one or more face up G units in total on your (VC) or G zone):During your ride phase, if the number of your rear-guards is one or less, you may Stride without paying the Stride cost.

Chouchou Debut Stage, Tirua
Good heavens, look at the time. It's Waifu Wank-fest Week.
Supporting probably the most well-publicised minor clan
in Vanguard with old decks and this new Chouchou deck.
With Tirua headlining most of it.
First skill, the Stride skill is pretty bog standard. It's
effectively a complicated +1 for CB1, same as always.
It's supposed to combine with Chouchous that spring when
sent back to the deck, so there's that, I guess. The
free-Stride skill is pretty neat, but generally not
reliable unless you're fighting anything that habitually
ruins fields: Chouchou is no Magia. You're looking for a
Laprina as late as possible in the game for such a
thing.
I'm not sure what else to say about her because I'm pretty sure her
usefulness only extends as far as the usefulness of
Chouchou itself. And first impressions are not great. It
has tank potential, but no way to resource recharge
reliably, no backup Grade 3 that works unlike the new
Lauris build, lack of cost efficeincy, and generally
crappy G-Units. Once resources are gone, it hits a brick
wall.
Fun to use but not fit for competitive purpose. The card itself is
good though.

It's that time of year again!
Time for waifu-tax season to skyrocket all those
swimsuited SP mermaid cards to unbuyability! But
assuming you're willing to spend a bit, let's see what
new toys the Berm uda Triangle gets (and heck, we'll
even start with a cheap one!)
Tirua is the marquee for the
new bermuda gimmick, which instead of just outright
bouncing units, it returns them to the deck to draw new
ones instead. On the one hand, this is kind if a
downgrade because you can't reuse the same card over and
over like other Bermuda strategies. On the other hand.
the types of advantage you get are rather high, not to
mention the ability to cycle non-triggers to the bottom.
Tirua also joins the ranks of Luard in the "Stride costs
are for suckers" category, letting you stride for free
as long as your field is mostly clear. And in this world
of mass retires, that's pretty guaranteed (plus you can
just open spaces yourself!) Her stride bonus is a decent
draw effect, nothing too unusual, but it does rely on
you having rear guards to get full value. Not bad
overall, but we'll have to see how Tirua competes with
the likes of Lauris and
PR💟ISM
(or any of the other bermuda decks, i guess)
