I mean, they weren’t going to get everything I guess? Hello Pojo Readers, Crunch$G here with something different. We now know the full setlist for Quarter Century Stampede and the last reprints to get a Quarter Century Secret Rare, and with Alliance Insight to be the last set with the rarity, I wanted to look into all the cards I think should have been given a Quarter Century printing. There’s admittedly still a ton of cards, so I hope they do get a Starlight Rare when that returns, but it’s sad with this rarity gone forever that these cards will miss out on a rarity to celebrate the milestone of this game being 25 years old, but first, a few things I want to address.

Elemental HERO Air Neos: Yes, this did deserve the rarity, but we still don’t know why Konami won’t reprint it officially, and it isn’t in Master Duel, so it shouldn’t be expected.

Takahashi Artworks: This is another case of cards that for sure deserved them, but we don’t know how Takahashi would feel about his artworks being used since he passed, so I get these are tough to want to touch, and I understand why they weren’t.

Lost Arts: Just assuming they want to keep this exclusive to OTS stores.

With those two situations out of the way, I’ll get into the list of cards that deserved this rarity why do I think they should have been given this print. Now note, I won’t hit every card that I would have been fine in getting a QCR, I just hope to hit the biggest misses.

Flame Swordsman – One of Joey’s iconic Fusions that got support in Maze of Millennia in 2024, it didn’t even get a Collector Rare, so I don’t know why they also skipped on a Quarter Century Secret. Either artwork would have been nice.

Gaia the Fierce Knight – An iconic Yugi card that doesn’t get too much love, so seeing this in QCR would have been nice, again in either artwork.

Celtic Guardian – Apply Gaia’s logic to this basically.

Raigeki (Slifer Alternate Art) – A new artwork of an iconic Spell with an Egyptian God featured? Stunning this was only printed in Prismatic Secret.

Mystical Elf – Lowest ATK of the early 2000 DEF monsters, but one of the most iconic ones.

Curse of Dragon – If we were to give it to Gaia, we should have also given it to this.

Gaia the Dragon Champion – I would have been fine if they skipped Gaia the Fierce Knight and Curse of Dragon if this got the QCR at least.

Harpie’s Pet Dragon – We got what, a single Harpie card in QCR? Would have been nice to see Mai get more love with her Harpie archetype.

Last Will – Old banned card that could use a modern printing just to get PSCT at the very least, but would have been nice in QCR.

Waboku – Shocking this has no foil printing to begin with.

Card Destruction – One of the more forgotten power Spells that’s still limited, has had its place in the game’s meta in the past.

La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp – Just to respect its place in the early stages of this game’s history as one of the bigger beaters we had, plus Kaiba used it.

Lord of D. – This mostly stands out because The Flute of Summoning Dragon has a QCR.

Gate Guardian – Would have been indifferent if it was the pieces, but Gate Guardian himself deserved it.

Summoned Skull (Alternate Art) – The one from Duelist Pack: Yugi and Millennium Pack, this would have been nice to see.

Harpie Lady Sisters – Similar to Harpie’s Pet Dragon, we got a lack of Harpie love. Elegant Egotist would have also been fine since it’s playable in modern Harpies.

Black Skull Dragon – Getting Summoned Skull and a majority of the Red-Eyes artworks, it’s unfortunate their iconic Fusion doesn’t have a QCR.

Time Wizard – This card has a ton of love behind it, so, sadly, it got ignored during this campaign.

Kuriboh – This will always be the most shocking card to not have a QCR, especially since Japan got it as a promo.

Thunder Dragon – One of the classic deck thinners that would have also been nice to see for modern Thunder Dragon Decks.

Barrel Dragon – Missed out in both TCG and OCG regions, which is sad since Barrel Dragon is fairly iconic.

Thousand Dragon – I don’t know about Baby Dragon, but his grown-up Fusion for sure deserved it.

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon – I won’t list every Toon card under the sun, but Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon is one of the standout Toon cards with no QCR.

Relinquished – Pegasus’s ace Ritual that has no real nice printing beyond a Secret Rare.

Confiscation and The Forceful Sentry – I understand Delinquent Duo was chosen since it was the one legal in Goat Format, but the other iconic hand rip cards also deserved it.

Painful Choice – One of the most broken Spells ever getting skipped is unfortunate.

Hungry Burger – With some of the other meme cards to get it, Hungry Burger would have been nice for Nouvelles.

Senju of the Thousand Hands, Sonic Bird, and Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands – Mainstays in past format Ritual strategies, especially Manju.

Attribute Floaters – UFO Turtle, Giant Rat, Shining Angel, Mother Grizzly, Flying Kamikuri #1, and Mystic Tomato, these were all fairly memorable cards that had a place at one point.

Exchange – It’s iconic and has had use over the years, so a QCR would have been nice at least.

Time Seal – Not the most iconic Draw Phase skipper, but would have deserved a QCR at the bare minimum.

Dust Tornado – Great for past formats with MST at 1.

Limiter Removal – Either art would have been fine for a Machine OTK enabler.

The Legendary Fisherman – One of the most memorable cards from Mako, at the bare minimum his ace should have been QCR.

Thousand-Eyes Restrict – Relinquished missing is one thing, but the powerful Metamorphosis target from Goat Format not having a QCR feels like a crime.

Gearfried the Iron Knight – Mostly based on the moment Joey almost beat Marik with it, but he deserved a QCR for how iconic he is.

Millennium Shield and Cosmo Queen – I assume many remember opening McDonald’s packs to pull these. Almost want to lump Slime Toad with this for the years of Frog the Jam.

Magnet Warriors – Mostly Valkyrion I guess, but the rest would have still been cool for collectors.

The Masked Beast – These old mask cards really go underappreciated.

Revival Jam – Another card that has a lot of love behind it.

Mask of Restrict – Another mask card that was a floodgate for several formats.

Jar of Greed – Pot of Greed is locked behind the Pot Collection, but Jar of Greed would have been nice for past formats and to be more accessible.

Jowgen the Spiritualist – Recently banned, but shockingly has no foil and has been used a ton in past formats.

Dark Necrofear – Bakura’s ace missing a QCR is sad.

The Last Warrior from Another Planet – One of the most memorable Fusions to cheat out when you could, would have been nice for past formats.

Destiny Board – Add the Spirit Messages if you want and make it a promo pack in something, but sadly that never happened.

De-Fusion – Would have been funny to break apart Fusions in QCR as we can FusionSinister Serpent Summon them.

Penguin Soldier – Penguins have a decent fanbase, and I’m sure it all stems from this card.

Sinister Serpent – The errata might make it super forgettable, but back in the day it was insane for discard fodder.

Harpie’s Feather Duster (Harpie Artwork) – Honesty if this came with the Early Days Collection as a QCR instead of 2024 tins as a Secret, I would have been fine with it.

Yata-Garasu – The card with possibly the longest ban stint to this day, even if that

changes soon, Yata being the reason we have a Forbidden section should have earned it a QCR.

Dark Balter the Terrible, Ryu Senshi, Fiend Skull Dragon – More old Metamorphosis targets that saw a ton of play, all three would have been nice QCRs.

Reinforcement of the Army (Sky Striker Art) – Unfortunately the TCG couldn’t print this alternate artwork with a QCR like Japan did.

Super Rejuvenation – A defining part of the full-power Dragon Ruler strategy that dominated the game.

Fiber Jar – Likely wasn’t fun to play against, but it is a powerful Jar card that had a place in the game.

Airknight Parshath – One of the best tribute monsters from Goat Format, so no QCR for it is sad.

Yamata Dragon and Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi – I don’t know how many will agree with these, but I always liked these two.

Asura Priest – Another mainstay from Goat Format and one of the few good Spirit monsters we ever had.

A Legendary Ocean – If there was an “Umi” to get a QCR, it was this one.

Bottomless Trap Hole – With the Trap Hole cards that are QCR, it’s so shocking that this wasn’t one of them.

Bad Reaction to Simochi – Hasn’t been printed in years and Nurse Burn did have a following.

Drop Off – Memorable from old hand rip Decks.

Last Turn – Another card that likely wasn’t fun to play against, but it is for sure memorable.

King Tiger Wanghu – Has been a solid stun card for years against Decks using weaker monsters, so a QCR would have been cool.

Pyramid Turtle – Zombies are popular in past formats like Edison, and this is an extremely good card for them.

Don Zaloog – Yet another great Goat Format card and one of the more iconic ones at that.

Mirage of Nightmare – Don’t know if there’s a popular past format with it legal, but it has made an impact on the game.

Reckless Greed – Another good past format card for slower Decks to get early draw power.

Reaper on the Nightmare – Not just good with Metamorphosis in Goat, but also with Instant Fusion in Edison.

Royal Tribute – A strong card for Gravekeeper’s, would have been nice to go with QCR Necrovalley and Gravekeeper’s Spy.

Nightmare Wheel – One of the more memorable cards Marik used in the anime not named Ra.

Spell Canceller – I know Jinzo is more iconic, but Spell Canceller would have also been nice in QCR to negate Spells.

Kaiser Colosseum – Old banned card with no foil, plus HAT Format Bujins would probably love this.

XYZ-Dragon Cannon (The Other Two Arts) – I think the original would have been my choice for a QCR if I could only make one, but we at least got one art.

Magical Scientist – How many don’t remember Scientist FTK?

Tribe-Infecting Virus – I’m mostly shocked at how many Goat Format mainstays didn’t get a QCR.

Mass Driver – Just cause it would be funny to do the old Frog FTK with the burn card also in QCR.

Dark Paladin (The Other Two Arts) – We at least got the original, but would have been nice to see all of Dark Paladin’s arts get this love.

Shinato, King of a Higher Plane – It’d be something from the Virtual World arc that was memorable at least.

Exodia Necross – It’s an Exodia card so that alone I feel like merited it getting a QCR.

Butterfly Dagger – Elma – The Guardian cards don’t stand out too much and need retrains, but this is a far exception.

Tsukuyomi – One of two Spirit monsters to have been banned, plus yet again another Goat Format staple.

Chaos Sorcerer – We at least got BLS – Envoy and Chaos Emperor Dragon, but this would have been nice in the formats where those two aren’t legal.

Black Luster Soldier – Again, we did get BLS – Envoy, but the original Ritual is still so cool, so it’s sad it got passed up.

Dark Sage – I noticed a recent appreciation for this card, so a QCR would have been nice.

The End of Anubis – It’s been a good floodgate monster, so why not in this case?

The Agent of Creation – Venus – You can add Mystical Shine Ball as well, but this should have joined Earth and Master Hyperion.

Legendary Jujitsu Master – Still able to list off Goat Format mainstays honestly impressive.

Burst Stream of Destruction – A card of Blue-Eyes’s iconic attack, so it would have looked nice.

Monster Gate – We got Reasoning, so I don’t know why we didn’t get Monster Gate.

King of the Swamp – Has seen play in some modern Fusion strategies like Tearlaments, so a QCR would have been fine.

Dark Magic Attack – We got Dark Burning Magic and Dark Burning Attack, so the original for Dark Magician feels like a missed opportunity.

Theinen the Great Sphinx, Andro Sphinx, and Sphinx Teleia – Add the Pyramid of Light as well if you want, but the movie was memorable, so the Sphinxes would have been cool QCRS.

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon – The Retro Pack 2 version is heralded as a major collectible, so having a QCR would have been another good collection piece.

Blade Knight – One of the best ways to handle the FLIP monsters in Goat, and the TCG never got the Ulti of this.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 – One of the coolest boss monsters in the game not from the anime.

Ojama King – More Metamorphosis targets, and this one has GX nostalgia.

Inferno Fire Blast – Goes with the attacks for Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician, plus Red-Eyes has used this to FTK.

Mind Crush – A great Trap in past formats when you could check the opponent’s hand with this.

Makyura the Destructor – Cause who didn’t love using Trap Cards directly from their hand?

The Creator – Another of the cooler boss monsters not to be featured prominently in the anime.

Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast – Great for Decks that ran Skill Drain.

Dark Blade the Dragon Knight – Another Fusion not printed in years that also was great with Metamorphosis.

Harpies’ Hunting Ground – The key Field Spell to the Harpie archetype.

Silent Swordsman LV7 – Bonus points if they also gave it an alternate artwork like Silent Magician LV8.

Kaibaman – It’s literally Kaiba with a Blue-Eyes helmet, plus he was a character in GX.

Cyber Harpie Lady – Probably one of the more preferred Harpie Ladies for collection.

Granmarg the Rock Monarch – Was hardly used, but the other 5 regular Monarchs got a QCR, so they might as well finish the set.

Gearfried the Swordmaster – If we give it to Iron Knight, might as well include his upgraded form as well.

Armed Samurai – Ben Kei – Only because I know people have fun with the Ben Kai OTK.

Gatling Dragon – Add yet another good Metamorphosis target to the list.

King Dragun – See above, plus it’d be better for old Decks running Dragons.

Swords of Concealing Light – Swords of Revealing Light retrain that has had use in the meta over the years.

Spiral Spear Strike – Add on Gaia’s attack Spell as well, plus it’s used in the Deck.

Threatening Roar – Great for Stall in past formats, plus modern use against a strategy like Tenpai Dragons.

Classic Elemental HEROs – Just lump them all together. Bubbleman would have been nice, and the OCG got both artworks for Avian, Sparkman, and Burstinatrix.

Winged Kuriboh (Original Art) – We got an alt art, but it’s odd the original wasn’t chosen instead.

King of the Skull Servants – We got base Skull Servant, but not the king.

Card of Sanctity – Iconic from the anime, even if the real version is far from as broken.

Toon Table of Contents – One of the most powerful searchers an archetype can get, and it’s for Toons as well.

Embodiment of Apophis – To go with the most recent Odion support.

Winged Kuriboh LV10 – A cool and iconic upgrade to Winged Kuriboh.

Cyber Twin Dragon – We got base Cyber Dragon in both arts and Cyber End Dragon, but sadly Twin was skipped despite being great back in the day.

Cyber End Dragon (Alternate Art) – We did both artworks of Cyber Dragon, sadly Cyber End didn’t get the same treatment.

Power Bond – Iconic from Zane and has found use in modern Cyber Dragons.

Miracle Fusion – Jaden’s iconic Fusion Spell also should have got a QCR, especially since it’s also been used in HERO.

Dragon’s Mirror – Would be fun to summon a Five-Headed Dragon with this.

Skyscraper – Skyscraper 2 got it, but the original that was used more in the anime didn’t.

Gilford the Lightning – I don’t know how many know this, but the TCG has yet to get the original artwork of this after 25 years of it being in Japan.

Divine Sword – Phoenix Blade – This has allowed for a ton of broken stuff between Airblade Turbo and Infernoble Knights.

Exchange of the Spirit – Was iconic enough to get its own broken archetype, but not give it a QCR itself.

D.D. Warrior – Would have gone nicely with D.D. Warrior Lady and D.D. Assailant.

Poker Knights – We did get support to make this an archetype in 2021, would be nice to have the three Knights and even Arcana Knight Joker in QCR.

Hydrogeddon – Was a good card back in the day for summoning more copies of itself.

VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon – This would have gone nicely with XYZ-Dragon Cannon.

Elemental HERO Tempest – Has a bit of love as an iconic HERO Fusion.

Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman – Speaking of iconic HERO Fusions, it’s shocking Jaden’s original boss monster didn’t get a QCR when Flame Wingman did.

Armed Dragon LV10 – People loved Armed Dragons, but sadly we couldn’t get a QCR of the big boss monster.

The Sacred Beasts – These and Armityle skipping out is very unfortunate when we got the original and DSOD artworks of the Gods, playable and unplayable in the case of the original arts.

Demise, King of Armageddon – Include Ruin as well, but the first great Ritual deserved a QCR.

Toon Dark Magician Girl – Another Toon monster I think especially is worth mentioning.

Destiny HERO – Diamond Dude – This was a great card back in the day when you saw Destiny HEROs.

Destiny HERO – Dreadmaster – Aster’s first boss monster would have looked great in QCR.

Banisher of the Radiance – Would be nice for Stun to have more of the banishing cards in QCR.

E – Emergency Call – The powerful searcher for Elemental HERO cards deserved a high rarity.

Clock Tower Prison – Could have gone nicely with a Dreadmaster upgrade.

Elemental HERO Neos (Alternate Art) – We get nearly every artwork of Dark Magician while the other aces were ignored.

Neo-Spacians – More iconic Jaden cards that all got ignored, especially the ones that were used in the meta at one point.

Destiny HERO – Dogma – The second boss monster of Aster’s Deck also sadly got ignored.

Destiny HERO – Dasher – Another good card for the old Destiny HEROs plus it was used when Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer was everywhere.

Elemental HERO Neos Fusions – All of them can fall under this, even if we still have to ignore Air Neos, some of the others at least deserved it.

Neo Space – Might as well add the Field Spell for the Neos section of Jaden’s Deck.

Five-Headed Dragon – Either artwork, but it’s stunning how this got ignored.

Dragon Master Knight – We might have Magia now, but that will never be as iconic as the original.

Cyberdarks – The base three and Cyberdark Dragon should have got a little love and not have it all go to Cyber Dragon.

Allure Queen LV7 – Modern Allure Queen support will breathe new life into this line, so the boss in QCR would have been cool.

Vanity’s Fiend – We did get Majesty’s Fiend, but sadly the Vanity’s counterpart got skipped.

Chain Strike – When you think burn, Chain Burn probably comes to mind mostly due to this card.

Elemental HERO Electrum – The chase card from the second McDonald’s Pack for many I’m sure, so a QCR would have been nice.

The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh – More Kuriboh love is always nice.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon – We gave it to Geartown for Edison format, so the target you floated into would have been nice as well.

Crush Card Virus – How did one of the most broken Traps and SJC Prize Cards miss out on a QCR when the other Viruses got it?

Magical Stone Excavation – It does have past format applications for recovering your Spells.

Burial from a Different Dimension – Another card with past format applications, especially in Zombies to recover Mezuki.

Great Shogun Shien – Six Samurai’s first boss monster, and it was pretty good as well.

Advanced Ritual Art – Goes well with Demise from earlier.

Pulling the Rug – Yet more past format applications like Edison.

Elemental HERO Stratos (Alternate Art) – Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s still the best HERO ever printed, and the alternate art hasn’t been printed much.

Volcanic Rocket – Volcanics have been a decent strategy over the years.

The Other Crystal Beasts – Only to finish the rainbow and have all 7 main Crystal Beasts in QCR for Rainbow Dragon.

Volcanic Doomfire – Iconic boss monster for the Volcanic archetype, which many do love.

Volcanic Scattershot – If we are upgrading Volcanic cards, this doesn’t even have a foil despite being an iconic part of the strategy.

Gravekeeper’s Commandant – A QCR Commandant to search for a QCR Necrovalley.

Sky Scourge Norleras – The most playable of the Sky Scourges, a solid card in Edison format.

Blaze Accelerator – More Volcanic upgrades.

Elemental HERO Ocean – More HERO cards with actual past format application.

Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest – A great part of older Beast-type strategies.

Necro Gardna – Was great for years for negating attacks and saving games.

Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes – Fans do see this as a memorable card, and it is pretty cool.

Destiny HERO – Plasma – The most iconic of the Destiny HEROs, has seen play in past formats and in modern HERO, yet neither art got a QCR.

Magician of Black Chaos – Another iconic Yugi Ritual from when he defeated Pegasus.

Marshmallon – Similar to Spirit Reaper, and Yugi actually ran it in the anime.

Legacy of Yata-Garasu – Has recently seen a spike in use for Edison format, plus it’s a Trap with Yata on it.

Old Evil HEROs – One of the smaller HERO branches, but the Supreme King using them was certainly memorable.

Gladiator Beast Bestiari – We at least got Gyzarus, but sadly we missed out on the Fusion Material that was key in Gladiator Beasts.

Gladiator Beast Heraklinos – The only other good Fusion in past format Gladiator Beasts besides Gyzarus, plus he does make for a great boss monster.

Light-Imprisoning Mirror and Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror – Two of the earlier floodgates in the game that have seen use over the years against specific strategies.

Necroface – Many likely remember Necroface destroying their Decks.

Magic Formula – Mostly from how big of a collectible the GLAS Secret Rare is.

Phantom of Chaos – It was how we mostly resolved Noreleras.

Darklord Nurse Reficule – The other key part of Nurse Burn alongside Bad Reaction.

Dark Fusion and Dark Calling – If you run Evil HEROs, these are likely options you run to Fusion Summon.

Phantom Skyblaster – A good Token generator for when we got Link Monsters.

Grinder Golem – Speaking of Token generators for Links.

Dark Grepher – Armageddon Knight got a QCR, so Dark Grepher would have also been perfect.

Rainbow Dark Dragon – Mostly off being the evil counterpart to Rainbow Dragon.

Gigaplant – It’s one of the few good Geminis we ever got.

Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth – It was the key part to the Fish OTK, and other WATER strategies have ran it over the years.

Rainbow Neos – Already mentitoned the Neos Fusions, but wanted to double down for Rainbow Neos.

Gladiator Proving Ground – The searcher for the whole Gladiator Beast archetype also deserved it.

Goblin Zombie – A great part of the older Zombie strategies and still has modern use.

D.D.R. – Different Dimension Reincarnation – We never got many great Equip Spells, but this is for sure an exception for whatever can run it.

Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord – It’s another form to Exodia, who will always be iconic.

Arcana Force XXI – The World – We didn’t get many good Arcana Force cards, but players have tried to make The World work over and over.

Lightsworns – From Lumina, to Wulf, to Raiden, it’s unfourtunate in the lack of Lightsworn QCRs we got. Add Solar Recharge into this as well.

Destiny End Dragoon – It was cool to give Destiny HEROs a Fusion boss like this when they previously didn’t have any.

Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem – Similar to Destiny End Dragoon, but for Ancient Gears.

Mezuki – We did get Zombie upgrades, but the best Zombie card not getting it feels like a missed opportunity.

Junk Warrior (Original Art) – We at least got a cool alternate artwork, but it does sting the original got ignored.

Stardust Dragon (Alternate Art) – Same applies from Neos, except this was actually a playable card on release.

Magical Android – Besides Ally of Justice Catastor, it is the only other good Level 5 Synchro we had until we got Armades.

Thought Ruler Archfiend – Another strong Synchro from past formats for recovering life points.

Gladiator Beast War Chariot – It was big for Gladiator Beasts to get a card like this at the time.

Herald of Orange Light – Saw a ton of play, being the best of the three Herald hand traps.

Imperial Iron Wall – Can be a good floodgate or a good card against strategies trying to banish your stuff.

Tytannial, Princess of Camellias – If you needed a boss monster to summon off Lonefire Blossom, this was it.

Iron Chain Dragon – A decent Level 6 Synchro when you didn’t want to summon Brionac or Goyo, and it never got a reprint.

Doomkaiser Dragon and Revived King Ha Des – Both were good Synchros in Zombies to maximize the use of your Plaguespreader Zombie, especially Ha Des.

Black Garden – Has had applications over the years, especially after the Duelists of the Roses support for Black Rose.

Treacherous Trap Hole – Another good Trap Hole card that missed the QCR.

Neos Wiseman – A cool combination between Neos and Yubel from the anime.

Elemental HERO Divine Neos – Doubling down here as I did with Rainbow Neos.

Red-Eyes Wyvern – Strong card in past format Dragon strategies to go with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.

Gandora the Dragon of Destruction – Gandora hardly gets any love, especially considering Gigarays Gandora is still missing in the TCG.

Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode – The Assault Modes were a really cool gimmick.

Blackwing – Bora the Spear and Blackwing – Sirocco the Dawn – Two more of the first Blackwings that were great in the original variation of the Deck.

Black Salvo – A pretty solid Tuner monster that has Edison Format applications.

Dupe Frog – All the main Frogs got a QCR besides this one.

Dark Strike Fighter – It has history being the first banned Synchro ever, and for good reason considering how broken the pre-errata version was.

Arcanite Magician – It was a great Synchro for any strategy that was actually able to make it.

Totem Dragon – Another Dragon that was useful in the older Dragon variants.

Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode – It was the most playable of the Assault Mode monsters.

Summoner Monk – Was an insane card for summoning any Level 4 from the Deck back in the day.

Beast King Barbaros – It’s so odd we got Horn of the Phantom Beast, but not one of the main monsters we ever equipped it to.

Blackwing – Blizzard the Far North, Blackwing – Shura the Blue Flame, and Blackwing Armed Wing – Three more of the earlier Blackwing monsters that were outstanding in the Deck.

Earthbound Immortals – Mostly any of them would have worked alone, though the full set would be nice together.

Exploder Dragonwing – It was a good Level 7 Synchro for Dragon Decks considering we didn’t have many good generic options.

Trident Dragion – Another good Synchro in Dragon strategies, and it was useful to have in Tenpai Dragons.

Snowman Eater – This used to be the set monster you were scared to attack into in past formats.

Road Warrior – Was actually good in older Synchron Decks to get to Quasar and others.

XX-Saber Faultroll – We got most of the key X-Saber cards in QCR, but this feels like a big miss.

Ancient Sacred Wyvern – Another good Synchro that was locked to specific strategies.

Rekindling – One of the main ways we were actually able to summon Shooting Quasar Dragon back in the day.

Gaia Plate the Earth Giant – Edison gave this card a bit of life with Rock strategies.

Elemental HERO Attribute Fusions – We got Absolute Zero, but the others would have been cool, especially Gaia for Edison and The Shining in general.

Mist Wurm – The go-to Level 9 Synchro before we got Trishula.

Flamvell Uruquizas – Something else to add to the pool of past format Level 6 Synchro Monsters.

X-Saber Urbellum – A good Level 7 Synchro you could summon when you didn’t want Black Rose Dragon to nuke the field.

Level Eater – Good in Synchro Decks, broken when we got Link Monsters.

Djinn Releaser of Rituals – I still remember the lock with this card and Nekroz.

Majestic Star Dragon – Stardust Dragon’s first canonical anime upgrade.

Blackwing – Silverwind the Ascendant – For when we needed to use Vayu’s effect to banish Armor Master.

Black Brutdrago – Edison Format needs this to get reprinted for the Gemini Deck.

Appointer of the Red Lotus – The TCG might have banned this, but it was a modern-day Trap Dustshoot.

Dark Simorgh – Made for a powerful lock alongside Anti-Spell Fragrance.

Guardian Eatos – A memorable boss monster from the Duel Monsters anime.

Junk Archer – A good Level 7 you could make in past formats with Quickdraw Synchron.

Battle Fader – Was good in Frog Monarchs and other slower Decks to stall out the game.

Majestic Red Dragon – Similar to Majestic Star for Red Dragon Archfiend.

Cards of Consonance – Good draw power for Dragon strategies.

Fiendish Chain – A great card for taking care of problematic monsters before we got the whole Phantom Knights package.

Scrap Recycler – Good in some Machine strategies and was a potential starter for Orcust.

Hundred Eyes Dragon – Infernity used this to extend their very long combos in the Synchro variants.

XX-Saber Boggart Knight and XX-Saber Darksoul – TCG exclusives that helped make X-Sabers the strategy it was in 2010.

Spore – We got Glow-Up Bulb for Plant Synchro, but sadly no Spore.

Infernity Mirage, Infernity Doom Dragon, Infernity Launcher, and Infernity Barrier – Cogs in the Infernity machine, Mirage and Launcher got more bodies back out, Barrier was an omni-negate that was searchable to make it TCG viable, and Doom Dragon is the boss you can put out as the biggest body to back up Barrier.

Genex Controller and Genex Undine – A good engine for Atlantean Mermail before we got Neptabyss.

Darklord Superbia – One of the trio of YCS 2010 prize cards, but this was the only good one.

Junk Destroyer – A Level 8 Synchro for Synchrons that didn’t need 3 monsters to summon and acted as removal.

Synchron Explorer – Revived a Synchron to help you make your Synchro plays.

Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier – The face of degenerate loops and FTKs when it didn’t have the errata.

Scraps – Just got to pick some of the good cards like Beast, Chimera, Golem, Yard, etc. but this was a decent strategy on release.

Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste – Cover card of a highly memorable set and was a good Super Polymerization target.

Stygian Street Patrol – A combo extender for the Infernity Deck to get Archfiend out of hand.

Malefic Stardust Dragon – The best Malefic in stun strategies, especially for Gravekeeper’s to defend Necrovalley.

Temple of the Kings – Again, goes with the recent Odion support.

Swift Scarecrow – Another stall card, was ran in Dragon Ruler format.

Karakuris – Again, mostly pick the good ones, but this archetype was fairly solid for a couple of years to get no upgrades whatsoever.

Shooting Star Dragon – He got his own song when he was summoned in the sub, yet he couldn’t get a QCR in the TCG.

Red Nova Dragon – About as iconic as Shooting Star Dragon, which being the Starstrike Blast cover card meant this missed the Ghost Rare.

Tuning (Alternate Art) – Another sick alternate art that got printed in Prismatic Secret in the tins instead of QCR.

Medallion of the Ice Barrier – When Ice Barrier became good, either art would have made for a nice QCR.

Gravekeeper’s Recruiter – Gave new life to the Gravekeeper’s strategy when it released.

Psi-Blocker – Has had its formats to lock the opponent from certain cards.

Dragunities – Again, any of the good cards would work since this is a fan favorite, but we at least have Dragon Ravine, though no Romulus to match.

Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier – The ignored Ice Barrier Dragon despite being good in WATER strategies.

Worm Xex and Worm Yagan – The two most playable Worm monsters that actually made it a strategy.

The Aesirs – Similar to the Sacred Beasts, sad this trio didn’t get QCRs.

Divine Wind of Mist Valley – A Field Spell that can allow for some pretty strong combos.

Malefic Cyber End Dragon – The only other good Malefic monster to give slower Decks a strong boss monster to summon for free.

The Fabled Cerburrel – You can give it to several other Fableds, but this is one of the best ones.

Genex Ally Birdman (Alternate Art) – The new art was pretty cool, so stings it’s stuck in just Ultra Rare.

Naturia Exterio – A super strong Extra Deck monster if you can cheat it out via Cyber-Stein or Waking the Dragon.

T.G.s – The Synchro boss monsters or the ones good in T.G. Stun back in the day, or add on the modern support since it’s a beloved anime Deck.

Life Stream Dragon – The forgotten Signer Dragon cause we rather put all the focus on Power Tool Dragon.

Resonator Call – The searcher for Resonators, which has become a solid modern anime strategy.

W Nebula Meteorite – Helped make Worms a playable strategy.

Elemental HERO Neos Knight – The most memorable card from Bonds Beyond Time besides the Malefics.

Number 39: Utopia (The Other Two Arts) – Like Neos and Stardust Dragon, but doubly as bad since it has 2 alternate arts that got ignored.

Gachi Gachi Gantetsu – The only generic Rank 2 for a bit, and it was fairly solid.

Blood Mefist – A YCS Prize Card with no reprint after its run as the prize card.

Tiras, Keeper of Genesis and Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon – Two good Rank 5s we had to rely on until we got Volcasaurus.

Wind-Up Factory – We got most of the good Wind-Up cards, but this one was missing.

Snoww, Unlight of Dark World and The Gates of Dark World – The two really good Dark World cards we didn’t get upgrades, but at least we got Grapha.

Wind-Up Hunter – It was a 1-of, but it was also the reason we had the Wind-Up hand rip combo to begin with.

Wind-Up Kitten – Not as useful in Wind-Ups, but its a good Level 2 Beast.

Number 20: Giga-Brilliant – When you didn’t want to make Leviair, it was either Number 17 or this.

One Day of Peace – One of the best stall cards in the game.

Wind-Up Rabbit – Decent in Wind-Ups, but great in Chain Beat.

Gem-Armadillo – The searcher for the Gem-Knight archetype, which has been good over the years.

Gem-Knight Fusion – The alternate art wasn’t printed before the end of QCRs, but the original art would have been nice.

Gishki Aquamirror – Gishki’s main Ritual Spell, and they were fairly relevant.

Inzektor Centipede, Inzektor Giga-Mantis, and Inzektor Sword – Zektaliber – More of the main Inzektor cards getting upgraded would have went well with Hornet and Dragonfly.

Wind-Up Rat – One of the biggest Wind-Up cards to need a reprint for past formats.

Blade Armor Ninja – It was a good Rank 4 in Warrior strategies like HERO.

Number 96: Dark Mist – When you look for the most iconic anime Numbers, this has to be up there.

Wind-Up Arsenal Zenmaioh – One of the other good Rank 5s for back in the day.

Darkflare Dragon – We got Lightpulsar and Eclipse Wyvern, this would have just completed the 2012 Chaos Dragon strategy.

Meteor Black Dragon – It might be second place to Black Skull Dragon in terms of memorability, but it’s up there.

Masked HERO Acid – Possibly the second best Masked HERO we have.

Void Ogre Dragon – A manga boss for Infernity that’s actually pretty good.

Maestroke the Symphony Djinn – Another solid addition to the past format Rank 4 pool.

Hieratics – Especially Atum, but Hieratics were a really strong Dragon strategy.

Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon – The first big Xyz upgrade for Galaxy-Eyes.

Photon Strike Bounzer – A good Rank 6 when we didn’t have many of them in general.

Photon Papilloperative – Useful to do the Wind-Up Shock Lock, but also just a solid Rank 4 for its time.

Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger – Commonly thrown on top of many Rank 5 and Rank 6 monsters.

Number 7: Lucky Straight – A pretty humorous Number from the anime that has a fanbase.

Evigishki Gustkraken – The way you pulled off the Gishki handloop back in the day.

Number 6: Chronomaly Atlantis – The exact same logic that goes into Machu Mech.

Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord – The only other Elemental Lord to see play.

Number 8: Heraldic King Genom-Heritage – One of the boss monsters from a main Zexal villian.

Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings – Anime Number that was part of the modern Gimmick Puppet FTK.

Number 53: Heart-eartH – Just to go with Heart-eartH Dragon.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Tiger King – We got Bear and Tenki, which was cool, but it’s unfortunate to miss the main Xyz for the archetype.

Lightning Chidori – Has been useful for whenever a WIND Deck popped up that could actually use it.

Spellbook of the Master – Another of the key Spellbooks that would have been nice to have.

Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights – Getting Medraut, but not the Xyz felt strange.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Horse Prince, Spirit, and Rooster – Just to get the main pieces of the 3-Axis Fire Fist combo.

Galaxy Wizard – One of the better cards in the Galaxy Photon archetype to not get an upgrade.

Number 88: Gimmick Puppet of Leo – Good or not, he’s the big win condition for Gimmick Puppets.

Gishki Zielgigas – The boss Ritual for the Gishki archetype that still can have a role in the Deck.

Gem-Knight Seraphinite – Would have went well with Brilliant Fusion for Decks using it for the extra Normal Summon.

Constellar Ptolemy M7 – Would have been fun to slap this on top of a QCR Constellar Pleiades.

Evilswarm Ouroboros – It was cool we got Ophion, but Ouroboros would have been cool as well.

King of the Feral Imps – A nice upgrade for Reptile Decks, but at least it’ll finally have a foil in June.

Rank-Up-Magic Barian’s Force – Probably one of the most memorable of the Rank-Up-Magics.

Geargiagear – The only Geargia card to ever be hit on the F/L list since it was decent for making more Gear Gigant Xs.

Number 54: Lion Heart – A pretty cool Number monster from the cover of Number Hunters.

Mechquipped Angineer – Good Rank 3 monster legal for HAT format.

Norito the Moral Leader – Spellcaster Decks would use this if they could make it for a Rank 6 Spell/Trap negate.

Star Eater – The first Level 11 Synchro and it was actually pretty good.

Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory – A Rank-Up version of Utopia that’s missing a reprint and was a key card in Zexal.

Number 66: Master Key Beetle – Strong Rank 4 monster that DARK Decks could make.

Number 104: Masquerade – You can probably apply this to all the missing Number 10X monsters and their Number C counterparts without a QCR, especially with Seventh Tachyon now, but players would actually summon Masquerade.

Rank-Up-Magic Numeron Force – Another memorable Rank-Up-Magic to not get the upgrade.

Coach Soldier Wolfbark – Not a Fire Fist by name, but was a good card in the Deck.

Stardust Spark Dragon – Stardust Dragon retrain that’s a solid Level 8 Synchro in HAT format.

Mythic Tree Dragon and Mythic Water Dragon – Mostly from the fact that Mythic Dragon Rulers was a thing in 2014/2015.

Number C96: Dark Storm – Pretty cool, just like base Number 96.

Number 65: Djinn Buster – Solid Rank 2 that saw play in the Spright Deck.

Mount Sylvania – Field Spell that was key for Sylvans.

Shared Ride – Maxx “C” vs Decks that search a ton.

Cyber Dragon Nova – Just cause it would have been nice to slap a QCR Infinity on top of this at the bare minimum.

Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons – DARK Decks that could Synchro Summon this card likely would back in the day.

Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force – One of the best generic Rank-Up-Magics we got.

Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight (Alternate Art) – Considering how much love that DMG gets, I’m shocked they skipped the alternate artwork.

Artifact Scythe – The strongest Artifact we got, but at least we have Moralltach and Lancea.

Sylvan Sagequoia – Another boss monster for Sylvans that was easy to summon.

Traptrix Dionaea – Dionaea would have matched nicely with Myrmelo.

Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion – Mostly from it being a target off Crystron Halqifibrax and Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon.

Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon – We get two arts of Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon but not one of his main Xyz upgrades.

Number C107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon – Another one of the cooler Number C10X monsters.

Satellarknight Altair – Altair and Deneb go togehter except in QCR I guess.

Shaddoll Beast – Dragon was a fine choice, but Beast is just the better card.

The Monarchs Stormforth – They got almost everything that made the 2016 Monarch Deck as good as it was.

Hot Red Dragon Archfiend – Red Dragon Archfiend retrain that was also pretty solid in past formats.

Ebon Illusion Magician – We’ll probably never get Magi Magi, but Ebon Illusion Magician would have made a nice QCR.

Apoqliphort Towers – Not scary anymore, but Scout and Saqlifice getting the upgrades didn’t feel complete without this.

Denko Sekka – You hated seeing this Normal Summoned when you set some backrow.

El Shaddoll Shekhinaga – The only other classic Shadoll Fusion I think deserved it.

Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing – Another good Synchro for Yang Zing, Swordsoul, and doing Mare Mare combos.

Elemental HERO Shadow Mist – A key Elemental HERO name for the Deck that’s needing a reprint.

Ritual Beast Ulti-Cannahawk – Could QCR more cards in the Deck besides Elder and the new Lara, but Ulti-Cannahawk is one of their best cards and neither art got a QCR.

Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon – Its release was what got the Dragon Rulers banned with extreme swiftness before Dark Matter Rulers took over the TCG.

Chicken Game – Field Spell that increased consistency of some degenerate strategies.

Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn – Already mentioned Lightsworns, but got to double down for Minerva.

Hi-Speedroid Chanbara – A good generic Level 5 Synchro that helps OTKing.

Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Bane – Helps get your Red Dragon Archfiend boss monsters back on the field.

Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal – One of the best cards in Burning Abyss and a strong Rank 6 before or after Fiendsmith.

Blackwing – Gofu the Vague Shadow – It was a good card on release that became broken with Links.

Magician’s Rod – Main searcher for your Dark Magician-related backrow.

Metalfoes – Electrumite doesn’t count too much since it’s generic for Pendulums, so more Metalfoes QCRs for that format would have been nice.

Dark Magical Circle – Key card in Dark Magician for removal.

Ties of the Brethren – One of the cooler cards to come from the DM anime after several years to add to certain Decks.

Crystron Citree – They picked the wrong old Crystron Tuner to make QCR.

Starving Venom Fusion Dragon (Alternate Art) – Got to finish the Dimension Dragons in their alternate artworks.

Meteor Black Comet Dragon – Meteor Black Dragon retrain that sees play in more burn-oriented versions of Red-Eyes.

Crystron Sulfenir – One of the best combo pieces for the Crystron Deck.

Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon – What if Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon was cooler?

Zoodiac Broadbull and Zoodiac Drident – Ratpier was fine, but Broadbull and Drident were more broken, and Drident saw play in two different eras of the Deck.

Zoodiac Boarbow – Just because it was how Zoodiac was always going into ZEUS.

Foolish Burial Goods – It’s been a very good card for getting Spells and Traps into the graveyard.

Invocation (Alternate Art) – Same here.

Vision HERO Vyon – Key combo piece in the HERO strategy.

Elemental HERO Honest Neos – I’m just shocked Konami would skip on a card like this.

Lost World – A really good Field Spell for Dinosaurs to help get their plays off.

Gladiator Beast Tamer Editor – Strong modern Gladiator Beast support to make the end board super strong.

Double Evolution Pill – One of the most key Dinosaur cards to not get the QCR.

Trickstars – A case where we get one card, Light Stage, but could have got more for a once competitve anime strategy.

Gouki – Another anime strategy that was once competitve for summoning a bunch of Links.

Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom – Was strong in Pendulums for a Lyrilusc FTK or to just copy Electrumite.

Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing – Wipes the opponent’s monsters if you played it in Pendulum.

Firewall Dragon (Other Two Arts) – The last anime ace to apply this to, especially considering this was the most broken of the six.

Topologic Bomber Dragon – One of the early great Link-4s we had.

Spellbook of Knowledge – The most modern Spellbook we got, which saw a bit of play when released.

Heavy Storm Duster – Solid form of backrow removal from time to time, especially in Trap Decks.

Cyberdarkness Dragon – Cool upgraded form of the original Cyberdark Dragon.

Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon – Useful piece for Cyber Dragons to out monsters in the Extra Monster Zone.

Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon – Pretty good card in the pure Odd-Eyes Deck.

Altergeists – Another addition of meta anime Decks, especially since the only QCR in this archetype I believe was their new Link-4.

Fire King Avatar Arvata – Great in the modern Fire King strategy to get some monster negation.

Amano-lwato – One of the best stun cards we were ever given.

Destrudo the Lost Dragons’ Frisson – One of the best generic Tuners in the game to make an easy Level 7 Synchro.

Borreload Dragon (Original Art) – So odd the alternate art was chosen when the original is more memorable.

Quick Launch – Key part of Dragon Link to get to the Rokket part of the Deck.

Metaverse – Another way to search Field Spells in strategies where they are highly important.

Lunalight Kaliedo Chick – One of the best cards in the Lunalight Deck.

Lyrilusc – Recital Starling – Good Rank 1 in Lyrilusc and for anything wanting to search for D.D. Crow in general.

Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir – I don’t understand how one of the best Rank 4s in the game didn’t get a QCR.

SPYRAL Double Helix – The piece that made SPYRAL a Tier 0 strategy.

Tri-Gate Wizard – Insane card in Decks that would co-link a lot just to set this up with negation and removal capabilities.

Secret Six Samurai – Fuma – Decent in Six Samurai mostly for being a Level 1 Tuner for the Deck.

Magical Muskets – Wasn’t what it was initially hyped to be, but has been a decent Deck from time to time, especially with their Link-1.

Eva – A very impactful card for Fairies when mixed with other Ritual strategies like Drytron.

Mekk-Knights – We got Crusadia Avramax and Girsu, but I can only really count Girsu and Mekk-Knights were fairly solid.

Secure Gardna – Has seen some play with Dogmatika and Invoked to get a Link into the graveyard and a LIGHT into circulation.

Triple Burst Dragon – Pretty good Link-3 from when Dragon Link was relevant.

Saryuja Skull Dread – A great Link-4, there was a time where players wanted this to get hit on the F/L list.

Boot Sector Launch – When you see Striker Dragon summoned, a lot of times it’ll actually search for this.

There Can Be Only One – Gonna be rough when we can never match this with Rivalry of Warlords and Gozen Match.

Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion – Another Lightsworn card I feel I should double down on since it was also ran generically.

Gem-Knight Phantom Quartz – Breathed new life into Gem-Knights and made the FTK very viable.

Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights – If we were going to get a singular Noble Knight card in QCR, it should have been this over Medraut.

Qliphort Genius – Been a solid Link-2 for Machine Decks.

Ritual Beast Ulti-Kimunfalcos – The first Link for Ritual Beasts and it helps a ton for combos.

Millennium-Eyes Restrict – Salt in the wound of no Thousand-Eyes Restrict is that this also missed out.

Armed Dragon Catapult Cannon – Just honestly a pretty neat boss for mixing all of Chazz’s strategies.

Ancient Gear Frame – Pretty useful card for Ancient Gears to get to your Ancient Gear Golem cards.

Ancient Gear Fusion – Useful Fusion Spell in the Ancient Gear Deck.

Rainbow Overdragon – A pretty cool upgrade to the original Rainbow Dragon.

Rainbow Bridge – Important in Crystal Beasts to get to their backrow.

Crystal Bond – Just for the artwork alone, but this is also very good in Crystal Beasts.

Lilith, Lady of Lament – One of the best cards to come from the Lair of Darkness strategy.

Darkest Diabolos, Lord of the Lair – Had a place in and out of the Lair of Darkness strategy.

Lair of Darkness – It might have flopped, but it is still a good card that people will try to make work to this day.

Summon Sorceress – A very impactful Link Monster on release and we are currently missing an errata for it.

Batteryman Solar – Batterymen are a fan favorite enough to where upgrading the archetype could be justified, but this was also good in Thunder Dragons.

Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion (Alternate Art) – It’s insane to think we got every Ghost Girl in all of their artworks except for the alternate art of Ghost Belle.

Knightmares – Phoenix and Unicorn are the best two for being the most generic to use and haven’t been banned, but the entire Link line-up for this archetype deserved it, and you can add Knightmare Corruptor Iblee in there too.

Vampire Sucker – Link Monster you’ll almost always see going up against Zombies.

World Legacy Succession – Basically a watered down Monster Reborn that’s good if you run Links.

Red Reboot – TCG might keep this locked up, deservedly so, but it was impactful when it was around.

F.A. Dawn Dragister – The best thing F.A. gave us was this as a great generic Level 7 Synchro.

Inzektor Picofalena – A mainstay in Insect Decks since release.

Madolche Fresh Sistart – Might not be the most powerful Link an archetype can get, but it’s still very useful in Madolche.

Sky Striker Ace – Kagari – Out of all the Sky Striker upgrades we got, it’s crazy that their best Link Monster wasn’t given a QCR at all.

Sky Striker Mecha – Hornet Drones – Sky Striker was all over the place with this at 3, and it’s still key in the Deck itself.

Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor – Would have been nice for the archetype’s best disruption piece to get the upgrade.

Golden Castle of Stromberg – Was pretty memorable from the anime and there was a bit of buzz when it got actually printed.

Cyber Emergency – Cyber Dragons deserved to have their main searcher upgraded.

Number 75: Bamboozing Gossip Shadow – A good Rank 3 monster that also got Number 86 banned to begin with.

Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord – Would be fun to have summoned this next to QCR Number 38 as well.

Topologic Gumblar Dragon – An insanely broken Link that wasn’t legal for long, but was very memorable when it was.

Transcode Talker – Might be a Starter Deck card, but it’s also pretty good in Cyberse Decks.

Crusadias – One of the better archetypes from the World Legacy lore since it did see some meta play.

Borrelsword Dragon – Mostly the original artwork, but this was one of the best Link-4s in the game for OTKing the opponent before we got Accesscode Talker.

Cyber Dragon Sieger – A good Link Monster in the Cyber Dragon Deck to accelerate OTKs.

Sky Striker Ace – Hayate (Original Art) – Weird we got both of Shizuku’s arts in Bonanza, but Hayate only gets her alt art in Stampede.

Divine Serpent Geh – The final boss monster in one of the more memorable arcs of the Duel Monsers anime.

Lady Debug – A good searcher for all the Level 3 or lower Cyberse monsters.

Shooting Riser Dragon – Baby Shooting Star Dragon that actually makes for a good Synchro Tuner.

Valkyries – A memorable anime Deck that took years to get imported into the physical game.

Outer Entity Azathot – A broken Xyz Monster whether summoned on your turn or the opponent’s.

Martial Metal Marcher – Was a good Synchro Tuner when we were doing Halqifibrax combos.

Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon – Just cool as a smaller version of Chaos MAX Dragon.

Cyberload Fusion – A solid Fusion Spell for Cyber Dragons that isn’t Power Bond.

Blackwing Full Armor Master – Weird not to get the big new boss monster for Blackwings upgraded when we got Simoon.

Starliege Photon Blast Dragon – Saw a rise in play with Ryzeal, but also a fine card in Galaxy Photon.

Photon Orbital – Why did we get Orbital 7 upgraded when this is right here?

The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche – We got a few Phantom Knights upgrades, but somehow this wasn’t one of them.

Orcust Cymbal Skeleton – Probably one of the most important Orcusts not to get the upgrade.

Impcantations – Solid Ritual support for the strategies that need it.

Chaos Dragon Levianeer – Amazing card for Chaos and Dragon strategies alike, but neither art was upgraded.

Thunder Dragon Titan – You can lump the other Thunder Dragons not named Colossus or Dragondark here too, but Titan deserved it most as a boss in the archetype.

Salamangreat Heatleo – Either art works, but idk why this wasn’t at least the one chosen for the tins instead of Blaze Dragon?

Galaxy-Eyes Solflare Dragon – A good Link Monster that was dedicated to Galaxy Photon, especially when they needed one.

Longirsu, the Orcust Automaton – Just be nice to have this alongside QCR Galatea since they’re both the two good Orcust Links we currently have.

Salamangreat Sanctuary – It might not be maxed out on in the Deck, but it’s their most important card arguably.

Heritage of the Chalice – Important searcher for Noble Knights, especially when we got the Infernoble Knights.

D/D/D Flame High King Genghis – Another important combo piece for D/Ds.

Frightfur Patchwork – How do we get the brick in Edge Imp Chain, but not the card we actually want to draw?

Doomking Balerdroch – Great modern boss monster for all the Zombie Decks out there.

Necroworld Banshee – Another great Zombie card for getting you to Zombie World.

Prank-Kids – Most of the archetype on the merits of how strong it was when we got their Link-1.

Harpie Perfumer – It’s really good as a modern Harpie monster.

Garden Rose Maiden – Solid Synchro for some combos and a pretty artwork overall.

Red Rose Dragon – A solid Tuner to pull off some interesting Plant/Dragon combos.

Super Express Bullet Train – A very good extender in Rank 10 Trains and EARTH Machine.

Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede – We got an alternate artwork we didn’t get when we got Liebe’s, but even the original artwork would have been fine.

Urgent Schedule – One of the best cards we got for EARTH Machine strategies.

Lunalight Yellow Marten – Was insane when Lunalight was a Rank 4 spam strategy, but also really good for the actual Lunalight playstyle.

Neo Space Connector – Was a very good card for making Isolde in Warrior Decks, plus it’s actual good Neos support.

Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay (Original Art) – I just think this was one of the cards that got an alternate art before Konami started making really good ones, the original art deserves a high rarity too.

Orcust Knightmare – Another one of the important pieces in Orcust not to get an upgrade.

Madolche Petingcessoeur – We got most of the good Madolche cards upgraded, but this one missed.

Update Jammer – Key part to pulling off Accesscode Talker OTKs.

Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf – One of Salamangreat’s most important cards in TOSS format, but no QCR for it.

Guardragon Links – Their Main Deck is nothing to write home about, but their Links were some of the most powerful Dragon cards we ever got.

Sky Striker Ace – Kaina – Mostly just to finish off the Sky Striker Link lineup.

Neos Fusion – Another good card for Neos, plus it summons Rainbow Neos without having to draw the materials.

Witch’s Strike – Not the most powerful Trap in the world, but it’s seen niche play over the years.

Subterror Guru – The heart and soul of Guru control.

Red Rising Dragon – One of the best Synchros in the Red Dragon Archfiend strategy to pull off your combos.

Salamangreat Miragestallio – Another reason Blaze Phoenix was an odd choice is that this is the actual good Salamangreat Xyz.

Salamangreat Balelynx – Another one of the important Links for the Salamangreat strategy.

Infinitracks – Just a bunch of good cards in this archetype to support EARTH Machine.

Witchcrafters – It’s bound to get better as we get more Magistus lore, right?

Evil Eyes – It’s been a decent rogue strategy after the Photon Hypernova support.

Magician of Chaos – A nice little retrain of Magician of Black Chaos.

Bond Between Teacher and Student – Related to both Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl and is better than Dark Burning Attack and Dark Burning Magic.

Cyber Dragon Nachster – It is a very nice piece of Cyber Dragon support.

Security Dragon – It’s been a solid generic Link-2 in a couple of strategies.

Beat Cop from the Underworld – Related to Tour Guide and has seen actual meta play.

Platinum Gadget – Another good Link Monster to run in Machines.

Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic – A boss monster that actually helped revive the Spell Counter strategy.

Servant of Endymion – The best Endymion card we were given.

Spell Power Mastery – Good for searching for your Servant of Endymion.

Madolche Teacher Glassouffle – Is an amazing card in Madolche for giving them an actual turn 1 play.

World Gears of Theurlogical Demiurgy – Might not see play in a lot of Decks, but those that can summon it can easily make use of the card.

World Legacy Monstrosity – Just a great card in anything using Level 9 monsters.

Orcust Crescendo – Omni-negate and searcher for the Orcust archetype.

Crackdown – It’s been a really good card in stun for a while.

Muddy Mudragon – A fun Synchro for certain Decks to access otherwise inaccessible Fusions.

Mermail Abyssalacia – Just one of the few Mermails missing to have the entire Deck in QCR.

Darkness Metal, the Dragon of Dark Steel – Link retrain of REDMD that sees a bit of play in some Dragon Decks for combos.

Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment – It’s useful to clear monsters off the board, but it’s effects can actually be useful.

Judgment, the Dragon of Heaven – If I’m going to do all these Dragon retrains, I got to include this one.

Dark Armed, the Dragon of Annilihation – Probably the best of these Dragon retrains since it’s a great generic Rank 7.

Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon – Rounds out the retrained Dragons, plus this one saw play and was a prize card.

Vision HERO Increase – Important piece of the Vision HERO package if you play HERO.

Number 97: Draglubion – We did get an upgrade to Number 100, but not the monster to enable the OTK for it.

Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake – It’s a decent Level 8 Synchro for Speedroids to go into.

Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Chaos – It was given an Ultimate Rare and Pharaoh’s Rare, so it’s shocking it didn’t get a QCR.

Harpie Conductor – Good Link Monster for Harpies.

Double Headed Anger Knuckle – More EARTH Machine goodness.

Hi-Speedroid Rubber Band Shooter – Very important combo piece in Speedroids.

PSY-Framelord Lambda – Helps make the PSY-Frames even more generic to use.

Gimmick Puppet Chimera Doll – Extremely important card to do the Gimmick Puppet FTK.

Salamangreat Almiraj – One of the best generic Link-1s to get a monster into the graveyard.

Marincesses – A bunch of cards would be good candidates since this has been a decent Cyberse strategy over the years.

Tenyis – Great Wyrm support, but only the new stuff was upgraded.

Gizmek Orochi, the Serpentron Sky Slasher – The most playable of the Gizmek monsters.

Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess (Original Art) – The alt art is better for sure, but I don’t think the original should be completely ignored.

Number 29: Mannequin Cat – A very good Rank 2 monster to summon floodgates from your Deck.

Kikinagashi Fucho – Rank 1 that helps keep you in the game.

Dragunity Knight – Romulus – I did mention Dragunitites, but I should mention this for how good it is for Dragons.

Rokket Tracer – The best piece in the Dragon Link strategy.

Topologic Zeroboros – It is a good Link-4 in some Decks that can use it to clear the field on the opponent’s turn.

Borreload Furious Dragon – Super Poly target and anything that uses DARK Dragons can summon the card.

Micro Coder – One of the better cards if you are running Code Talkers.

Evil HERO Malicious Bane – The Adusted Gold upgrade was nice, but it’d be better if this went with it.

Predaplant Triphyoverutum – Might not have completely overtook Starving Venom as a Super Poly target, but it’s still good in Predaplants.

Unchained – Yama, Rage, and Prison did get the upgrades in Duelist Nexus and Rarity Collection 2, but there’s more in the archetype that would have looked nice.

Starliege Seyfert – Good piece of Dragon support.

Gladiator Beast Domitianus – The best modern boss monster in Gladiator Beasts you can cheat out with Tamer Editor.

Gallant Granite – Rank 4 to search all of your Rocks like Adamancipators and Nibiru.

Firewall Dragon Darkfluid – Big boss monster upgrade to the orignal Firewall Dragon.

Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix – The big boss monster in Salamangreat that finds modern use due to Code of Soul.

Test Panther – The best of the 3 Links for Gladiator Beasts.

The World Legacy – I’m just biased here cause this is one of my favorite artworks in the game.

Mathmechs – Would have been fitting in Stampede after Circular came back.

Kitchen Dragonmaid and Parlor Dragonmaid – Some 1-card combo starters once we get the new Dragonmaids.

Generaiders – It’s what keeps Level 9 and Rank 9 monsters relevant.

Elemental HERO Sunrise – It’s good for HERO and it gave use to running Miracle Fusion once again.

Elemental HERO Liquid Soldier – Another solid piece of HERO support to give a better WATER to use for Absolute Zero.

Satellite Warrior – It’s decent when you can summon it on the opponent’s turn.

Zubababancho Gagagacoat and Dodododwarf Gogogoglove – Why weren’t these two chosen over Gagaga Magician and Gogogo Golem? They’ll actually see play in the Utopia Deck when it gets the new support.

@Ignisters – The new support will have a few QCRs, but some of the old cards would have looked nice.

Cross-Sheep – A near staple Link in anything using Fusion Monsters.

Gravity Controller – Another good Link-1 at just getting monsters into your graveyard.

Plunder Patrolls – It’s one of the better TCG exclusive archetypes we got after the era of Burning Abyss, Kozmo, and SPYRAL.

Linguriboh – Could technically fall in the @Ignister category, but it’s another version of Linkuriboh and it sees play in Cyberse Decks.

Reeshaddoll Wendi – One of the best cards Shaddoll got in the 2020 Structure Deck.

El Shaddoll Apkallone – The newest Fusion for the archetype and it’s actually good whether in the Deck or just to search Schism and summon Winda.

Crystron Halqifibrax – One of the most broken Link Monsters we were ever given, getting multiple Tuners banned before he took the axe himself.

D/D/D Abyss King Gilgamesh – Actually lured D/D/D to be ran more pure and lean away from the generic end board bosses.

Raidraptor – Wise Strix – Great for Winged Beasts in general, but especially for Raidraptors.

Union Carrier – I’ll never understand why it wasn’t specifically Union support, but it did do some broken things when legal.

Ancient Gear Ballista – Use it EARTH Machine to search for Box or in actual Ancient Gears to get a combo piece.

Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty – Very strong Link when it could summon Barrier Stature, would probably be summoning Apex Avian if it wasn’t banned.

Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon – Allowed for some even more insane Synchro combos when combined with Halqifibrax.

Artifact Dagda – Was better when Scythe was legal, but still great sometimes for getting to Lancea.

Predaplant Verte Anaconda – Remember when this constantly summoned Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon or Destiny HERO – Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer?

Lib the World Key Blademaster – Solid for doing World Legacy combos.

Sky Striker Ace – Zeke – The archetype’s first of a few Link-2s, and it still sees play in the Deck.

Speedroid Marble Machine – Another good searcher for Speedroids to start combo, still a staple even with Terrortop at 3.

Adamancipators – Don’t think this archetype got anything despitie single handedly making Rocks relevant and having a good Synchro for WATER with Risen – Dragite.

Rikkas – Weren’t appreciated at the time, but Power of the Elements support made this an actual strong archetype.

Cursed Eldland, Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine, and Conquistador of the Golden Land – A few of the best cards in the Eldlich archetype that would have blinged the Deck out even more.

Machina Citadel – Very good Machina boss monster to make EARTH Machine a real strategy.

Deep Sea Minstrel – Would have been another nice QCR to bling out Mermail Atlantean even more.

Buzzsaw Shark – One of the best cards in the Shark Deck for making your Xyzs.

Animadorned Archosaur – Another one of the few remaining Dinos not to get the upgrade.

Invoked Augodies – Another good addition to the Invoked lineup when we got it.

Dragonmaid Sheou – We got both arts of House thankfully, but where was the boss monster?

Linkross – Shortlived, but insane when we had it.

Gravedigger’s Trap Hole – Easily the best Trap Hole we got in recent times.

Machina Metalcruncher – A pretty good searcher to add to EARTH Machine.

Toon Bookmark and Toon Page-Flip – Both were great cards to add to the Toon Deck.

The Chaos Creator – Big new Chaos boss monster that actually saw play to combo.

Infernoble Knights – They got a few with the Duelist Nexus support, but some of the old cards deserved upgrades too.

Immortal Phoenix Gearfried – Powerful boss monster in any Warrior strategy using Equip Spells.

Numeron Network – Numeron OTK is still somewhat legit, and this was insane when Utopic ZEXAL was legal.

Number 3: Cicada King – The first fake Number we were given, and it is a great Rank 3 monster.

The Gaia Deck – Getting all the modern support upgraded would have been cool since this is a Yugi Deck.

Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted and Dogmatika Maximus – Ecclesia is nice, but where were the other two good Dogmatika monsters?

Titaniklad the Ash Dragon – The first Albaz Fusion we were ever given and it’s good to send from Extra Deck to grave to get your Dogmatika monsters.

Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon – If only we knew how broken this card was when it was released.

Drill Driver Vespenato – A nice card in Zoodiac when they were meta again in 2020-2021.

Ancient Warriors Oath – Double Dragon Lords – The rest of the archetype would be cool, but this also saw play in Tri-Brigade.

Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon – A good Odd-Eyes card to search for all your Dragon Pendulums.

Raidraptor – Arsenal Falcon – Important piece in Raidraptor for continuing combos and adding a boss monster to the end board.

Superheavy Samurai Scarecrow – Ended up being an amazing card when we got the 2023 support.

Destined Rivals – Just shocked Konami didn’t go for the card with Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon on it.

Cyber Slash Harpie Lady – Synchro for Harpie Ladies that can actually be somewhat good generically.

Jinzo – Layered – Solid Rank 6 monster, and it’s Jinzo.

Ancient Chant – Weird this was chosen to get a Collector’s Rare over a QCR.

Blaze Cannon – But I guess looking at this, we should be thankful Ancient Chant got an upgrade.

Raider’s Wing – Another very good card for Raidraptors.

The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales – I do wonder if the Starlight is why they didn’t give this Phantom Knight a QCR with some of the rest?

Tri-Brigades – Revolt being the only QCR for this archetype is extremely odd.

Virtual Worlds – Good archetype as the breaking point to finally gettitng Calamities banned.

Armityle the Chaos Phantasm – Phantom of Fury – Retrain of the original Armityle that would have went nicely with the original we didn’t get either.

Raider’s Knight and Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon – A great combination of cards to just OTK the opponent.

Geonator Transverser – Cause it’s always fun to put Creature Swap on a Link.

Zoroa, the Magistus of Flames and Rillona, the Magistus of Verre – Both will be super relevant once we get the missing Magistus support.

Evil★Twin Ki-sikil and Evil★Twin Lil-la – Crazy how during this campaign that we didn’t get either alternate artwork imported, but even the originals would have been fine to go with the base Twins.

Secret Password – It’s hilarious that this was only in Stampede to take up the low rarity slots Magia didn’t take.

Drytrons – Having the two main Spells is nice, but where are the monsters?

Armed Dragon Thunders – It’s a fun modern way to play Armed Dragons if you want.

Live☆Twin Lil-la Treat and Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost – Be fun if the extenders for the archetype went with the main twins.

Sacred Tree Beast, Hyperyton – Just a good card for Plants, even if it’s because you cheat it out with Rikka Queen Strenna.

Angel Statue – Azurune – Finally seeing play thanks to Silhouhatte Rabbit.

Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier – It’s a really cool “upgraded form” to the original Trishula that actually sees play.

Hieratic Sky Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis – A fairly solid Rank 8 to protect you from targeting.

Galaxy-Eyes Cipher X Dragon – Yet anotther Galaxy-Eyes that’s fine to slap on top of other monsters.

Sunseed Genus Loci and Sunavalon Dryas – Two great cards for the Plant Deck.

Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX – Extremely cool T.G. retrain for Shooting Star Dragon.

Red Supernova Dragon – Pretty good Level 12 Synchro target for Crimson Dragon, or in Red Dragon Archfiend.

Ogdoadics – The best part of Ancient Guardians and pretty relevant for the future of Reptiles.

Albion the Branded Dragon – One of the best Fusions for the Branded strategy.

Mysterion the Dragon Crown – Solid Fusion that’ll be decent when we get Dragontail.

Ruddy Rose Dragon – Upgraded form of Black Rose Dragon that actually sees play.

Benghalancer the Resurgent – Really good boss monster for Plants.

Sunavalon Melias – More extension for the Plant strategy using Sunavalons.

New Poker Knights – Another Yugi Deck that could have been cool to upgrade.

Beetroopers – Some really good Insect support in this archetype.

Stardust Synchron – The only good Level 4 Synchron we were ever given.

Albion the Shrouded Dragon – Very good card to play in Branded.

Despian Quaeritis – The more playable Despia Fusion you see ran in Branded.

Shooting Majestic Star Dragon – Retrain for the old Majestic Dragon stuff that actually made for a solid boss monster.

Chronomaly Vimana – Great Rank 5 monster to have for K9.

Voloferniges, the Darkest Dragon Doomrider – Rank 7 monster that’s useful, especially with Dragons.

Live☆Twin Sunny’s Snitch – Searcher you need to play Live Twins.

True Light – This upgrade would have been perfect when we got the Blue-Eyes Structure Deck.

Cyberdark Chimera, Cybernetic Horizon, and Cyberdark Realm – Great support for Cyber Dragons and Cyberdarks alike.

Cyberdark End Dragon – Sick boss monster to combine Cyber Dragons and Cyberdarks.

Hi-Speedroid Cork Shooter – Great Synchro Tuner addition to the Speedroid archetype.

Swordsouls – Shocked we got nothing here when this one one of the better archetypes from the Branded lore, I don’t really count The Iris Swordsoul for this Deck.

Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous (Original Art) – The alternate art is really good for this card, but the original art would have been fine to upgrade as well.

Floowandereeze – Still a pretty solid rogue Deck to this day, even without Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds.

Machina Ruinforce – What if Machina Force was actutally a playable card.

Destiny HERO – Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer – One of the craziest misses I’ve noticed considering how much Konami loves bumping HERO cards.

Zoroa, the Magistus Conflagrant Calamity – Great boss monster for Magistus that’s relevant with the new support.

Cupid Pitch – A solid little Synchro Tuner for combos.

Evil★Twin’s Trouble Sunny – So neither the small Links or the big one gets the upgrade.

Branded in High Spirits and Branded in Red – Two fairly strong additions to the Branded Deck.

Abyss Keeper – Pretty good Link for your generic Fish goodstuff.

Number C1000: Numerounius and Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia – These two really shouldn’t be locked behind Gold Rares that peel apart.

The Kuriboh Brothers – It was cute we finally got these little guys in 2021.

Piri Reis Map – Great card to search for your 0 ATK monsters.

Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray – The better Utopia Ray Rank-Up we got, making ZWs very good.

Number 4: Stealth Kragen – Probably the best WATER Rank 4 we still have legal.

Number 99: Utopia Dragonar – Powerful card to cheat out your Number monsters.

Ukiyoe-P.U.N.K. Amazing Dragon – We got a few P.U.N.K. upgrades, but it’s weird the boss monster wasn’t one of them.

Exosister Mikailis – More Exosister upgrades would have been cool, but this is the most noteworthy one not to be upgraded.

Timaeus the United Dragon – It’s an actual monster form of the Dragon Timaeus and it’s solid in Dark Magician.

Dinomorphias – It’s an actually solid Trap Deck.

Master of Chaos – Not a great card, but it’s cool as a Fusion of Dark Magician and Black Luster Soldier.

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon – Without a doubt the best Fusion for Blue-Eyes.

D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex – Great new boss monster for the D/D archetype.

The Zombie Vampire – Saw a lot more play once we got the Horus archetype.

Onibimaru Soul Sweeper – Solid Rank 2 monster that saw play when we got Spright.

Pile Armed Dragon – Another really good card for if you want to play modern Armed Dragons.

Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon – Odd the best Albaz Fusion didn’t get this to match when we got Lubellion.

Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon – It was a third good Crystal Beast name we were lacking for years.

Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon Overlord – A pretty solid retrain to the original for multiple attacks and ZEUS material.

Masterflare Hyperion – Retrain of Master Hyperion that’s great for the new Agent support.

Therion “King” Regulus – Some of the other Therions would have been fine too, but this is the best one.

Visas Starfrost – Main character of his lore, so no QCR feels odd.

Scareclaws – The first of the Visas archetypes and it’s a pretty solid Deck and engine for Mannadium.

Odd-Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon – Decent Ritual to run in Voiceless Voice.

Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon – Fallen of Albaz actually gave us a Chimeratech Fortress Dragon for Dragons.

Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon – Big new retrain of Starving Venom that’s solid in Predaplants.

Predaplant Ambulomelides – Basically a custom card for Predaplants.

Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon Lord, Skeletal Dragon Felgrand, and Immortal Dragon – Some good modern Synchros for Zombies.

Beyond the Pendulum – A QCR would have made up for this not getting a Starlight Rare.

Sylvan Dancepione – More really good generic Plant support.

N.As.H Knight and CXyz N.As.Ch Knight – Solid cards that will get better with the release of K9.

Harpie’s Pet Dragon – Fearsome Fire Blast – Retrain to the original Dragon that the Harpie archetype really needed.

Spright Blue, Spright Jet, Spright Elf, and Spright Starter – Some of the best Spright cards in the archetype, but they weren’t the ones upgraded.

Tearlaments – Has become a fan favorite from the Visas lore and from its time as Tier 0, but nothing getting upgraded here feels unfourtunate.

Vernusylphs – These are pretty good support for EARTH Decks in general, especially EARTH Fairies.

Exosister Martha – Another key Exosister to not get the QCR, but at least this one already had the Starlight.

Kurikara Divincarnate – Card has seen some play, it felt like what would have been an obvious QCR choice.

Aussa the Earth Channeler – This is just to match the other three since they actually have QCRs.

Elemental HERO Shining Neos Wingman – A Fusion of both Neos and Shining Flare Wingman felt like a very obvious choice.

P.U.N.K. JAM Dragon Drive – Another key card for the P.U.N.K. archetype.

Ashura King – Might not have been great on release, but improved when we got Goblin Bikers.

Instant Contact – Air Neos’s wing in this art could have been the closest we were going to get to an actual Air Neos QCR.

Pitknight Earlie – Somewhat decent Link-2 when Spright was on top.

Power Tool Braver Dragon – Upgraded Power Tool Dragon that’s decent if you run Equip Spells.

Arianna the Labrynth Servant – The best Labrynth not to get upgraded, you can also add the furniture to this as well.

Runick Tip and Hugin the Runick Wings – Two key cards for Runick that didn’t get an upgrade with Fountain.

Rainbow Bridge of Salvation – People will run this and a Crystal Beast just to get it in grave and search a Field Spell.

The Revived Sky God, The Breaking Ruin God, and The True Sun God – More God Card support you’d think Konami would have given upgrades to.

Awakening of the Crystal Ultimates – Cool artwork and great Crystal Beast card.

Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive – An even better Fusion upgrade for Rainbow Dragon.

Rainbow Bridge of the Heart – Searcher and removal for Crystal Beasts.

DABL Blackwings – Most of what you see when you go up against modern Blackwings.

Bystials – We did get Lubellion, but the smaller Bystials not getting QCRS feels like a massive miss.

Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous (Orignal Art) – Another case where while the alternate artwork is very nice, the original being upgraded would have also been fine.

Kashtiras – Yet another massive miss when you consider how good Kashtira Unicorn and Fenrir both are still and how powerful Arise-Heart was.

Naturia Mole Cricket and Naturia Camellia – These two alone made Naturia a playable archetype when we had 3 Sacred Tree.

Black-Winged Assault Dragon – Mandiatory end board piece you see when up against new Blackwings.

Merelogic Aggregator – The only good Xyz target we have generically for Ultimate Slayer.

Wollow, Founder of the Drudge Dragons – Solid generic Rank 6, just needs more good Rank 6 Decks.

Donner, Dagger Fur Hire – You can upgrade more in Fur Hire, but this one had generic use.

Muckraker From the Underworld – Another card related to Tour Guide, and it’s amazing Fiend support.

Simul Archfiends – Good Trap considering you can’t use Dimensional Barrier against Links.

Ishizu Monster Retrains – Millers and shufflers alike, these were insanely powerful and broke Tearlaments even more.

Advanced Crystal Beasts – Just cool we finally got these considering they were memorable from the anime.

Number 2: Ninja Shadow Mosquito – More good Rank 2 monsters for Spright.

G Golem Crystal Heart – Sees a bit of play in other Cyberse Decks to revive Transcode Talker.

Rescue-ACE Hydrant and Rescue-ACE Turbulence – Extremely important cards in Rescue-ACE from the first wave of support.

Expurrely Noir – Small Noir being in Stampede is weird when it could have been big Noir, who you could QCR in that set.

Mikanko Water Arabesque – A must for Mikanko to summon your monsters from Deck.

Vanquish Soul Razen, Vanquish Soul Heavy Borger, Rock of the Vanquisher, and Stake your Soul! – I get they chose the VS cards they didn’t put in the tins in Stampede, but it’s a choice to upgrade VS cards and have it be none of the best ones.

Elemental HERO Flame Wingman – Infernal Rage – Important in HERO if you want Shining Neos Wingman access.

Link Decoder – Important extender for Cyberse, even if it recently got banned.

Xyz Armor Fortress – Great for the Armored Xyz package.

Exceed the Pendulum – Shows Konami really doesn’t like Pendulums.

Fire Kings (New Structure Deck Cards) – This was an amazing way to revive a decade old archetype, some of the cards in this Deck deserved a bump.

Fighting Flame Swordsman, Ultimate Flame Swordsman, and Fighting Flame Sword – The best cards from turning Flame Swordsman into a real archetype.

Clorless, Chaos King of Dark World – The lore this holds from many wondering what this thing actually was for over a decade and a half.

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend – Makes Wulf and Feliss not bricks anymore.

Enlightenment Dragon – Fusion of Judgment Dragon and Punishment Dragon would have looked nice in QCR.

Code of Soul – Good for making Pyro Phoenix actually playable in Salamangreat.

Spell Card “Monster Reborn” and Spell Card “Soul Exchange” – Retrains of classic Spell Cards and they’re both useful.

Battlewasps – The legacy support really made Insects a respectable Deck.

Goblin Bikers Gone Wild – Helps as a starter for Goblin Bikers, would have been a nice upgrade.

Azamina Ilia Silvia – So strange to not make this a QCR with the rest of the good Azamina monsters.

Khaos Starsource Dragon – Good Super Poly target and to actually run in Dragon Decks.

Heosvarog the Mechanical Dawn – Another Super Poly target and good for a first turn play in Cyber Dragons.

Eclipse Twins – Unique Rank 4 that’s very powerful in Ryzeal.

Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons – Great artwork and great in the Blue-Eyes Deck.

Spirit with Eyes of Blue – Makes Mausoleum of White playable in Blue-Eyes, but also a solid Striker Dragon replacement.

Azamina – Will be nice removal if you run Saint Azamina.

Filia Regis – Very good Fusion Monster for Dragon Fusion strategies like Dragonnmaid and Dragontail.

Ancient Fairy Life Dragon – AFD was one of the best Signer Dragons in the actual game, so a new form not getting a QCR is sad.

Dragon’s Mind – Really nice Counter Trap if you use a monster with 2500 ATK or DEF.

Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi – One card combo that Mitsurugi needed, so a QCR would have been appreciated.

Conclusion

Honestly, there were a lot more cards I felt deserved a QCR than I expected when I started this, but I guess that’s what happens when barely 10% of the pool gets this upgrade. I guess this does leave for some nice Starlights in the future for the many that don’t already have one, and hopefully some of these don’t miss the 30th Anniversary if we do that. There are more cards that probably would have been fine in QCR, but these feel like missed opportunities the most. Also some cards in the OCG that would have been nice to release while we still had QCRs like the Terminal World 2 cards and support for Orcust, Dragonmaid, and P.U.N.K. but I guess these will also be nice Starlights. No Evil Twin alt arts is super unfourtunate, though.
