Cyberload Fusion
– #LED3-EN014

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists a “Cyber Dragon” monster as material, by shuffling the Fusion Materials listed on it into the Deck, from among your cards on the field and/or your face-up banished cards, but monsters you control cannot attack for the rest of this turn, except that Fusion Summoned monster. You can only activate 1 “Cyberload Fusion” per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Cyberload Fusion is a Quick-Play that gives Cyber Dragons some extra attack power during the Battle Phase in the form of a Fusion monster.

Another way to get your fusion monster that has “Cyber Dragon” in its materials required, a Quick-Play was what the deck was lacking. There are seven targets for Cyberload Fusion to summon, and each of them have their own positives. You need the monsters on the field or face-up in your banished zone, which is an interesting twist on Fusion Summoning. Cycling back resources is good for certain decks, and can be a saving grace late game. Attack with everything first, then use this to avoid the attack clause at the end of the card. This card has such utility now in the Cyber Dragon deck because of the many options that are considered “Cyber Dragon” on the field. While the original Cyber Dragon may be the only one that will work on the field and in your banished zone, this is still a quick and easy way to get to your Fusion monsters and the deck will use it.

This is why you have to play the original Cyber Dragon in multiples in a Cyber Dragon deck. Cyberload Fusion is a QuickPlay Spell Card that lets you Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster that lists Cyber Dragon as material. Not Cyber Dragon Monster, Cyber Dragon itself. You shuffle that material from the field or from the face-up banished zone back into the deck. On the field there can be Fusion Substitutes, but there are no cards that get renamed to Cyber Dragon in the banished zone. As a downside, other monsters can’t attack after activating this once per turn card. However, as a QuickPlay, you can set it to use during your opponent’s turn, or just use it after everything else has attacked and see if you can get some more damage with a new monster. Cyberload Fusion is definitely worth running a few of to push for game.

Looking at another Cyber Dragon card this time, and it is a new Fusion Spell, Cyberload Fusion.

Cyberload Fusion is a Quick-Play Spell that lets you Fusion Summon 1 Monster that lists a Cyber Dragon monster as material by shuffling into the deck monsters you control and/or that are banished, but only the Fusion Summoned monster can attack that turn and you can only activate 1 Cyberload Fusion per turn. Nice for Cyber Dragons to have a searchable Fusion Spell, and one that can get back banished resources from something like Overload Fusion. Some good options are Cyber Twin Dragon, Cyber End Dragon, Chimeratech Rampage Dragon, or Cyber Eternity Dragon. Sadly this does not let you use the GY, otherwise it’d be insane support. You’d probably prefer to use banished monsters but are more than likely using at least one monster on the field. The attack restriction can suck, but the Cyber Dragon Fusions are typically very strong and if you use this for Eternity Dragon, you are likely playing Defensive in that situation. At least you can use this on the opponent’s turn (probably End Phase if you can) to get around the battle restriction. Cyberload Fusion is a nice piece of Cyber Dragon support that might be worth playing in multiples in Cyber Dragon Fusion variants and probably as a 1 of in other variants.

Art: 4/5 Yep, there’s the swirl, and the Cyber Dragons look like they are joining for the ride as well.

Wednesday brings us to a Cyber Dragon related piece of Fusion assistance in Cyberload Fusion.  First off, we’ll note and appreciate this card being a Quickplay Magic card.  Being able to bring out a Fusion Monster on your opponent’s turn can be devastating.  This card also takes a more unique twist on Fusion…it doesn’t say what Monster you have to bring out, just that it has to list a ‘Cyber Dragon’ Monster as material.

Said Monsters used for this Fusion are shuffled back into the Deck (cool, you may end up Drawing them again) and they can come from the Field and/or your removed from play cards (so long as they’re face-up).  After this, your Monsters can’t attack for the rest of the turn, except for the Fusion you brought out via this card.  BUT, that’s not as issue, since we were lucky enough to receive this as a Quickplay.

Only one Cyberload Fusion can be activated per turn, which is fair, because being able to bring out THREE powerhouse Fusions in one turn, let alone on your opponent’s turn, which just open up more One Turn Kill nonsense, and it would just be too powerful to be used at multiples in a single turn.  This card is easy to use, I like the nontraditional spin on how it does things too.  Good for theme, and even outside…you just need the Cybers, after all.

Art:  3.5/5  Swirls are associated with and for Fusion in Yugioh, and I think those are supposed to be Cyber Dragons, the pink glow on them is fun.
