King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Destiny HERO – Dominance rounds out the week and is one of the reasons why old Destiny HERO monsters are seeing more play. Dominance is easy to summon using any of your standard fusion means, though Fusion Destiny is the best, giving you access to a three-fold Foolish Burial turn one that won’t come back and bite you. Set up your grave that way, summon Dominance, then rearrange your opponents top five cards however you want. Not the best effect, but it can be handy to make sure you don’t over-commit. Draw a card when you destroy a monster in battle with Dominance, good effect that makes up for the lack of a good starting effect. Dominance may be best when destroyed. Cost-free Soul Charge for the three Destiny HERO monsters in your grave is the easiest way to get monsters for Plasma and Dogma, or set up for another Extra Deck summon. Crunch$G We end the week with the new Destiny HERO Fusion in town, Destiny HERO – Dominance. Dominance is a Level 10 DARK Warrior Fusion with 2900 ATK and 2600 DEF. Stats aren’t too much worse compared to yesterday and I still like DARK Warrior. The Fusion materials are any 3 Destiny HERO monsters, which shouldn’t be hard at all with Fusion Destiny now being a thing. During the Main Phase, you can look at the top 5 cards of either player’s deck and return them to the top of the deck in any order you choose. This can be great for you to make sure you don’t brick and can make the most optimal plays possible and it can be great when you look at your opponent’s cards so you can make sure they draw the worst cards possible. When this card destroys an opponent’s monster in battle, draw a card. This shouldn’t have any issues killing something and you can know what you draw if you stacked your own deck with his own effect, plus drawing cards is great unless you’re close to decking out. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can target and revive 3 Level 9 or lower Destiny HEROs with different names in your graveyard. Hey, this makes Disk Commander not completely terrible since you’ll likely send that with Fusion Destiny when summoning this and it won’t be the same turn Disk Commander goes to the grave when Dominance is destroyed. Diamond Dude isn’t too terrible to revive either, though there are better Destiny HEROs easily now. You also got Drilldark to summon from your hand. Either way, this gives you three bodies on board for more plays, which is a great benefit a lot of boss monsters love to have when they are outed. Each effect of Dominance is a hard once per turn, which I’m sure you could guess by now. It’s still a pretty solid new Fusion for the archetype and not requiring specific Destiny HEROs to summon and replacing himself upon destruction makes him a worthy addition to the Extra Deck if there’s room. Advanced Rating: 4/5 Art: 4.5/5 He won’t dominate every battle, but he’s strong enough to win most of them. |
Alex Searcy Destiny Hero-Dominance is not as Dominant as his name seems to suggest. Not to say he’s not good, but we’ll get to that in a minute. Weaker than D.E.D. with 2900 attack and 2600 defense, but all the rest is the same…Level 10, Dark, Warrior…no specific Fusion Material, just three Destiny Hero Monsters required here. One for each effect maybe? First is a disruption/control effect. Getting to look at the top five cards of your opponent’s Deck and placing them back in the order of your choosing. This is done during your Main Phase, and note the can, so this is an optional effect. Never a bad idea to know what’s coming, prepare for it, or put it off (if necessary). Not stalling, but preparing. Next, Dominance destroying a Monster nets you a Draw. Free cards are good and with the 2900 attack, this effect should be rather easy for you to pull off. This effect is also optional, which is good I suppose if only to keep you from Decking out. Finally, if destroyed by Battle OR Card Effect (so long as it was Fusion Summoned) you get to Special Summon three Destiny Heroes (differently named) from your Graveyard. This effect is Targeting, and they can be Level 9 or below, so you should have the option open to literally anything your have in your Graveyard. Versatility is always appreciated, and bringing out three for one is just crazy sick. Each effect here can only be used once per turn. He’s good, quite good in fact. I wouldn’t say he has much Dominance, per say, and he’s weaker than Dragoon, but easier to bring out. Rating: 4/5 Art: Love everything about this. Though seems more Machine to me, and not just the armor. The sword is gigantic, the background is great, cosmic vibes here for sure. 5/5 |
WarlockBlitz Eh. More generic boss monster by requirements, less awesome than yesterday by stats. He’s more useful when he dies. Score: 4/5 Art: 4/5 |
