Vegeta
Warrior - Alien
Turn: 4
Chi: A
Saiyan | Male | Frieza Family
Super Heal | Toughness
This warrior's team must be sent out to attack if possible.
6/2
5/0
I have to attack with him whenever I can? Um, is that supposed to
be a drawback? Look at the guy. I'm pretty sure he has the largest
combat among any 4-turn warrior, so if you're playing him, you want
to go with the aggressive route. This supposed drawback is there
basically to force you to go that way, because if things go against
the way you want them, you won't be able to save him for defense.
You'll be stuck with a cocky guy that doesn't know when he's beat.
Not that he doesn't have a reason to be cocky, though. He's even
great when he's injured! Vegeta makes an absolutely superb leader
for an alien team, and even brings along some support when his boss
comes down. You almost want him to get injured, because that means
you'll have a chance to rebuild him with even greater technology.
Yeah, he's a very solid card, which means I have to come down on him
having an alien chi cost. That means he most definitely can't go in
alone. You're going to have to devote some of the deck to aliens in
order to get him out reliably on turn 5. Fortunately, this is
totally doable as aliens have plenty of great cards to include in
decks. UNfortunately, aliens have a significant lack of decent
support characters, choosing instead to rely on lots of high-combat
warriors. He'll still be great when he hits the table, but it's
doubtful that the tempo you're afforded will truly be translated
into much advantage in the long-term.
Vegeta works best in a deck that wants to capitalize on a large
amount of early aggro, but he'll work about as well anywhere else,
too.

Turn 4, 1 Alien Chi

Super Recovery, Toughness
This Warrior's Team must be sent out to attack if possible.
Vegeta, the third Saiyan to be reviewed this week, More power than
Gohan, Less than Goku (not suprising) A solid middle ground.. at
first glance.
Vegeta seems to be serving as the standard turn 4 Warrior in Alien
build decks at the current moment and I honestly do not understand
why. A 6/2 turn 4 is a solid character, very solid, and is counter
balanced by a cost of 1 Alien chi; this would be fine but for some
reason bandai decided to balance him into the ground with his
ability. This is where I think a lot of people are thinking he is
useful, he's a 6/2, he's turn 4, of course I'm gonna attack with
him.. and for the most part that IS true, on turn 4 and likely turn
5 you will be attacking with him. But let's remember what cards turn
6 and turn 7 bring... Goku and Frieza, not to mention Andriods 17
and 18, both happy to see you forced to attack. What does Vegeta
look like when you have an opposing force consisting of Andriod
18/Cell/Kami and Emperor Pilaf with a dragon ball? What about Goku/Jackie
Chun/Fortune Teller Baba or even just SR Piccolo with 3 open Unique
Chi... this is where Vegeta breaks down, too many Fierce characters,
too many Andriod special abilities, too many high power teams. It's
just simply too much to make him a consistant character.
Constructed: 3/5 - Good stats, too many negatives to forced attacks.
Sealed: 4/5 - If you have the chi to play him consistantly he is a
powerhouse in an environment where you wont face multiple Pilafs or

Vegeta
The last card this
week is the prince of all sayians and the warrior that said the
famous line Heʼs
power level is over 9,000( had to throw that in :P). Vegeta is an
Alien Element warrior and a turn 4. As a turn 4 Vegeta possess the
highest stats for his turn 6/2 healthy 5/0 injured. Vegeta has a
down side that he has to attack every turn that it is allowed which
can hurt you when you donʼt
have the biggest team. One redeeming quality is that Vegeta has the
toughness and super heal abilty( super recovery is super heal itʼs
just a typo on the card). In my opion this card gets a 3.9/5 just
because many ppl would rather stick with cell to get past the
drawback and provide the needed support to build big teams. |

Vegeta
WA-021 (super rare)
Today we have the Alien Super Rare Vegeta. This card has its ups and its
downs.
First is the ups. Vegeta is a Turn 4 warrior with 1 Alien chi cost. This
card happens to be the best turn 4 drop for any of the currect symbols
in the game. Why you ask? Because Vegeta has a 6/2 heathy stats and 5/0
Injured. Nothing else comes close until Turn 5. This is a big advantage
for the Aliens. Vegeta also has Super Recovery and Toughness like
yesterdays Goku (Super Saiyan) so you know that cards like Senzu beans
will make Vegeta bigger and bigger. Plus, with this card being a Turn 4,
he slips right over Frieza (Final Form)'s effect and under Goku (Super
Saiyan)'s effect making his a must is almost any deck that can suport
his simple cost.
Second would be Vegeta's down side, His Effect. "This warrior's team
must be sent out to attack if possible". This doesn't really hurt Vegeta
all the time, but there are times when you don't want to attack (like if
your big support character is targeted by cards like Captured).
Fortunety this effect is not valid so if Vegeta gets Injured, you can
just wait to attack until you get that Senzu bean you need.
I would give Vegeta a 3/5 for Playablity in any deck outside a Alien
based deck and a 4/5 in a Deck around Aliens. Again the Art work is just
great so this gets a 5/5 |

Vegeta
is a very powerful asset to any deck running Alien Chi. He's a Turn
4 warrior with Turn 5 stats. Yes, having a hand cost is a drawback,
and being forced to be sent out to battle every turn is a bummer,
but he has very nice stats: 6/2 Healthy, 5/0 Injured. He's
obviously meant to be a head warrior with these stats! Alien decks
and Rush decks love him.
Possessing Super Heal and Toughness is really, really nice as well
as it will be very hard to remove him from the board through
damage. Heal him with Senzu Bean or, as has been hinted on the
official forums, with Dende and some other cards from the Awakening
set, and you'll have one really large warrior!
I'll give Vegeta a 4/5. He's a near-staple in Alien decks and any
decks that want to use a Rush-oriented strategy to win, so his
rating is a bit high. I really think he's a good card but the Super
Saiyain Vegeta in the Awakening set might overshadowed him.. only
time will tell. =) |
