Android 19 - Thursday
While not very many people like his character
(and I for one, am scared of it O_o), u have to admit Android 19 is
good in the CCG. I haven't seen him played in anything other than an
orange deck, though, as a result of his powers that focus around
orange. His powers are mainly blocks that gain u power stages, which
is always a good thing in an energy deck. U can pretty much have a
field day with an Orange Android 19 deck, but remember... watch out
for Blueprints!! O_O

Android 19
This character is the only chracter in the show that actually scares me... I'm not kiding, this "thing"
freaks me out more than anything in the world... especially w/ that freaky voice ~_~;
Standard
A-19's amazing if you declare an orange TW because "it" goes really well with the way the style is
played... unlike Krillin and Cooler, I mean what were they thinking? >,< Anywayzz A-19's level 1 is cool,
its level 2 is ok but the level 3 is the most amazig thing in the world... u get a energy attack for free
and draw 2 cards, but sice you have to declare a TW to
make it playable that's gona hurt its rating 0_o

Keeping in mind that 19's powers are pretty much 100% combat oriented and anger hate is not as bad in TE as
it is in Standard I believe 19 gets a lil better. I thinkzz that if you're gona use him as an MP u wana
reach his level 3 ASAP and in TE that should be no problem but I still haven't seen a single A-19 deck
out there o.0 *runs to build a TE A-19 deck* ^_^
Rating 3.5
As an Ally
A-19 as a kwel level 1 power that can be used really well in ally decks cuz is not a defense shiled and u
can wait til you're at 0 or 1 above to use it or save it for that big Physical attack your opponent has in
his hand. 19's level 2 is not as good as an ally but w/ the new ally rules there's no reason why you would
even think about using the level 2 >_^
Rating 4
~Note: Please notice that I referred to A-19 as an "it" cuz I still don't think that thing can be
considered a he @_@ |

Android 19 is interesting. He is
the first villain personality to have powers directly correlating to
a Tokui-Waza, in this case, orange style. I really don't like this
idea, because you can already know what's going on in your
opponent's deck first by the mastery, and then by the personality
powers with this new concept. So obviously, he's best with orange
style. Orange got a new concept in Cell Saga, which was introduced
just a little in Androids -- anger. Before, orange anger was
associated with physicals, and due to Orange's great drills, no one
wanted to level. Now, Android 19's power get extremely good as he
levels, with his level 2 totally counteracting physical decks
(especially saiyan) and his level 3 offering an energy attack and 2
card draws. I definetly see him owrking in a orange deck with very
few noncombats, but until oragne gets some stronger attacks and
defenses with secondary effects, it'll still need the drill defense
it sets up so well.

This character really bugs me.
Plans to make an angry orange special beam cannon deck with Piccolo
all down the drain when I find out this annoying clown boy has 12
stages at level 1! >_< So he's a pretty darn good character
for orange decks, specially when you throw in some of those spicy
Android Drills. Not really worth getting angry with though, his
level 2 power isn't all that much better than level 1. His AS level
1 is next to useless, so go with the CS energy defense in almost all
cases. So even though he can be pretty darn good, for limited
usefulness, I give him only:

Android 19 was just made for orange. All of his powers give you
bonuses if you declared an orange tokui-waza. His first level stops
an energy attack and you power up 3 stages. Theres a power to stop
orange energy discharge. His level 2 stops the first unstopped
physical attack. And when entering combat you gain 5 power stages.
So that blocks saiyan style mastery. You lose 4 then gain 5 or gain
5 lose 4. Not a bad power at all. His level 3 is a great power. Its
an energy attack for 0. You draw a card and if you declared a
tokui-waza you get to draw another card. And its all free! This
android is great in an orange anger type deck. The more he goes up
in levels the better he gets. |

What can I say.. every starter set,
there seems to be 1 personality that is just made for energy
beatdown, and this one is it! The first tip that 19 is made for
energy beatdown is the fact that he has 12 stages above 0..
meaning, he can take both more of a beating, and he can preform 1
or 2 more energy attacks if needed.
19 also has a great constant power
level.. while this may cause problems in the early game, you'll be
thankful in the long run for such a high pl at lv.1, as well as
his PUR, which is nicely attunded to energy beatdown. To make
things even MORE energy related, his lv.1-3 have added benifits if
you're playing orange, which just happens to be the style of
choice for pure energy beats. Score went ouf of their way to make
this character as good as it could be at a particular type, and
while 19 isnt really that great in any other deck, in an orange
energy beatdown, it pretty much fits the glove.
This of course is better in Tuff Enuff
than in standard, as beatdown is always more versatile in tuff
enuff.

Android 19 is probably
one of the most overlooked personalities possible for a deck. Maybe
his AS level 1 has something to do with that, but the CS
personalities aren't bad. Defense shields at level 1 and 2 are very
nice especially when paired up with either the new or old orange
mastery. If you can manage to get to level 3, his power is great for
standard decks.
Regarding Tuff Enuff, his power level
doesn't give him the edge he needs to withstand/dish out mean
physicals, and his personality powers fade when compared with other
personalities with attacks for their powers.
