Dragon Ball

Power: While you control this Dragon Ball and you declared a Tokui-Waza, your opponent cannot use his Mastery card.

Heh, this card is just wrong. Instant North Kai. And it is sticking around too.

Most decks revolve around their MP’s card power and the Mastery. There aren’t many cards that can shut off a Mastery, but this one now takes the cake. This can stick around for nearly ever, not to mention you’d need to steal it or shuffle/remove it to get your Mastery back. But without your Mastery, do you think you can against a well teched DB deck?

That’s the biggest thing. DBs are all double edged swords, and with that in mind, this can bite you if it gets stolen. That’s the major down part, but if you can work around that, like get a lockdown with Goku’s Capturing Drills, this can easily be one of the most powerful Dragon Balls ever created.

Thing is, being able to shut down a Mastery for even just one turn can easily mean good game. North Kai is one of the best Senseis, and with just twice per game you can win. With this DB, it can easily be longer, giving you ample time to get around Saiyan hand size, Freestyle Drills, and Blue Prevention.

Watch this card though, because if you shutdown certain Masteries you might lose. Saiyan MBS is an example. Don’t forget you can elect not to use the Dragon Ball if you steal it. But yeah, if you are going to lose if you put Namek 7 out, obviously don’t.

Try this Dragon Ball out. The other Namek 7 is nice because you have the instant steal, but this one can push the tides in your favor with the unexpected shutdown of your opponent’s deck’s vital organs. Just a little struggle might push you right over to win the game.

Standard: 4.4 out of 5.0 (shutdown, control, and it is a DB) Tuff Enuff: 4.0 out of 5.0 (no DB tech, but very very strong)
Sealed: 2.5 out of 5.0 (decent, but depends if Masteries are pulled) ~matthewlow

Power: While you control this Dragon Ball and you declared a Tokui-Waza, your opponent cannot use his Mastery card

Heh, and people hated North Kai Sensei :p. Get goku's Captruing Drill and this out..geez..thats just evil. Unless of course the opponent you're
playing isn't using a mastery ANYWAY. But come on, 3 out of 5 decks run masteries these days :p. Anyway, This is indeed a very good card..much better than the original Namek Dragon BAll 7 "Steal an opponent's Dragon Ball" :p.

Standard: 2.8
Tuff Enuff: 4.1
Surlio  The Alternate Nameks are definately some of the best ones I've seen, and DB7 is no exception. The ability to shut off a mastery without north kai is impressive, just have to make sure you keep it. The ability to shut off a mastery is impressive, especially with the over power that a lot of the buu masteries got. The annoying drill pulling Orange, the drill keeping Freestyle, the physcial beatdown with prevention blue, and the niffty Sayian, all shut down. Don't forget about the other masteries too. TS Red, Black, Orange, Namekian, CS Black, Red, Orange, Sayian, Namekian, and WGS Blue, Red, and Orange.

Mastery shut down is an important part of any stratigy these days, which is why North Kai is run so much. A few other cards were capable of doing so, but most of them weren't as useful, or could be avoided. Generally you had to hold them till the right moment, then have to set it up, but having to do so in combat doesn't shut off the When entering combat masteries like all the Namekians and most of the Sayian style. This card can add punch to most any deck.

I'm seeing a lot of Sayian decks running Namek DBs with this one in the mix. They already had the Power Beam to deal with it, now with this, it just increases the threat more. On top of that, Sayian Gut Kick can pull it and still allow it to use its power, which is nasty. With at least 6 cards to shut down a mastery fast, Sayian will benifit the most from running this card.

All decks could use this card, trust me, but its no EDB7. I've seen EDB7 turn the tide of a game completely around. Alt. NDB7 is impressive, but it can be stolen, and its not effective if you didn't declare.

Standard: 4.5 of 5 (mastery shut down rocks) Tuff Enuff: 3.9 of 5 (mastery shut down still rocks, though not as impressive here with styleless decks)
Sealed: 0 of 5 (doubtful you can declare, or that people will have masteries)

While this card is in play, your opponent may not use his Mastery card.

Standard: 4/5
What!? BROKEN! Well, since it's a Namek DB, your opp. can Guru Fades it. W/ Piccolo Sensei, they can put it in anywhere, and adjust when needed. It can also be captured, but DB decks deny that. If you run any DB in a Tournament, run this one if you don't use Dende DB's.

Tuff Enuff: 3.5/5
Since you can't keep your drills (Unless it's Freestyle) it basically gets a Smack in the face. But, still broken after that.
