Monday - Yajirobe's Gifting Drill
Uh oh..mantis picked cards this week >_>..
Anywho, this is a decent card, 1 less stage
and 1 less life card, it coudl prevent dball capture, and with blue
prevention drill it will prevent 2 and 2. Fact is, drills can be
easily destroyed, and, this drill isn't that great, there are better
ones you could run in it''s place. (VQD, etc.,)

Monday - Yajirobe's Gifting Drill
What can I say, I like this card. :p Four out (if you play Yajirobe...
but
who plays Yajirobe besides scrubs like me?) are just annoying as
heck. I don't know about you, but preventing 4 life and 4 stages
from every attack sounds good to me. The only real problem is,
drills are... sitting ducks these days. So it's hard to get them out
for more than a couple of turns. Still, it can be pretty useful in
my opinion.

Yajirobe's Gifting Drill
Oooooh... Reduce all damage by one life card or one stage... Now why
does this sound like a po' boy's version of Master Roshi Sensei?
Anyway, this card could be used in tandem with the aformentioned UR
to prevent 2 life cards of damage. Now what decks need that small
edge? An easy Q to answer, obviously Dragonball, seeing as they run
a very small deck and a few big hits will take out most of the cards
they use to prevent capturing of their DBs and the cards they need
to get them back. Also, preventing two cards would help prevent a
KHSB with no Drill setup from capturing their DBs. However, the only
DB decks using this are built by the seemingly few unorthodox
players.
You could also use this card in the new defensive Blue Buu
archetype. You'd obviously use the new Mastery and Blue Prevention
Drill to prevent 3 life with every Blue you remove. This card would
give you one less life card to take, which could save you from
removing a Blue card you could remove when you can prevent the full
3 cards. Yay, I likez. This card can also be used in other defensive
decks, but I cannot think of a one of them that is any good.
Standard - 2.2/5. May see some play, but not too much.
TE- 1.2/5. This enviroment is about the beats.

Yajirobe's Gifting Drill:
Since Mantis is picking all cards this week have Yajirobe on the
them. Today's card is a drill from the frieza saga that reduces the
damage from all of your opponent's attacks by 1ps and 1lc. This
card works in decks that try to keep the damage they take to a
minimum, and at the same time don't have much fear of losing their
drills. This narrows this card down to orange decks (Orange
Focusing Drill), MBS Freestyle decks, and Meta Cooler decks. This
card is not bad in all these decks, but even then you will not see
it that often. Meta-Cooler MBS Blue Decks probably have the highest
chance of running this card. This card may turn up in a few
freestyle decks as well (Freestyle Yajirobe O_O). Orange Decks are
the least likely, because OFD offers the least amount of drill
protection, but the new mastery does give this card a little
opportunity to be played. This card can stop Orange Vinegar from
taking your Dragons Balls so long as the person running it doesn't
use Master Roshi Sensei.

Errata: Treat this card as if it read, “Reduce the damage from all
attacks performed against you by 1 power stage or 1 life card of
damage.”
Well, this card is an alright card. Preventing damage is nice, but
there are obviously better cards to put in such as Guldo's Time
Freeze Drill if you're a villian. But personally, I'd rather just
put in another omni-block. Not to mention, any card with Yajirobe's
picture on it is automatically a BAD CARD. x_x This week is sure
gonna be Yajirobe-a-licious.
Reduce the damage from all attacks performed against you by 1 power
stage or 1 life card of damage.
Um… no. Strange pick though.
This will save you one life card or power stage, which can make or
break a game, but in this case, it won’t. It is a Drill, which makes
it not very stable. It isn’t worth running since the effect won’t
last long.
It is Freestyle, so it can be protected with the Freestyle Mastery
MBS, but honestly it isn’t worth it. You are much better off
choosing Android 20 Absorbing Drill or using physical blocks like
Pikkon’s Leg Catch. It doesn’t really save you that much in the few
turns it survives.
One thing you can say is it is Yajirobe named; Yajirobe Freestyle
Decks anyone? I can go get my Yajirobe’s Energy Attack and do a
whole life card of damage! Yippee!
By the way, that was sarcastic.
Nothing really else to say… just not good enough, don’t use it.
Standard: 1.2 out of 5.0 (not a playable drill, can help but not
worth it) Tuff Enuff: 1.1 out of 5.0 (drills don’t last very long in
this environment)
Sealed: 2.5 out of 5.0 (it can make a pretty nice difference here;
one life card per attack can make or break games) ~matthewlow
