Android 18’s Palm Blast – Babidi Saga – Movie 7 Subset
Promo - #M30
Energy Combat
Endurance 2. Energy attack dong 5 life cards of damage. If you have
at least 2 personalities in play with “Android” in the title, raise
your anger 1 level and shuffle this card back into your Life Deck
after use.
This card is just… average. Nothing stands out too much. It has nice
effects, but isn’t really special or anything.
The Endurance 2 is nice and can help a bit, especially since it
shuffles back into your deck. This card will only be used in Android
decks seeing that it doesn’t do much of anything if there aren’t two
Android personalities out under your control. It would be simple to
use for someone with an Android Main Personality and a quick way to
get out an ally, like South Kai or Android 20 Level 1 AS. Other than
that, there isn’t much use for this card.
You need the setup to get the most out of it, and even then you have
problems. It boils down to this… either an energy for 5 with
endurance 2 or the same that gives you one anger and shuffles back
into your deck, but you have to set it up first. In a sense, it is
just not worth doing it.
It does have Android in the card title and can be searched out with
Android 16 Smiles and Android 13’s Prepared Stance. This card,
however, wouldn’t be one I would recommend trying to search for. The
effects aren’t game changing enough.
You can play Android 18 with the Freestyle Mastery from Buu and get
this every turn if you make sure it goes back every turn… as long as
you don’t get disrupted. But the reason for that is beyond me.
This card is generally villains only since the only logical way to
use it hero is to have Android 18 and Android 16, where one is the
ally and the other is the MP. 16 is a terrible ally, while 18 is the
great MP, so you are just better off using this in villain and get
Android 14 as the ally.
Standard: 2.3 out of 5.0 (takes minor setup, but nothing great)
Tuff Enuff: 2.1 out of 5.0 (ditto)
Sealed: 1.5 out of 5.0 (endurance nice touch, but you won’t be
getting two Androids; just very unlikely)

Monday – Android 18’s Palm Blast
This card is just kind of, “out there.” It has no synergy with any
other cards what-so-ever. The only time I could see this card being
useful is possibly in an Android 18 Freestyle deck, but even then,
Android 18 doesn’t have a lot of very good named cards. I would
definitely use greater, more powerful energy attacks over this
stinker.
Standard – 1.5/5
Tuff Enuff – 1/5

Monday - Android 18's Palm Blast
This is a decent card, really only good an android ally deck, or
just a deck that runs 2 androids in it, I guess.. and in those, it's
amazing :p, 5
life, 1 anger, shuffled in, yay!! :p. Coupled with modifiers,
and..erm..other stuff it's kewliez :p
Standard: 1.8

Monday - Android 18's Palm Blast
Poor poor Tien. :p Well, this is a nice card. Endurance 2, energy
for 5,
got two androids in play, you get an anger and this is recycled.
Standard stuff, basically, except for the nice little effect at the
end. This would be good in a *wait for it* Android ally energy deck,
I would say. Nothing real special about it though.
Standard: 3/5 TE: 3/5

Android 18's Palm Blast
This card is my second favorite Android 18 named card, behind the
Stare Down, obviously. If you could not have guessed, I'm an 18
fanatic. I need one more of this card. Anyway, on to the review.
This card is a nice little energy with 2 Endurance that does 5 life
without any Androids in play. But all it takes is just one Android
and an Android MP to use the full potential of this card. Gain 1
anger and shuffle back into your deck to draw it back or use
Endurance 2? I'll take that! With Android 20's AS Lv.1, you could
grab an Android first turn, then use this card. I've done it quite a
bit, it's very fun. Heck, for even more fun with 20, you can use
this on Lv.2 with some more Androids out to do around 6-13 life,
then gain the anger and shuffle it back. Another hilarious play.
As for other Androids you can use this
with, 18 herself would also be a likely candidate. You can use four
with her, of course. She is also a good choice because she can use
Looking Good to grab some Androids, and with her card advantage
using the CS Lv.1, you can grab Looking Good or Palm Blast, or just
set a Palm Blast at top if you need to prevent some damage. 19 may
also work because he is an energy-oriented MP, but he has no card
advantage until Lv.3 and less ways to play Allies.
Rating:
Standard - 2.8/5. It's a good card, but I don't see 18 or 20 being
used too much. There are also better energies for most decks that
are easier to get than a M7 Promo.
TE - 3.5/5. Ahhh, 18 and 20 are both viable MPs here. *GASP*

Android 18's Palm Blast:
This card is very nice for an Android Energy Deck. An Energy for 5lc
that is shuffled back in, raises your anger 1, and has Endurance 2
can never be a bad card. As long as the Androids are in play that
is. This card is great in Android 15 decks, seeing as he needs
Android 14 in play for his card powers meaning you will run South
Kai and will have two Andriods in play. Plus you gain an anger,
which is perfect for 15. But, seeing as this card in an Android 18
named card, it must be good for her as well. Now with all the BS
promo's she recieved she has become quite playable character again.
Who knows, a freestyle deck? I doubt it, but it could happen.
Provided you have the allies, it's hard to turn this card down in
any Android Ally Deck. Unless you don't have the card. :p
Standard: 2.5 (Android Decks aren't that popular in this format)
TE: 3.8 (great for the right deck, loses some points for limited
useability)
