Krillin, Z Warrior Level 2 – Buu
Saga
Uncommon - #72
PersonalityPower: Energy attack doing 3
life cards of damage. This attack does an additional +X life cards
of damage, X = Krillin’s current PUR. Lower your opponent’s anger 2
levels.
Just so you all know, Krillin’s card says it
is a Constant Combat Power, but that was a misprint. It is a power.
Krillin’s current PUR is 3, which isn’t
shabby. It matches his Level 2 HT from the Cell Saga (Trunks Saga
Redemption). Thus, if you do the math, his power would do a whopping
7 life cards of damage (assuming you declare a Tokui-Waza). That may
seem like it is a lot, but his Cell Saga HT is much better.
His power levels are a tiny bit higher, but it
is nothing to be overjoyed about. If anything, you might as well
ignore it.
Krillin’s power does some nice damage, and if
his PUR is modified with cards like Dende Healing Drill or Black
Zarbon Transformation Drill, this attack can do more damage. The
only thing is doing that is not worth the effort. You’d be able to
deal a tiny bit more damage while wasting valuable deck space. In
Krillin decks, you should be going for that nasty Level 3 from World
Games.
The built in anger reduction is a nice treat
though; it might help in some tight games. That is generally the
lone thing that sets this one apart from the Cell Saga HT. The Cell
Saga one has two nice energies that drain more stages (helps with
ally) and can be modified separately, not to mention that they’d
need to be blocked separately. This one comes all in one blow, but
has the added effect that might help a tiny bit in Standard.
This Krillin can also be an ally, but that’s
not a bright idea at all. I’d stick with the Cell Saga Level 1.
Standard: 1.5 out of 5.0 (this only gets this
high because of the anger reduction; use the CS HT)
Tuff Enuff: 1.3 out of 5.0 (this has a higher
potential to overkill, but I would still just go with the CS HT and
Anger Management/Are You Tuff Enuff??? with it, or just jump a
level)
Sealed: 0.5 out of 5.0 (you’ll never be able
to use him… pretty much. You have to pull a matching level 4 and get
to level 2; good luck) ~matthewlow
