Piccolo the Mentor Level 2 – World Games Saga
Starter - #195
Personality

Power: Energy attack doing 8 life cards of damage. Remove 2 cards in your discard pile from the game. Gain 1 power stage for each remaining card in your discard pile.

All in one. This was a very good level 2 especially when Piccolo the Trained raised his anger. It still is.

An energy doing 8 life is nothing bad. The ability to remove discards sets up the Namekian TS Mastery, and other cards like Vegeta’s Quickness Drill. It thus works best in Namekian.

The gaining stages usually gets you to full in the late game, and that can easily shut off physical decks and boost your energy.

This level 2 is just plain good. Power up to full, discard pile manip, energy for 8… how is this bad? It just isn’t. The ability to level to level 2, power for 8, Ki Push for 11, and Aura Clash, and power for 8 was plain broken back at Worlds, and is what obviously made Piccolo Namekian even better than what it was before.

Namekian was really good, and it still is decent. But by all means you should run this level 2 in Piccolo Namekian energy still.

Standard: 4.2 out of 5.0 (Piccolo Namekian all the way)

Tuff Enuff: 4.2 out of 5.0 (ditto)

Sealed: 4.5 out of 5.0 (Piccolo is decent in sealed, but get off that level 1…) ~matthewlow

Trunks
Piccolo The Mentor - WGS

An energy attack for 8 and you remove 2 cards in your discard pile from the game. For each card left in your discard pile gain 1 power stage. Such a nice power for namekian decks. You get a big energy attack for 8, you get to power up and it sets up your discard pile for the namekian style mastery from trunks saga. This still is a great power and shouldnt be overlooked. Its alot better than the new buu saga levels he has as well if youre looking to make piccolo in an energy based deck. Though he has lower power stages but its not like that matters a whole lot.

Rating 3.5

Piccolo, The Mentor #195 from World Games

Power: Energy attack doing 8 life cards of damage. Remove 2 cards in your discard pile from the game. Gain 1 power stage for each remaining card in your discard pile.

Often times this was the level 2 used in conjuntion with Piccolo, The
Trained back in the days of worlds when his power raised his anger 2. This is great for energy decks! Not only is it an energy for 8 life, but you most likely will power up to full, or close to it! This is Piccolo's best level
2. The only thing bad is that you have to remove 2 cards in your discard
pile; although that is a very small price to pay for what the other effects
are. Not much else to say, except it is a very good level 2 for almost any
deck; even if you are physical beatdown, it isn't bad to power up while
getting the chance to dish out 8 life.
