Blue Style Mastery – Trunks Saga/Cosmic Anthologies Subset
Rare – CA34
Mastery

Power: (This is an MRP of the Trunks Saga Blue Style Mastery.) Your opponent must reach 6 anger to advance a personality level. All of your Blue Style attacks gain, "If successful, raise or lower your opponent's anger 1 level."

Well at least we can say Score did something good to this Mastery. But it still isn’t playable enough to make an impact on the environment. The CS and MBS ones are still a lot better. This generally only will work for Dragon’s Victory, but if you are too busy trying to get your own anger up there…

The biggest keys are the Blue Style cards. There just aren’t enough of them that will benefit the Mastery enough. Blue has the neat Terror and Betrayal, but is lacking in really solid attacks. That’s the biggest inherent weakness of the Blue Style, which brings down this Mastery’s rank.

Only the CS generally has the greatest help seeing Blue style cards aren’t needed to make the Mastery good.

Anger lowering is great, but this much anger tech is just plain unnecessary. Just some packed in the deck and not the Mastery is what I would aim for. The CS Mastery would be better.

Now if only there were actually cards that were Blue Attacks that worked in Dragon’s Victory…

Standard: 1.4 out of 5.0 (anti-anger… maybe can level an annoying level 1… DV… yeah right)

Tuff Enuff: 1.7 out of 5.0 (Dragon’s Victory…)
Sealed: 3.0 out of 5.0 (Hey, it is a Mastery… can’t hurt) ~matthewlow

Mewfive Blue Style Mastery w/ the new MRP ruling
This Mastery has an aspect of the TS Mastery attached to it, in the fact
that you need 6 anger to level up. But the new text says that "If a Blue
Style attack is successful, raise or lower your opponent's Anger 1 level.".
Interesting in anti-Anger decks, but I would rather just attach a card to
their MP, then beat them senseless.  With that aspect of this Mastery out of the way, I can move on to the raising Anger part. Some opponents run a MP with an annoying Lv.1 power.

Just hit them 6 times with Blue attacks, and you get rid of the Lv.1. Fun
stuff, but that's why Aura Clash and AYTE were made. This Mastery would work best in DV decks. You get an opponent to 4 Anger, Mind Control Device them, then make them gain 1 anger every time a Blue attack hits, so that their anger does not change.

Rating:
Standard: There are better Blue Masteries, but this one has some use. 2.4/5.
TE: Hmmm... Neither DV nor Anti-Anger is as prevalent here, but who am I to say? 2.3/5.

Blue Style Mastery, #CA34 from the Cosmic Anthologies Subset, or #149 from
Trunks Saga

Power: (This is an MRP of the Trunks Saga Blue Style Mastery.) Your opponent must reach 6 anger to advance a personality level. All of your Blue Style attacks gain, "If successful, raise or lower your opponent's anger 1 level."

This MRP helped the worst mastery in the game a little. Anger isn't really
an issue these days, so it isn't quite as effective as it used to be. I
would say the main deck that would use this is probably a dragon's victory
deck. Otherwise, use one of the other blue style masteries. Aura Clashes and Are you tuff enuff still get around this mastery. In my opinion a small
improvement overall.

Ratings:

Standard - 2 (helps against anger, or if your opponent is Roshi or someone
like that you can level them up)

Tuff Enuff - 2.2 (alot of decks try to get to high levels, good mastery to
keep them down)

Sealed Deck - 1.4 (Don't use this mastery if you get it)
