Red Whiplash-

Red Whiplash is a fun card. There is no reason why you shouldn’t run it in a physical beatdown deck, or anger deck for that matter. Your opponent will be tempted to just let the attack happen because you could draw a much worse card from the “if stopped” effect. Red Overbearing Attack, Red Shattering Leap, who knows what you could draw with this card. This card also has Empower 2 and also raises your anger 1 to boot.

Standard – 3.5/5

Tuff Enuff – 3.5/5
Mewfive Red Whiplash
Endurance 2. Always good, and with Red Striking Drill in play, it has 3
Endurance, yay. A +4 physical and raise my Anger 1 level.

Not too shabby if I'm running any sort of Red physical deck. Empower 2 is okay if you know that this attack will not be stopped. This is one of those attacks you WANT your opponent to stop. If it is stopped, you search the bottom 5 cards of your deck for a Physical Combat, place it in your hand, and the remaining cards are placed in any order at the top of your deck. Any self-respecting opponent would likely not stop this attack unless they would take a fair amount of life cards from it, just to prevent you from getting another physical, which could be bigger, and pummeling them with that. They'd also not stop it so that you do not set up your next hand.
This card could work well with the Buu Saga Red Mastery. Your opponent uses TIAWT. You use this card and you decide not to make it focused. It's
stopped, you grab another Red physical, which is stronger, and make that
focused. Fun stuff.

Standard - 3.4/5. A fun card in those rare Red physical decks.

TE - 3.6/5.

AJC468 Red Whiplash:

Red only got two physcial attacks in the fusion saga, but they are both great. Red Whiplash is definently a staple for all red physical decks. It is a solid +4 physical attack that has endurance 2 and empower 2, but what makes this card good is what happens when your opponent blocks it. If your opponent happens to stop this attack (an exteremly stupid move unless they played a stop-all or are in a critical situation), it will cost them a block from their hand and give you another attack! It also allows you to set the other cards on top of your life deck in any order, which is alway nice. Besides anger, red isn't seen much in standard, so this is mainly a tuff enuff card. No red physical deck should be without this card.

Red Whiplash, #118 from Fusion Saga

Power: Endurance 2. Physical attack doing +4 power stages of damage. Raise your anger 1 level. Empower 2. If stopped, search the bottom 5 cards of your Life Deck for a Physical Combat card and place it into your hand. The remaining cards are placed on top of your Life Deck in any order.

WOW! This card is amazing! I threw 3 in my red majin buu deck as soon as I saw it. I would have still used it even if the entire empower/empower effect were not even on the card! First of all, it has endurance 2, which is good. A physical for +4, not too bad. Anger up 1, always good. Plus the awesome empower effect. Not only do you get to search your bottom 5 for a physical combat card, but you also get to put the rest on top in any order; you could even set up to have more red whiplashes on the bottom so you could do it multiple times. It may make your opponent let the attack get through just to stop you using the "if stopped" effect. Your opponent may regret using defense shields once they see you using this card. There are not too many attacks out there where you don't mind if it is stopped, or even sometimes want it stopped! This will become a staple in any red physical beatdown deck, or any red anger deck. This card is not even removed from the game, which in my opinion is just wrong! The only downside I could find was that it is a rare, which is not much of a downside at all.

This card is right up there with Dazed for the best Fusion Saga card!

Ratings:

Standard - 4.5

Tuff Enuff - 4.7

Sealed Deck - 4.5

Red Whiplash – Fusion Saga
Rare - #118
Physical Combat

Power: Endurance 2. Physical attack doing +4 power stages of damage. Raise your anger 1 level. Empower 2. If stopped, search the bottom 5 cards of your Life Deck for a Physical Combat card and place it into your hand. The remaining cards are placed on top of your Life Deck in any order.

This one is actually decent. Go Pojo!

I would consider running this card in many decks. Physical beatdown and anger both can use this thing. Endurance only adds to the fun.

Anger gets a beefed up Red Knee Bash, and physical beats can make it do another 2 more life or, if they know a block is coming like Vegeta’s Jolting Slash, they can fish out another card or prepare to take 4-7+ stages. Anger welcomes the if stopped clause as many Physical Combat cards in anger decks give anger, and as long as that anger is one, the net gain for this card is enough. Anger decks don’t care if this thing gets stopped; they more or less want it to be.

Sure you can get it stopped and not get a good card, but honestly, you can even set up the other 4 cards to your advantage. This card isn’t really bad at all unless you’ve got the unlikely chance of it hitting in an anger deck, or getting stopped via a stop-all in physical and drawing junk. Even then that’s not a terrible thing. The fact that this card can mess with your opponent’s mind about whether to stop it or not gives it a major boost.

Standard: 3.8 out of 5.0 (red anger is a bit strong, physical beatdown getting there) Tuff Enuff: 3.0 out of 5.0 (still not shabby)
Sealed: 4.0 out of 5.0 (all effects are just plain good here) ~matthewlow
